If that is what is allowed by the law for their retirement benefits, then yes, the Obamas deserve it. Perhaps it is time to change those laws? And for the members of Congress, who somehow manage to get rich during their tenures and leave office after decades of service with a healthy retirement also?

One day, there will be an ex-President Trump who will also receive the same benefits...probably even more.
Will he be as undeserving of it as any other considering he is richer than the others?
Surely you are aware that his crusade against the ACA has cost more than all those presidential benefits put together?

True that he is rich, doesn't need the pension, but by law, he deserves it. However, if actions speak, then he will not take it, just give it away like he is his presidential salary.

If you are so outraged, why don't you contact your representative or senator and get a bill passed to change the system?

I don't want to pay for any of their healthcare insurance. They make enough money to but it. If they shopped for it over the course of their careers they might know what the hell it's all about.
