Correction

Yesterday I was asked the following question here on another blog: "So you're calling for prosecutors to "see fit" to prosecute the many allegations of sexual assault against Trump?" I responded correctly with the following: "Did you hear me say they can't?"

Now while my response is correct that I did not say they couldn't. The fact is the DOJ has cleared up the issue, I will finish up with the total answer.

Two memorandum -- one from the Nixon administration and one from the Clinton administration -- that clearly spell out that a sitting United States president cannot be indicted.

The October 2000 memo from the Clinton Justice Department says:

In 1973, the Department concluded that the indictment or criminal prosecution of a sitting President would imperishably undermine the capacity of the executive branch to perform its constitutionally assigned functions. We have been asked to summarize and review the analysis provided in support of that conclusion, and to consider whether any subsequent developments in the law lead us today to reconsider and modify or disavow that determination. We believe that the conclusion reached by the Department in 1973 still represents the best interpretation of the Constitution.

I hope this helps the questioner understand better.

Bigblock I read your blog. You're trying to say Bill Clinton and Bill Cosby were accused of the same thing. And prosecutors didn't charge Clinton with a crime because of "White Democrat Privilege". Yeah right.

Trump won't be a sitting president much longer. I wouldn't be surprised if resigns soon. How about then .. will you be leading the charge to lock him up?

He's not going anywhere. And he will win in 2020, as long as Democrats have nothing on their mind but Stormy Daniels , the Russians, and raising taxes.

It seems so far the only "crime" is he committed is beating Hillary Clinton. For that he should get a MEDAL not jail!
