I Have Had It

I have had it, fed up with the reaction to What ever it it-no matter what it is. The typical media and leftist reaction is to blame President Trump as well blame anyone that supports President Trump. They make judgments on the basis of incomplete evidence in order to implicate their political opponents in crimes they did not commit. This is how free speech dies, and free thought along with it. Their goal is to have obedient serfs chirping the party line.

There are those here on SFF who attack as well as denigrate those of us who dare to disagree with them or question them on their source of information. There is one who calls those who disagree "inferior". History has documented that was the views of Hitler and the Nazis regarding the Jewish.

A quote from another: "I give up trying to reason with them or asking them to act in a civilized manner. They are for the most part a sorry bunch of deplorable people who refuse to see that Trump and Fox News are so dangerous, and obviously nothing will change their minds." Doesn't sound like a civilized remark to me by calling them "a sorry bunch of deplorable people."

I believe in freedom of speech and freedom of the press, two of the five rights in the First Amendment. But when the press blatantly lies and blatantly withholds information to propagandize a political view, this is akin to yelling fire in a theater. I just read Lisa Boothe's analysis on how NBC-- The Network of Huntley and Brinkley as well as Brokaw- once again sat on evidence and reported fake news regarding Justice Kavanaugh. The propaganda, especially in the Leftstream media is obvious-- 92% negative on Trump admin is not news, it is propaganda. The press and media used to have standards and ethics boards. If the industry does not bring those back, the divisions in this country will continue to widen.

The only certain thing about the Alphabet Media is that they walk in step with the Democrat Party.. Reporting the news is not their main game any more: they are now propagandists. The FCC, who issues the licenses to these stations no longer follow the rules and they all have changed their formats gradually and no longer serve the interests of the people. No wonder the President calls them the enemy of the people.

Every one is entitled to his own opinion. Facts are unalterable.

Thank you bigblock. You have stated it well. Of course you will get some replies that won't be very nice but that is to be expected in SFF now. Chat in SFF was a lot of fun when I first came in back in early 2006. Most of those people have left SFF now. But thank you again for being upright and honest on this political mess.

Sure, sure, you defend a president that persists in calling the media the "Enemy of the People", by saying that those who oppose him are killing "free speech"..........and you see no irony in that. You see no irony.

I see you still can't comprehend the written word. My statement is: "They make snap judgments on the basis of incomplete evidence in order to implicate their political opponents in crimes they did not commit. This is how free speech dies, and free thought along with it."

Its also ironic that you found no fault in response by one blogger that he found someone to be inferior. That was the view of Jews by Hitler and the Nazis.

Trump Derangement Syndrome has its own Wikipedia page and they define it as, “is a neologism describing a reaction to United States President Donald Trump by liberals, progressives, and anti-Trump conservatives, who are said to respond to Trump’s statements and political actions irrationally and with little regard to Trump’s actual position or action taken.”

Let the name calling continue....... it is their right. But they should also be prepared for more folks to "walk away".

Life's short. Be sure you spend your time on the internet, arguing with strangers over politics.

Really MsJoe people will walk away because of name calling. I didn't know Republicans want political correctness … now.

I guess in your world respect is a light switch to be turned on and off .. whenever.

Just curious, did you "walk away" when Trump said about Carley Fiorina …. 'Look at that face!' he cries. 'Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?

Or when Trump accused Ted Cruz's father of conspiracy to murder John Kennedy?

The reality is that many traditional liberals have been left completely disenfranchised by the new direction of the Democratic Party. These traditional liberals who still remain supporters of individual freedom have been unable to abide with the increasingly totalitarian politics of the left. For many, the only solution has been to walk away from the party they’ve supported their whole lives.

The growth of this movement is no doubt concerning for those on the left who are honest enough to admit that it exists and could be a sign that the “blue wave” that Democrats have been promising very likely may not come to fruition.

Block it's the same tired old story. Trump can't get no respect. And he's not going to get respect, EVER. It's too late. That ship has sailed.

I'd advise the Republican Party to get someone else for the job .. now.

You like it when Trump says whatever the f_ he wants to whoever he wants, right.
So words matter or they don't .. which is it?

Maybe ask Trump if words matter … he's the one not welcome in Pittsburg today because of his words …

His campaign attacks were against his opponents, not against the general population that supported those people.
I know of several people personally, that walked away from the Democrat party when the "basket of deplorable" statement was made. That is attacking a large section of the population of the country, not just one political opponent.

And you don't get the irony......and you think that quoting some Right Wing Propaganda site's definition of some ignorant made-up syndrome is relevant in some way.......Where's my face-palm emoticon?

You apparently don't understand the concept of "irony". The fact that I chose not to make a written response to something someone posted, does not constitute approval. There is no irony involved.

As for your concern over the 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution. The issue is the wording – and the interpretation – of the amendment, which states, “All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof are citizens of the U.S. and of the state wherein they reside.”

It was adopted at a time when the American public was worried about the proper treatment of slaves and their descendants.

The parts that birthright citizenship, are ‘naturalized’ and ‘subject to the jurisdiction thereof.’ You are not naturalized and you are not subject to the U.S. jurisdiction if you’re here illegally! You cannot be!

If anyone is immune to reason and civil discourse it's the Trumpies.
Why does a CNN reporter have to have security when covering Trump rallies?

In CNNs case, stop acting like a complete know-it-all jackass, like Acosta does.

In NBCs case, quit hiding information.

So this justifies threats?

If hiding information justified threats of violence everyone on Fox should be walking around with a couple of hard men looking out for them.

NBC News deliberately hid vital information that would have helped clear Brett Kavanaugh of the serial $ allegations Julie Swetnick and her attorney, Michael Avenatti, leveled against him.

NBC news should have their broadcasting license suspended indefinitely.

Simple fact is that neither would "need" protection if they did their jobs, which by the way is REPORTING the news of the DAY.

I could write out a very long list of petty attacks Trump has launched against US Citizens, groups of Citizens, friends and allies of the United States, POWs, a Gold Star Mother, federal judges, etc. … but I'm not going to. The press does it every day.

What I'm disputing is Trump's announcement that he can reverse it just with a few strokes of his magic sharpie......and his other pre-election barrage of lies......how about the one where he's giving the middle class a huge tax cut before the election, when Congress isn't even in session, or that the US is the only country that allows birthright citizenship, when there are 33.........And then he rants on and on that the media is Fake and the enemy of the people for reporting stuff that there is video of him saying....The media's job is not to only report on the favourable stuff he does. They are also going to report what other prominent people's opinions are of Trump's words and actions....I see that you wish that everyone was a Trump minion, but it aint gonna happen.

Did you have the same concerns over DACA? Which by the way is an executive branch memorandum, was announced by President Barack Obama on June 15, 2012. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) began accepting applications for the program on August 15, 2012. Have you forgotten . "We're not just going to be waiting for legislation," Barack Obama announced. "I've got a pen and I've got a phone...and I can use that pen to sign executive orders and take executive actions and administrative actions.". Mr Obama's Executive Overreach, as you are aware, could become Trump's Executive Overreach.

Just what actually happened as well as only verifiable facts. Don't hide or sit on stories like NBC. Of course that don't happen when Lester Holt does the news.
