Block, you can't have a serious conversation about illegal immigration without talking about PROSECUTING EMPLOYERS of illegal immigrants. Without that conversation ya got nothing dude .. a big zero.

Dusty Employers are not responsible for enforcing the law. Congress is at fault for not enforcing the law. Congress has the means to act & do something about the problem. The problem can easily be corrected if obstructionist cry baby politicians get real and put an end to it. Blame from both sides just passes responsibility to NOWHERE. Politicians are now threatening those at the front who have to deal with it. The whole damn bunch in DC is useless & inept in doing their job. If laws are enforced there would be no illegal aliens roaming in the U.S. We must all obey the law even those who are here for a visit. Party On!

Hiramhankwilliam, when the cockroach in the White House was campaigning for president did you ever hear him say anything at all about PROSECUTING EMPLOYERS OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS with stiff fines and penalties or closing them down? The answer is no, because the cockroach didn't do it.

Employers already are "responsible" for some of the most important parts of your life .. like reporting your earnings to the IRS and withhold taxes. They take responsibly for your Social Security withholdings, Medicare withholdings, Pension, 401k etc etc. Scanning employee "paperwork" and sending it to a database is not enforcing the law. Keep on rocken in the free world …

Common Block, employers are as much a part of the problem as anything else. There are plenty of employers who go out of their way to find illegal immigrants to hire. Illegals work cheap and they can't bitch about long hours or any other working condition … who are they going to tell. They don't require workman's comp insurance because when they get injured on the job they're fired. They don't require healthcare insurance, paid leave, vacations and more or any other benefit a US Citizen would have. A real sweet deal!

Would anyone agree that if Congress shut off the border there would be less of an illegal alien problem? I also agree that a Donald Trump wall is a monument to the white trash president. It's not gonna happen. This Congress won't allow it. Simple as that. Many in this Congress as well as State Governors are calling for "comprehensive immigration reform" … that would cover a lot of things like border security DACA, employers who knowingly hire illegal immigrants, and the fact that there are jobs that Americans CAN'T and won't do .. etc.. Bottom line is most come here to work. And you got a president who has a hard time putting three sentences together, he's lazy, ignorant of how government works and he only works with people who kiss his butt. So again, nothing's going to happen now. And speaking of walls and security .. do ya ever wonder how they get all that dope into all those prisons?

They do come here to work. They are good workers and appreciate having a job. They are better employees than most of the white boys out there. But they must come in the right way. If they do not--------They should be sent packing. I do not know how drugs get into prison but I know those bars keep people from sneaking in. LOL Party On!

Tx, those are your words not mine...but YES, if you an use an illegal labor force you need to be penalized. As for the Illegal alien .. I hear it costs 30,000 to 50,000 per year to incarcerate one person. What do you want to do with them?

What do I want to do with an illegal alien? #1 Close the border & eliminate the source. #2 Every illegal alien should be sent back home ----OR if she or he can qualify------let them file for a temporary work permit. If eligible they can file for citizenship. #THREE----for me----ILLEGAL has a certain stigma about it. Anything illegal should be dealt with in a stern manner. Illegals have no right to whine about treatment AND should not be coddled when they are caught.

Dusty do not forget.----I do respect your opinions. So now we punish an employer who hires a illegal alien. So an employer should not hire them. They come here to work------If they can not get a job what does anyone expect them to do?

Years ago when I was a Medicaid/Food Stamp Caseload worker, we would have a young child's social security card and there would be an extensive work history listed under the SSN. Even now when I apply for a job, I need my Social Security Card and Driver's License. People can come into the United States under a SAW Card. = Seasonal Agricultural Worker Card. They have a better chance of gaining Permanent Legal Status because they have already been vetted and determined to be law-abiding. The sneak-ins that we know absolutely nothing about are the problem. The democrats have created the problem with the overcrowded migrant detention centers because they refuse to approve the needed funds to fix it. They are vilifying Trump instead. Abracadabra
