You sure had quite the blow there!!!

I told a couple of my 'wet' coast friends that I had expected them to be blown over the Rockies and be landing on my doorstep in the Okanagan Valley!!

Wishing you a Peaceful & Healthy Christmas~~

I hope they have not been destructive storms............ but those pictures are fascinating. I love to watch and listen to the waves!
Our weather here was colder than normal at the first of the month, but has evened out rather nicely. No white Christmas though.
I like your Christmas tree picture...... lovely and majestic ornaments!

Well, yes, they have been destructive......people stranded on a dock that was washing away, having to be rescued......tens of thousands of people lost power, including me, for 20 hours......I wore a lot of wool and spent time in bed reading with a battery-pack strapped to my head...LOL.....brrrr. I do have a gas stove, so I had hot tea and soup.

There was a lot of damage all over the coast.....docks and boats getting smashed, boats sinking, ferry terminals, resorts and private homes with millions of damage.........and worst of all, lots of ferries not running .......people getting stranded in parking lots for hours or overnight....not getting home for Christmas or even worse.......not being able to do their Christmas shopping......I went on one ferry run .....It was raining sideways and there were huge waves crashing over over the deck and the first couple of rows of cars........and the ferry was dancing a Rumba...........Crazy weather......The only white we will see for Christmas is the surf............ And yes.....the Eagles are congregating in anticipation of the herring run.

Yup, that was exciting......the weather people say it's going to be sunny and calm on Christmas Day......we are having 20 of our nearest and dearest for Christmas dinner.....so it's going to be lively.......I'm thinking I'll go to my sister on the Schuswap River for Christmas next year.........Peace and Health right backatcha.......

Oh my. I guess we all have to deal with weather related problems at some time, but it sounds like you at least were prepared at home to handle it. When we were younger, I considered such situations as an adventure....... now, they are more of a difficulty and could become an emergency type situation.
Hope things have returned to more normal and you will have a wonderful gathering for Christmas.
