For all the people on this site who were so offended, outraged and just couldn't understand what Kaepernick was saying.......

Wow, that is powerful. I am very disturbed by the explosion of incidents all over the nation of law enforcement abuse and overt acts of racism by American citizens. It's horrible out there and Trump is responsible for all of it in my view.

Just saw the video of this horrific incident. So upsetting and sickening to watch. I can't understand how no one tried to help that poor man. The policeman showed no remorse what so ever.

The incident made news headlines on our local TV channel last night. It was hard to watch the thug refusing to remove the pressure on George Floyd's neck who repeatedly says 'I can't breathe', and the useless police officers who looked on ineffectually, perhaps even complicitly - Floyd was unarmed and handcuffed at the time. It was hardly surprising the local black community angrily took to the streets to rail against the murderous actions/inactions of the police officers involved.

The woman/dog in Central Park incident was also disturbing - thankfully retribution was swift - within 24 hours she was fired from her job, gave up her dog and made a public apology.

I remember how you ranted and raged against Kaepernick for taking a knee.....how you thought it was about insulting the flag........How you could not....however much we told you that it was about protesting the cop-killing of black men........about racism......Nope, you weren't having it.........according to you, your coloured cloth is worth more than Human lives.....I remember you complaining about Black Lives Matter.....

And I remember you calling yourself Pro-Life.........what glaring hypocrisy.

Block it is not a childish argumentative issue.
It is about hate and a guy dying that should be living today.

I have relatives who died for this country.
Anyone white black or otherwise who kneels before the flag while the national anthem is playing is insulting my relatives who died for this country.

There is hate within this country and always someone or something to stir it up in order to inflame a situation.

A damn white KKK cop kills a guy so now Kaepernick going against and insulting this country is OK????????????????????????????
Well I'm not buying it and it pisses me off.

Kneeling before the flag & the Anthem is NOT a protest-----it is bold faced insult to this country and every person who has fought or died for it .

NOW the freaking white cop killed the black guy. I wish a bunch of guys would storm the cops house or wherever he is and shoot the bastard. Just do not insult me or mine!

Society is what it is . DO NOT put it on me and mine. We didn't do it to you. Don't forget. Many of us died so you have the same opportunity we have.

Kaepernick and the KKK have something in common.
They are both a disgrace to this country.

Somewhere bone spur & Putin are smiling with all the hate going on.

I am pissed off and Kaepernick can go to hell along with the damn sorry excuse for a police officer who gives the good ones who risk their life for people a bad name.

And hopefully those who fought & died for this country did not fight or die in vain.

Yes & while you are bitching about it-----When bone spur is gone-------Americans will help defend other countries also.

My relatives who died doing exactly that and then get insulted by Kaepernick & his poor me crowd along with his followers can piss up a rope.

Sure, because throwing water and chanting is in the same category as murder.......So are you saying that these frequent murders of Black persons by cops is cops defending themselves or retaliation for being booed? Is the murder justified ?

And yet nowhere in all your comments have you expressed any regret or compassion for George Floyd, his family or the many other African Americans impacted by police brutality.

I would say to Tx that the US Military is a very small part of what the Flag stands for. The Flag represents 325 million of us EQUALLY and regardless of what you do .. did … or who your family is. The Flag represents our right to protest injustice as we see it.

Respect is earned, and if you don't keep earning it, it just might go away. I lost some respect for the Flag when a racist ran for President and won. I lost some respect for the Flag when a draft dodger mocked a Gold Star Mother and Vietnam War POWs .. and got elected President.

Well everyone can think what they want to think.
To me ---I have a relative who died------fighting for most of those who comment here.------I saw the flag draped over his casket when he was brought home from Europe----I saw the flag folded and presented to his mom my aunt and the extreme grief then but also the pride in later years of what it meant to her until she died.
For anyone to say it is a fucking piece of cloth pisses me off more than when that piece of shit Kaepernick or any other piece of shit kneels before it.

So you feel the way you do-----same here.----we part friends-----not that we ever
were. Nothing lost.
I will go with those who have died for it rather than the crowd who kneel before it. Whatever your reasons might be.

Men do not shit on those who died for them just because of their freaking poor me baby can't face the problems now.

If it represents something else to you---- you can wipe your ass with it but don't do it in front of me.

Many do deserve and need help but it's not wise to crap on those who would be willing to work together.
Party On!

Right so you can't deal with politics & what you don't like today so you don't respect what those who came before you did for you. I'm beginning to get it now.
You can't honor people dying in the military for you because you feel sorry for yourself. It's not about people dying for you.
It's all about YOU.
YOU
YOU and only you poor you.

well this may not make me any friends but i will say it like it is What happened to George floyd was wrong. NO not all cops are bad.No not all whites are bad. So why are cops being painted bad and the criminal being glorified Fact is he was a criminal that should by any reasonable standard been arrested and brought to trial. What bothers me as an ethnic minority is all the virtue signaling white people sticking up for my "native, black or whatever culture" because you think i am not capable or smart enough to stand up and fend for myself. Oh look you go let us help the poor helpless soul. Your true racism is showing strongly thinking we need you to stand up for us.
Yes i have lived with racism. Yes i have worked hard and proven myself and advanced faster than whites. No i do not need you telling me to be outraged at what happens. I have a mind that is capable of cognitive though process without being told what to think or feel.
