Mrs. Joe blocked me too......that's why I posted this. Bigblock and I disagreed mightily about politics, but we never blocked each other and had many moments of shared delight in grandchildren and the beauty of Nature....

I forgave Bigblock so many times I lost count. I loved to disagree with the guy and we fought like cats and dogs over everything. But every once in awhile we would exchange a couple of semi-civil comments and I never banned him from my blog and he never completely ceased commenting on mine. It became a contest between the two of us, trying to figure out how to piss each other off. He succeeded often in irritating me. He was the perfect example of everything I find wrong in America today. He was often suckered into believing crap I know he got from Fox News. It's difficult here to find quality debate on any subject. I did not find that with Bigblock but he would try at times. I suspected he had health concerns and I worried about that. On a few occasions I wrote columns about Bigblock, taking him to task and at the same time urging him to keep up his fight. Sometimes it was subtle, sometimes it was blunt. I allowed him to be as blunt as he wanted on my blog and never for a moment did I consider cutting him off. I even gave him the last word a few times. He was a good sport through it all and we had a thing finding ways to call each other names. I doubt many here understood our strange relationship. I also doubt he felt the same way I do about me. What nobody here now knows though...is that he started it all. I just never let go...and neither did he. I will miss him terribly, and I know that I will never find a foil quite like him again. This loss hit me hard even though I sensed it coming. I don't know whether I will stay here now. It's a huge loss for me.

I am shocked reading about BB's passing...... Resr In Peace, Bigblock...... My condolences go to his family and friends. I stayed away from political exchanges, but I could understand his political views and felt empathy for his health struggles which he mentioned sometimes. I'll miss him on this site.
