Wow what a lovely photo. Don't you just love old photos. The wedding pictures way back then are really awesome. My parents were married in 1931. Their wedding anniversary was on March 8th.

I do love old photos......I grew up with this photo and had not seen it for 50 year, until a month ago.....I wept to see my parents so young.....I was astonished to see how much my daughter's 15 year old son looks like my father.....

The pool of silk in the foreground was a train.....Apparently it was customary at the time to arrange it that way for portraits......The flowers are roses and lily of the valley, my mother's favourite flower.....and even now, I think of my mother when I smell them.....

I always liked that style of wedding gown, the slenderness of it and the train. It was great of your sister to send you the photo.
