"NO WAY TO PREVENT THIS," SAYS ONLY NATION WHERE THIS REGULARLY HAPPENS." From THE ONION 'No Way To Prevent This,' Says Only Nation Where This Regularly Happens is the title of a series of satirical articles from The Onion about the frequency of mass shootings in the United States and the lack of action taken in the aftermath of those shootings. Each article is about 200 words long, detailing the location of the shooting and the of victims but otherwise remaining essentially the same. A fictitious resident of a state in which the shooting did not take place is quoted as saying that the shooting was "a terrible tragedy", but "there's nothing anyone can do to stop them". The article ends pointing out that the United States is the "only economically advanced nation in the world where roughly two mass shootings have occurred every month for the past eight years" and that Americans view themselves and the situation as "helpless" |

This is the 17th time the Onion has used this title and the same basic outline for their article about a mass shooting in the US........ Another thing that has been repeated for years when a mass shooting happens in the US, is , besides "thoughts and prayers".....is "this is not the time for talking"......Thoughts and prayers don't seem to have any affect on the frequency of these mass shootings......Apparently Jesus loves AR-15s as much as the next guy.........

And, for the edification of Dumpster Diane , whose IQ seems to be shrinking by the day, I don't hate Jesus.........In fact, I don't hate anyone's imaginary friends....or their imaginary enemies for that matter.... People even regurgitated the "thoughts and prayers" crp when the victims of the mass shooting were actively praying as they were murdered.........

The NRA is a huge supporter of the Republican party. Why would they support gun control when the NRA donates a huge amount of $$$'s to their party. Why are they afraid to stand up to NRA? Politics and always will be in this scenario. We have enough shootings in Canada but not to this extent. Most of ours are gang related.
