I watched bits and pieces of the trial, and I feel the right verdicts were given. He was guilty and he was a dirty cop, but I hope that folks don't take that as a indictment against all police. There are bad people in all professions.
I did find it unfortunate there seemed to be an air of intimidation on the outside of the courtroom and I hope it did not affect the jury's decision in any way. I want to believe that he was found guilty on the merits of the prosecution's case, not on the fear of retaliation by mob rule.
I think it is sad that in that state, even if he is given the maximum sentence, that he would only serve half or less of it. Somehow, 12.5 years doesn't seem like much of a punishment or determent for murdering another person.

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Rejoice in a hallow victory.. that's more hollow than hallow.
Solutions that don't solve anything

False equivocation that are unequivocal.

Accountability that's unaccounted for.

Equal justice that translates into equal injustice.

I'm not defending Chauvin...I'm pointing a finger at the hypocrisy..The justification..The celebration and the BACKLASH that's sure to rear it's ugly head.

It's a sad day... maybe rightfully so for Chauvin...but as one goes.. so do we ALL go.

There seems to be an endless supply of dirty cops in the USA.......now that there are so many cameras, it becomes clearer what the cops have been doing all along and have gotten away with.....A couple of days ago, I watched a cop beat up a frail 73 year old woman with Dementia......she was barely 5ft. tall and 80 pounds......She had walked out of a Walmart with a $13.87 purchase, which the store clerks had taken away from her already.......there's a video.......The big cop grabs her, grabs her arm and wrestles her to the ground , holding her arm behind her and pushing it so far up her back, I was waiting for it to snap.......And then he handcuffs her hands behind her back, while she keeps saying in a monotone "I'm going home, I'm going home".......A man drives up and confronts the cop. asking him what he's doing,....saying "I saw you swinging that kid around"......the woman was so small he thought it was a child.......The woman's shoulder was dislocated........all for 13 bucks.....What the Hell is wrong with the cops?.

When they read his sentences to him all he did was blink his eyes. He showed absolutely no remorse. I am sure he figured his lawyer had it all figured out and would get him off. Glad to hear he got charged on three counts. I feel sorry for the Floyd family. That should have never happened.

He was wearing a mask, so all we could see were his eyes.....who knows what he was feeling......I have seen many different interpretation of his eye movements....With the eyes of they world watching and interpreting every twitch, I think most people would try to give away as little as possible.........

I did see his original police report on the incident of Floyd's death and he made it sound very routine and said only that he handcuffed him , then he died of an overdose......Chauvin emphasized that absolutely NO weapons were used........Makes you wonder what really goes on behind the police reports.......

Sparkle that is true he was wearing a mask. He probably figured he was just doing his job. I read yesterday in an article that him and George Floyd did security work at the same night club. So they did cross paths and whether or not if that meant anything to Chauvin they did not say. It was a complex case and it isn't finished as yet.

Yes....I read about them having crossed paths and thought maybe there was some personal animus that influenced Chauvin to torture Floyd...I also read that Chauvin had 18 counts of abusive behaviour on his work record.....
