It looks like bygone years when my mother hung the washed clothes on the outdoor clothes line. I have a drying rack and I sit it out on my balcony and dry my clothes. Dryers tend to ruin your clothes and I prefer naturally dried clothes as compared to using a dryer.

They should do "prepper" washing for the days when the wind doesn't blow and the sun does not shine,,,,,,,
When i am in Germany, I hang the laundry on the line in back of the house, love the scent of freshness.

I grew up with this technology and found it to be efficient, but a lot of work and time. Then we got all kinds of modern conveniences..... and now, we are beginning to realize that some of the old ways were really good ways.
BTW, even after my gramma got a clothes dryer, she used the clothes line and only used her dryer when the weather was inclement.

I love hanging the washing out on the clothes line on a nice sunny day. My line is broken at the moment so I'm using a clothes horse.I must get a new line put up, I really miss it.

I only use the tumble dryer to air clothes, if they need it. I never use it to dry wet clothes, much prefer to let them dry naturally.

Maudie you are an old fashioned type just like me. I use the dryer to dry my jeans and tops for about 15 minutes and then hang them up on hangers to dry naturally. Undies never go in the dryer ever.

I still enjoy my clothes line especially for bedding and towels ! However, my three donkeys enjoy removing them as soon as I go into the house !
