Yes, I did the crochet.....I have decorated hundreds of Salal leaves in this way.......all different........Loki is sort of my cat......My daughter and family live on the same property as me and they have 3 cats....

Lovely selection of "C" photos, especially beautiful Loki. Cool name too.

Crocheting was one of my grandmother's talents. She tried to teach me, but I must have 10 thumbs!

I'm curious about the leaf crocheting. I had never seen that craft until you posted about it before, and I may have already asked you this question.
How do you keep the leaves from just crumbling away? And is there a particular use for this unusual but lovely art form?

On seeing the mounties march, the Pet Shop Boys rousing 'Go West' surged in to mind, lol (I used to flog their cd's to death (almost) in the early 90's - so many catchy tracks with 'Rent', 'It's a Sin' and 'West End Girls' among my favourites - I thought they were brilliant; great upbeat dance music too).

I really like the clouds shot - was it taken late afternoon? And Loki the cat - for some reason I associated 'Loki' with indigenous American people; I thought perhaps the Loki were an indigenous tribe but couldn't find anything on the internet to corroborate that notion.
