EARLY WINTER, NO SNOW. THE MOUNTAINS HERE LOOK PRETTY MUCH LIKE THAT BEFORE THE SNOW FALLS, IF IT FALLS.

I had never considered the colors of winter, but you are right. Right now, our grass is still very green because we had a lot of moisture all summer, right up until the weather turned colder. We didn't even have the usual browning during August.
I've been noticing beautiful stands of various "pampas grass" in many folks' yards. I guess the rains made them grow extra lush this year, and now they are tall clumps of light tan and brown, but still beautiful and majestic. I'll be more aware of the colors of winter as I'm out and about now.

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Really beautiful winter pictures. I was away for the weekend with my sister. We went for a walk along thr seafront promenade. I noticed how lovely and green the grass was, some shrubs were still in bloom too. The wonderful carpet of beige, brown and rust leaves completed the perfect picture.

One of my favourite smells is Cottonwood buds in the Spring.......I used to make Balm of Gilead from those buds every year......Lately, I've been getting whiffs of it on the breeze in various places, but I can't locate the source.......They do blend in with the Alders.......

On the Skeena River there are huge stands of them......sand bar/islands of hundreds of acres......The trees are all exactly the same height and when the sun is on them, they glow an iridescent chartreuse. that shifts and dances in the wind........then the seed pods burst........The prevailing wind blows the cotton onto the highway, which is blasted out of the side of the mountain......There is river, 2-lane highway, railroad tracks then sheer rock.......The cotton hits the sheer rock and tumbles back on the road in huge rollags the size of cars and just keep growing........We always tried to catch that phenomena......

Sounds lovely.....especially the sister part......I had planned a visit to my youngest sister in Norway when Covid hit.......I haven't visited with any of my sisters for way too long........

I know whatcha mean about the goodies.....I have to monitor my food intake too.......

Epiphanies are some of my favourite events......I have a rainbow shower every morning to facilitate them....After I'm finished washing, I stand still under the spray, close my eyes, open wide my imagination and start the rainbow.....Beginning with a glorious, luminous red........I especially .enjoy the shifts the infinitesimal mergings of red to yellow.....that glowing orange........The green to blue,,,,,,,,sometimes I get distracted and lose focus and do it again...... Each day, a different colour stands out.......today it was lavender.......I feel renewed and E
xhilarated by colour.....
