WHAT A DIFFERENCE A LITTLE SUN MAKES

I was going to hike up to the lake to see if the crocus were blooming at the old homestead, but I didn't make it that far.....The Sunshine makes everything ambitious.....The chickens have started laying eggs again, the Eagles and Ravens are busy repairing nests and greeting each other, I heard a frog calling for a mate..,
..No signs of my own sap rising yet....still early.

I had to google "crocus". For a minute I thought you were talking about "crocs". Punxsutawney Phil prediction of six more weeks of winter is wrong. But then again, who believes that a groundhog sees his shadow and can accurately predict the weather, but I digress.

We live on opposite coasts, thousands of miles apart..too much for one poor groundhog to do..

Yes, WHAT a difference it can make! I makes everything look brighter and more hopeful. Even when it is just shining on the snow in 20 degree weather. I had Joe walk down the ramp to the garage door today and look outside. It wasn't too cold if a person didn't stay out long, but just looking out and seeing the high piles of snow along the road, glistening in the sunshine, was invigorating.

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

IF YOU WANT SUN, COME ON OVER. WE HAVE TOO MUCH OF IT THIS WINTER AND COULD REALLY USE SOME RAIN ON THE COAST AND SNOW IN THE MOUNTAINS. FRUIT TREES ARE BLOOMING TOO EARLY, THE MIMOSA IS WREAKING HAVOC ON ALLERGIES AND THE WIND IS CONVEYING POLLENS THAT SHOULD NOT BE HERE YET.
BY THE WAY, THE LAST PHOTO IS VERY STRIKING, THOSE BRANCHES SEEM ELECTRIFIED.

Your first picture looks very like my wood down in the valley where I walk the dogs. We have a little stream running up through the middle of the valley. I agree the sun makes a huge difference. Today we had the sun and rain together but its freezing cold. My snowdrops are in full bloom. February is such a great month.

Please excuse my tardiness in responding to your comment......The sunshine makes it look warmer than it really is when you're out in it for a while..

It's interesting to share the weather stories with people in different parts of the world......and yes, those branches were illuminated by a ray of sun that made it through the forest....
