Stunning! Bright flowers like that can brighten up anybody's day.

Bright, your stunning photo of Rhododendron has simply taken me back to my college days when I began reading love stories and novels written by Bengali Nobel Laureate poet Tagore. I first came to know about this stunning flower from Tagore’s poem,” Poth bnedhe dilo bandhon-heen gronthi.” Please allow me to post here two lines from this poem that I still remember:

“Hothat alor jholkani lege jholmol kore chitto”

"Uddhato jato shakhar shikhore rododendron-guchchho."

Kindly do not ask me to translate these lines in English. I may however tell you that the poem made me almost mad to see the blooming Rhododendron as it is not a bloom of flat lands where I grew up!

I may also be kindly permitted to say here that “the national flag of Nepal is the world's only non-quadrilateral national flag. The flag is a simplified combination of two single pennons, the vexillological word for a pennant. Its crimson red is the color of the rhododendron, the country's national flower.”
