A lesson the blogs taught me about myself. I like reading the blogs and sometime I like to write them. I have not written one other than the Photo Friday's lately because some blogs here are so mean spirited and petty .I can hear some of you saying now "well don't read those" I read this article and realized my problem. "When you want things to be a certain way and want your needs met you can become attached to outcomes. When your attachment to things going your way becomes too strong you open yourself to suffering. Too much pressure on the concepts you have about how things should look creates an energetic war within you" I have since learned that some folk may or may not know or care how their racist comments affect other people. Some folk who are Holy don't realize that what they write and who they say they are sometimes at odds. I am not judging anyone.........I am saying that I have learned to accept everyone for who they are. I have learned to let life be and release what I can't control. I can read any of the blogs here now and not " .flinch" |

Oh my sweet friend..... I usually don't get upset at attacks on myself, but I get boiling mad over racist remarks made to and about others..... especially by one certain person in the blogs, and I will continue to call her out every chance I get. Color is only skin deep, but attitudes go straight to the core. There are people of all colors with horrible attitudes and they just seem to want to dump them on others! Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

I read most of the blogs, but don't always comment on them, some just aren't worth the effort.

Sad to see what the blogs have become in recent years, isn't it brightsmile? There are certain bloggers who I just ignore, I don't even try to read their blogs, because I know they will be attacking someone. But there are certain blogs, and yours is one of them, which I always read and enjoy! Keep up the good work. Alfie...

There's an irony.... People who want to impose their will, may not even know it....So they may not agree that that is what they are doing. Like so many thing I see. There is a round about way of proving it. Those people ALWAYS feel someone else is trying to impose their will, on them.

Hello Maggie........I agree and that is why it is beneficial to all people to try to be involved in a diverse group. I have always mixed with people of other races or ethnicity's. Some folk fear what they do not know or understand..

Hi Bright: So sorry if you read a racist comment in our blogs. The insults against Canadians here are awful to read too. Actually there is a lot of intolerance in this group for some reason. I wonder if other internet groups have the same problem? I used to write blogs but stopped due to all the insulting replies I was getting. When I first joined I was shocked when I was insulted for no reason. I was hurt so easily back then, but over the years the insults seem to have toughened me up and now an insult doesn't bother me at all.

Hello Myseek...........I have found that people who are hurting and in pain tend to inflict pain on others. I don't take things personally that are said here either......but I expected older people to be kind and tolerant of each other here. I learned not to expect anything of people but to accept them for who they are..not who I believe them to be. Thanks for the info about the black assistant because I think that if we would let ourselves interact with people different from us we would all find out that people are the same no matter the color of their skin. Some good ,some bad etc.

We deserve it for the disrespect we show for the greatest nation on earth that saved us from the Germans twice, and then from the Soviet hordes just waiting to pour over the North Pole to steal our beer, poutine, and butter tarts.

Hi Bright... I definitely know what you mean and I must say that you are the dearest and most tolerant person here that I know. Never an unkind word, always very pleasant etc. I used to counter-attack when I was hit with abuse or abusive language but I now ignore those who made them. They're not worth the agony, life is too short etc to bother with the adverse thoughts... an old saying but so true 'ignorance is bliss'! Aren't we all a work in progress (lol)?

I know exactly what you mean,when I was younger I did a lot of "counter-attacking" also. When I look back on that time now I think to myself "if had only known what I know now"....lol.. I would still have long black hair,no wrinkles and a husband that loves me......lollol
