Hi Bright. All of those things motivate me every day. There are far, far more people motivated by good works than the selfish.

Beautiful, my friend. Perhaps, just maybe, most of us try to do that in the real world, but it seems when some folks get online, all civility is removed, and only hateful rhetoric is visible.
Hope you are having a wonderful autumn. We are traveling with the Duck again, and going to do it again next month to Branson. I will get to see my daughter from CA there too, so I am having a great month, in spite of some health issues for both of us. We just have to keep on, keeping on, don't we? And try to show our good side to others, and hope they pass it on.

Life's short. Be sure you spend your time on the internet, arguing with strangers over politics.

Hi Leaf...Glad you are back and thanks for responding. I agree with you and thank God there are more folk who want to do good works than those who do not....

Put my name down...…..although I do do this a lot and chuckle to myself when someone lets me go first 'cause I am a little old lady. I don't feel like one but the calendar sez I am.

I chuckle when people say they wish they had the energy I do.

Ye gods...….that calendar says I will soon be 78

Thank the Lord there are still some people who respect the rights of those that life brings them into contact with. I for one always try to do that and I know many others who do the same. Praise be to ALL of them.

It only takes a drop of ink to make a million people think. There are many stories.

Hello Mrsjoe....Sorry to hear you and Mrjoe are a little puny. You are right we do have to keep on keeping on........sometimes it is hard to do though. I am glad that you all are having fun traveling with Duckie,

I think that most folk do try to be civil face to face but some that I call" Keyboard Gangsta,s" can really get ugly behind the keyboard. I wonder sometime what their life must be like. I have encountered some "keyboard Gangsta,s" too.......lollol.

Well said!!!

I was just thinking about something similar this morning.

Canada is facing a national election one year from today, and attack messages are already being posted on FB. Attack ads only serve to divide us.
I want to know how our political parties are going to work in a co-operative effort to make our country the best it can be!

When our leaders show kindness and respect, they give us the impetus to do the same.

I think each of us need to find the joy in our life and our country, and kindness and respect is the way to begin ~~

Hello Joannita you are such a sweetheart that I can,t imagine you being any other way but glad you are signing on because we can make a difference.

When I think about 1 person stopped smoking in buildings and 1 person stopped prayer in schools it boggles my mind because I used to love to smoke.....lol. I say that to say can you imagine what a difference we can make if all folk try to be kinder to each other?

Hello Abelle.....Your name is down and when I met you and your husband I got the feeling that both of you were people who were kind and loving to each other and to people that you meet during the day. Thanks for your response.

Hello Alfie......... Thanks for your response. I am thankful too for the people who respect others and acknowledge another's humanity. You and your wife are like that and I am so happy that you both were brought into my life.

Helloooo Rocketship my friend ...Thanks for your response. I personally think that some folk are easily led and some are not. Sometimes folk take advantage of those of us who are easily led and that causes a problem. I am thankful that there are more folk like you and others in my country and yours who will treat others with love and kindness.........than those who wish to divide us and create hate.

It all starts with one person deciding to treat others as they would like to be treated.

I agree, well said. Rocket, thank for your input, so true!! But I do know that on FB there are actual 'political group' of which I happen to be a member of. I agree about next year's upcoming election and wish for the same things you do.

Bright, thanks so much for your great blog!

Hello Bright,

"Love is crying profusely
Love is in great pain and anguish
It’s shielded and surrounded by thick thorns
It’s pleading and begging for liberation
How did we get here?
Unfortunately I do not know
Who did this to the world?
You and l did
Who can heal the world?
You and I still
Let’s stop Hating, let’s start Loving
Let’s #SendHatePacking
Let’s #BringLoveBack
Let Love Reign Supreme".

The last paragraph of the poem "Hate Reigns Supreme'
by Uche Onwude of Nigeria.

Know then thyself, presume not God to scan; The proper study of mankind is man.

When I look at the world, I see a lot of fear, confusion and hate. I agree with Rocket to be kind and respectful in our own actions. I have empathy for those who are struggling and don't know what to do. - Love is a big word and a deep feeling, I have to admit that I have such feelings only for a few, for those who are very close to me.

Happiness is when what you think, what you say, what you do are in harmony. - M. Gandhi

Hello Looklook......Thanks for the poem and I liked it very much. Love and Hate will always be with us.

My blog is addressing the hate and ugliness that has sort of erupted in my country lately. It was probably always there under the surface but then someone came along and said it is ok to be mean spirited ,talk gross, spread hate ,tell lies etc and some weak minded folk felt it was their license to do just that. Just read some of the blogs here. I call those folk" Keyboard Gangstas"
.

Thank God there are more kind and decent folk in my country than those who are not and you can see that from the responses that this blog has received.

Hello Myseek............I agree there is a lot of fear, confusion and hate and I think that love will overcome hate . It begins with each person loving themselves and therefore can love others. Now that is my opinion because folk who don't love themselves can't love others. They have no well of love to draw from. Thanks for your input.
