It doesn't matter that there are two pics of Mott...... she was bigger than life and maybe it takes two to show that. See many friends in that picture...... and as Mott would say, "It was a LARGE time!"
Thanks for the tribute to a sweet gal.

Spring is here, it's beautiful outside. But let's sit on the computer and insult each other!

Those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end.... We did have some great get-togethers back then, didn't we? The paintings of Mott are great, Bright, I love them. Also enjoyed seeing old friends in the picture. Ann and I often look back on the old days and talk about what fun it was getting together.

It only takes a drop of ink to make a million people think. There are many stories.

You captured Mott's 'essence' remarkably well !

That's a great picture of a great group of people...I've met about 15 of them, several many times at various places, including my home.

I look forward to meeting you, and many of the others, in Biloxi next summer.

Mott was a wonderful person. I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to know her. I met her at the first bash that I ever attended...in Florida...in 2006. You did a wonderful job painting her portrait. She had the love of God in her eyes, her smile and her heart. Thank you for posting the portrait and the group picture.

I only met Mott once at the bash in Seattle in 2010. She also lived for a short time in Vancouver, BC and saw her here as well. We had a fun time in Seattle and she was always raring to go. Love your portrait of her. She was a member of SFF for a great number of years. I recall meeting her in the chat room when they only had one chat room. It was crazy times in those days. Thanks for taking us down memory lane.

The sad part of SFF has crossed our lives once again. I become sad now when I hear Mott's mane. She was my first lady friend in SFF. I know she is now free of pain and that helps me. I know where I will get to see her again and that helps me. I am glad our Creator said, "it is time to come home Mott, your work on earth is complete.".

I have re-framed from posting on the subject of her in the chat room or the blogs until now. I am sure the long time members know my relationship with this fine lady. I have always referred to her as one of the last "Southern Belle's". There are many, many wonderful memories I have off her.

After meeting her my first time in Nashville she was instrumental getting other ladies to come to my home for the weekend hoping to see a new colt born when she learned when my mare was due. I was only at the bash in Nashville for about four hours during the Saturday Night dance because I was afraid my mare may deliver early.

There were many questions as well as rumors about that weekend. I never responded to any of them. I just sat back and smiled while the ladies in attendance at my home educated them all within just a few times in the chat room.

I must thank Brightsmile for the beautiful painting. My knowing her work I knew it would be a master piece. I hope some way I can obtain a print of it. Ms. Mott was so special to me.

Oh and to my knowledge most everyone in the group picture taken in Macon GA had their copy enlarged and framed for their home. Everyone who had a camera had a picture made with it by the young man we had never seen before.

In closing I have decided this to be a short post on Brightsmile's Blog. I will be receptive to conversations at our next meet and greet honeybunz and I attend. about my lady friend Ms. Mott.

I met Mott first in the chat room and than she and others encouraged me to attend a bash in Florida. I was scared, excited and had apprehensions about attending. When I arrived Mott was the first to welcome me and encouraged me to enjoy and have fun. She was there to guide and help us newbies get through our first bash. She was a great lady who was kind, caring, loving and full of life. I will always remember her with love and kindness.

Bright thank you for sharing your painting, which is spectacular and you captured her spirt and beautiful eyes. Bright you did a fantastic job, as you do with all of your paintings. Thank you for sharing and letting us all see and remember Mott.

Bright, thank you so much for that lovely portrait of Mott; your painting of her captures the Mott I shall always remember. I first met her in FL back in 2007 and she welcomed me as she did everyone she met. What bundle of joy! Her persona made you believe in people again...not that I ever had much doubt but with Mott it was as if I had known her all my life (except for the southern accent lol). She certainly fought her dreadful disease without wanting us to feel sorry for her. Yet I often worried about her. I knew she must have been in terrible pain. I shall always have great admiration for this caring lady and although I was so very sad to learn she had passed, I now know she is at peace & without pain.
Thanks also for the photo of the SFF gang ... so many familiar faces I've met at one bash or another in FL.

You are a very talented woman. I sobered up before "Sex on the Beach" but there are plenty of other adventures out there.

Neat work, Bright. You have simply made the wonderful Lady Mott immortal.

    Quoting  :

Recipe for SEX on the Beach
Makes 10 8-ounce servings.
3 3/4 cups (30 ounces) cranberry juice
3 3/4 cups (30 ounces) fresh orange, grapefruit, or pineapple juice
1 1/4 cups (10 ounces) vodka
1 1/4 cups (10 ounces) peach schnapps
10 maraschino cherries with stems, for garnish

I can make a "Virgin" Sex on the Beach with cranberry juice, pineapple juice and lots of maraschino cherries. This means I don't have to worry about sobering up after the party and I can drive everyone else home.

Smiling...... so you don't chase fast men, eh? At our age, most of them have slowed down considerably, so do you chase slow men? LOL. Mr. Joe is VERY slow, and I know he don't mind your "chasing" him.... in fact, it just might be the other way around!
Thank you for the tribute to Mott. She was indeed a one-of-a-kind..... as are you.

I was fortunate enough to have chatted with Mott a number of times over the years that we were both in SFF. From what I have read about her in this blogg, she was truely a lovely lady.
