American gun owners are incredibly irresponsible and violent. They beat their spouses, get involved in alcohol and drugs, commit mass murders, kill commuters, cause chaos in churches, airports, hospitals, in schools, on universities and in the workplace. They kill in national parks, poach illegally, rob banks, pizza drivers, abuse the elderly. They expose their own minor children to guns and thousands of innocent people lose their lives each year as a result of gun owners.

This will hopefully stop other senseless killings. We don't need any more unstable paranoid people with guns out there.

L.eaf....You talk like every person that owns a gun fits the description that you have laid out for them. Every one that owns a gun is not irresponsible and violent. They don't all beat their spouses, get involved in alcohol and drugs, commit mass murders. They don't expose their own minor children to all of these horrible activities. I know there are a lot of people that fit your description but there are just as many people who own guns that do not fit that description. I own a hand gun. I am not irresponsible and violent. I have never shot anyone or wanted to shoot anyone. My gun is in a safe place. The minor children do not even know that I have one and certainly would not know where to find it. All I am saying is that ALL people that own guns cannot be thrown in one pile and thrown out with the trash. Don't try to lump us all together.

Wasn't the NRA involved with the Russia scandal?

Facebook is getting a harder look see too. Zuker got his seed money from a Russian for the start up of Facebook, or so I have read. Read where he would like to believe he didn't know anything about the Russians. I believe the Russians paid for their propaganda ads with ruples, or so I read.

Get rid of your gun. There is no polar bear in your driveway. For the love of God, get rid of the thing before you do something incredibly stupid, and kill someone, including yourself. If you have grandchildren why on earth would you want to subject them to such an incredible, and unnecessary risk. It's just the height of paranoia and utter idiocy.

Leaf I have been listening to you.
I have sold off the arsenal.
I am now down to two.
I did a carving on the stock of one when in the 7th grade. Duck landing on water.Do I have to give that one up?

Deb I an say from experience never point that pistol at anyone unless you are actually prepared to use it. That is something to think out NOW.

I saw a guy and his wife stealing my propane tank----grabbed the pistol stepped out side the door-----they were on the other side of a second building----I could not see them. So I thought---I am going to scare them so they will stop where they are,
Sooooo I shot the pistol up into the air----THEN INSTANTLY I thought----if they have a gun and come around that building I will have to use this thing or be killed.
Luckily the guy came around the building----hands in the air----waving a fake sales receipt so I had control.
But it could have ended very different.
Something to think about.

If the guy had a gun I would be forced to shoot him----not a pleasant thought.
Bravado and anger got me into it.

Leaf, you have no idea of what might be in my driveway. My gun was a gift from my husband before he passed away. I lived out in the country, no close neighbors....and he felt that I might need protection. I told you that it is put in a very safe place....only I know where it is. My great-grands are in no danger....nor is anyone else. It may be the height of paranoia and utter idiocy to you but not to everyone. I do not agree with you on the gun issue and never will. That doesn't make either one of us right or wrong...just different beliefs. But I can tell you this....I will not harm anyone with the hand gun and I will NOT get rid of it. Call me what you may. I do not like your name calling and putting people down. We will never agree on this so I will refrain from commenting on your posts. Have a good day.

I know a polar bear isn't in your driveway. I think your comment is very sad and disappointing. I think you demonstrate an arrogance, and a paranoia, and a sense of irresponsibility to possess that gun. Yes, it is utter idiocy Deborah. You are so typical of the very people I'm talking about, unstable.
