 Bright I have and continue to do this and accept my friends, no matter who they vote for, even though we have a difference of opinion. I have learned to agree to disagree and move on in life.

Hello Archer...Thanks for sharing and I understand families and friends can be split for many reasons. I think to split because of who you vote for is sad and causes so much pain. I think the person who says you must think as I think and vote as I vote to be my friend or family member is being unrealistic and wanting someone to dominate.

 HI Hermit in the city......lollol. I know a few bloggers here who do and that is a good thing. Some folk here just have strong convictions about what they think and I think they are good folk. They have just not let themselves see the other side of things or not asked themselves"what would I do in their shoes.?"

Hello Butterfly.......Thank you for saying that Butter. I do that too. I am sure there are a lot of folk who do. I put this blog up because I hope some folk will read it and think about changing or being more tolerant of people who might not think like them especially with their friends and family.

I will share this I do not vote Party line. I vote for the person that I feel will do the best job for the country. I Voted for Ronald Reagan and my Uncle in California asked me who I voted for and I told him. He chewed me out and was very angry. I told him I vote as I choose. I was not mad at him and the next day he was over his mad and we were back to being friends because he loved me and I loved him.

 It used to be easy to accept different political positions. It's not anymore and I frankly don't want anything to do with the dysfunctional and overtly racist and deplorable Trump supporters. I can forgive them but they have to clean up their life.

And if there is only one culprit...they NEVER recognize themselves. It always the "other" one.

And if it be true... that I am the culprit..because I walk away from them...and I can't be friends with people I'm willing to walk away from...Then so be it.

Hi Leaf........You are a smart man and I like you but I think you do yourself a disservice when you say "I can forgive but they have to clean up their life". You can only change yourself not other people. If you are unhappy with what some folk do or say then you have given them power over you. That is the way that I see it and I think you are too smart for that.. Or are you?
