*~*~*~* At my sister's spring last year *~*~*~* A couple of days ago I talked my sister, see how she is getting along in this year's new reality. As she has problems walking due pain in her knees and also her spine, she is more or less confined indoors and refreshed her knitting skills and knits socks, shawls and matching hats for all her , grand and great-grand are asking for more and more.  We also talked about the time when I visited her last year, having Ice coffee at an Italian ice-cream parlor, asparagus that was harvested at that time, our little shopping trips garden centers where we enjoyed the sumptuous flower beds and pots and bought loads we could hardly fit into the car. LOLI found a few pictures of my last year's visit. It's all about food. LOL 1) Ice coffee 2) White asparagus with ham and Sauce Bernaise 3) My sister 4) Coffee and cake on the terrace at my sister's 5) Salad and goose, my choice at the Kiepenkerl (a very family restaurant) 6) Berlin style fried calf's liver with onions, boiled apple pieces, mashed potatoes and butterhead lettuce       Happiness is when what you think, what you say, what you do are in harmony - M. I don't know, when I can take a flight back again. That "old world" won't be the same anymore - for sure. I remember how much you were looking forward to visiting your sister in AZ in the past. With the new rules traveling is no fun. I understand your sister's suffering from the sudden unexpected loss of her daughter. There is no answer to "why her"! I hope, she has people by her side who bear with her. Loved your blog MySeek....it is pretty much quiet times for me here in Vancouver. I talk to people in my building where I live and also to people I know when we meet up on the street. I know at my age Covid would not be kind to me. So I still do the things I did back when Covid first started. I have distant relatives in Germany and Switzerland. The couple in Switzerland used to travel a lot and I used to follow their travels on FB. They haven't posted anything in the last 6 months so I hope they are okay.

Oh Earthy I am so sorry to hear about your niece. I have read recently about people being re-infected with Covid and it is far worse second time around. There is so much they don't know about Covid. I went today and got my flu shot. I take all the precautions that I can get.
