So true...There is a beautiful buck and doe grazing in my yard as well as the fawns and the birds are enjoying the Holly berries. There are flocks of Chickadees eating the fallen Spruce seed and the Squirrels are busy in the trees next to my house , throwing down the Fir cones and scampering off with them and the Raccoons are in the garden eating abandoned pumpkins.......And I'm inside looking out........But I go out for a long walk every day....down the quiet road and around the fields and into the forest........I'm not stuck in the house, I just don't mingle with other Humans and it's getting harder all the time.....We can't sit outside anymore........Christmas will be very weird..

Sparkle yes with the colder days people are stuck inside more now. The short days don't help. Christmas is going to be bleak for some people. I don't plan to go anywhere as the planes have Covid on them. So I will be doing my own thing.

Sparkle, for those who live outside big cities, it is not that hard to cope with what's going on. I have one Raccoon visiting from time to time after dark. He is eating the leftover of the bird seeds on the deck attached to my kitchen. I love the big eyes staring at me when I open the door. Two days ago I watched a video of a group of 25 raccoons visiting a man in the rural area of either Alaska or Canada. He feeds them every night with buckets of hot dogs, cookies, grapes and finally heaps of dry food spread on the deck. He said, he needs to do that to get them through the very cold winter. One of the raccoons tried to get into the man's cabin each time when he went to pick up another container of the good stuff.
