Photo Friday - Letter B 1) and 2) Birthday Dinner on Gene's B'day in 20 Our waitress took the photo 3) My Breakfast when I am in Germany 4) Beginning of August every year the Appalachian String Band Music Festival was a big event in West Virginia. Nice selection of Bs. That bread looks delicious. My favorite is the banjos.... I love banjo music. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Tender memories :- ). Your friend Gene would have been very talented to be able to make and sell banjos - I imagine he found it very rewarding. Your breakfast looks very healthy - with the table display, how much of it would you eat?

THAT BREAKFAST REMINDS ME OF THE BUFFET BREAKFASTS IN AUSTRIA AND NORWAY. NO NEED FOR LUNCH IF NO ONE SAW ME PUT THINGS IN MY BAG.

MySeek I love your display of photos. Your breakfast photo was especially interesting. That bread is very typical of Germany. Your Gene was obviously very talented. The display of banjos is awesome.

Tender memories :- ). Your friend Gene would have been very talented to be able to make and sell banjos - I imagine he found it very rewarding. Your breakfast looks very healthy - with the table display, how much of it would you eat?  - Making and playing that instrument was his passion in his free time. When we had that open booth at the festival in WV it was not about selling, but he loved it when young people stopped by and showed interest. They could not afford buying, and he let them have one for $50 or $100 max. I like to have a choice of food for breakfast. I don't eat much..... a role, half with cold cut, the other half with butter and jam and a slice of bread with curd cheese...... and some fruit. The rest goes back into the fridge! I would love to share my breakfast with you, but distance is in the way. I did not know much about banjos before we met but since love that instrument. Gene has made banjos for decades. Being at this festival was enjoyable and meeting other sellers he had known for 20 or 30 years. Some of them came over from Canada for this event. Nice photo of you and Gene. And what happened to the banjos? Some banjos I gave to his family, I let them choose which ones they wanted to have. Unfortunately, none of them ever tried to play the instrument. I have 3 instruments in my living room, and the rest in cases stored away. I am not thinking of selling.
