I have to agree with that statement.

Communication is not always the answer..................
| ||

I think the more often folks step over that 'divide' to try and understand another's feelings and thoughts, the better our society will be.

To understand each other one has to communicate..... Right? As in truly listening/hearing - a spirit of openness, temporary suspension of judgement/preconceptions would be more conducive to establishing trust, of sharing/wanting to engage. One can't hear if one's mind and heart are closed. Sadly, I don't think communication is as straightforward as we perhaps would like. Us humans are complex creatures and ego often entangles.
