*~* Christmas Time *~*
It's been a while since I posted a blog.... I have not been at my house for almost one week due to a power outage. My county was the center of the blackout. They say, it was a "violent act"...
My stepdaughter heard about it on TV, jumped into her car and picked me up the day after that event. I am very grateful that she brought me to her warm home, out of that miserable situation.
I am back and started decorating the house for Christmas.

 So glad you finally got to go home! Did they ever catch the person who sabotaged the power grid?

I was going to decorate yesterday, but had brunch with the new friend. Today I will drag the decorations out of the closet and get things started at least.

 SORRY TO HEAR YOU HAD TO LEAVE YOUR HOME OWING TO AN OVERLY LONG OUTAGE. WE ARE BEING THREATENED WITH 2-HOUR OUTAGES OWING TO LACK OF MAINTENANCE AT NUCLEAR POWER STATIONS. KIND OF MAKES YOU WONDER, DOESN'T IT???

 Sorry to hear that. Everybody was asking me if I was ok. I also live in NC. There r so many sick people out there ! I hope they were caught.

That attack on the power grid taught me to be prepared in case all the lights go out in the future. I'll buy a generator, perhaps EcoFlow, and have something installed that I can open the garage door manually.
I won't overdo with my Christmas decoration. It's just to get the feeling of this special time.

I am just putting a highlight here and there. The poinsettias are natural plants, and will try to keep them alive like I did with the taller of the three. I am glad that all is normal again.

This outage was caused by an attack on the power grid. They also call it a Terror Attack, and the FBI is investigating. I don't know yet what they found out. In Europe the governments are planning short-term outages for lack of energy. It makes you wonder why exactly this time of year!

I was thinking of you when it happened where I live. It's normally a very safe location with no crimes. I like simple things, a little touch here and there.... I will stay here on Christmas Day. That is fine with me. New Year I will celebrate with my stepdaughter's family.
