MY WISH AND MY PLEA

"How sad, a heart that does not know what love is, that does not feel the greatness of love. If it doesn't have true love, how can it enjoy the blinding light of the sun, the beautiful colors of the rainbow and the soft light of the moon?"

TRIBUTE TO THE INNOCENTS VICTIMS OF PARIS ATTACKS.

Those devils has struck in France again, several places in Paris, the city of light, killing innocent people, who had nothing to do with them. Young people full of life, of energy, of hopes and full of plans for their future. The people who were just enjoying their time at a rock concert in the theater, having their meals in restaurants and also in cafeterias.

The devils have taken away those lives, exterminated them, slaughtered them, assassinated them, snatched them from their parents, spouses and . Those satanic spirits with their diabolic acts and demonic mindsets, have spread terror, fear, tears, panic and grief, not only in France but the whole world through. Among the dead, were also 19 other nationalities, with different faith and different colors. The wish of those devils, was just to eliminate and kill as many as they could.

This type of terror isn't meant only for France, but it can be in any other country, yours, mine or any one else. These monsters, are cadaver-mongers, blood thirst and power imposers. Their aim is to eradicate all other faiths and religions in the world and to force theirs. This is their real coercion.
Their pertinent sectarianism is what they want to force on all of us. This must not be overlooked or taken lightly. Our corporation, solidarity and unity are essential, paramount and pivotal, in these circumstances. For all of us, for our generation, for our , for our existence and for our Liberty. Yesterday is a memory, today is a gift and tomorrow is a mystery and uncertainty.

“There is no foot too small that cannot leave an imprint on this world. The sacredness in tears are not the mark of weakness, but they speak more eloquently than ten thousand words. They are messengers of overwhelming grief…...and unspeakable love.”

I have posted below, some group photos of those who have lost their lives unexpectedly and innocently, at the bloom of their age. It's my way of paying tribute to each and everyone of them.
I hope this blog will please you, thank you for your read and your views.
Sincerely,
Lisa.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May your souls RIP, dear ones".

ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL AND LARGEST FLYING......

It's "The magnificent Peacock ".

The term peacock is properly reserved for the male; the female is known as a peahen, and the immature offspring are called pea-chicks. Peacocks have some of the most highly specialized dorsal plumage in the animal kingdom and is one of the largest flying birds when the combined length of its train and its large wingspan are considered. The varieties of beautiful peafowl: Indian Blue, White, Pied, Spalding, Cameo, Oaten, Purple, & Silver Pied, Midnight Black Shoulder, White Eye, Dark Pied and Green.

Peafowl include two Asiatic species (the blue or Indian peafowl originally of India and Sri Lanka and the green peafowl of Burma, Indochina, and Java, they are from the Phasianidae family. Known for the male's piercing call and, among the Asiatic species, his extravagant eye-spotted tail covert feathers which he displays as part of a courtship ritual. The functions of the elaborate iridescent coloration and large "train" of peacocks are served to attract females. The peacock "tail", known as a "train", consists not of tail quill feathers, but highly elongated upper tail coverts. These feathers are marked with eyespots, best seen when a peacock fans his tail. Both sexes of all species have a crest atop the head.

Occasionally, peafowl appear with white plumage. Called the White peacock. This is quite rare and almost all white peafowl are not, in fact, albinos: they have a genetic mutation called leucism which causes an overall reduction in pigment which, in peafowl, causes a complete lack of pigment in their plumage, but still leaves them with
Blue eyes. The vibrant iridescent plumage colors are not primarily pigments, but structural coloration. Such structural coloration causes the iridescence of the peacock's hues interference effects, depend on light angle rather than actual pigments.
Male peacocks erect their trains to form a shimmering fan in their display and shiver to attract females.

The number of eyespots in the train predicted a male's mating success. The intricacy of the "song" produced by displaying peacocks proved to be impressive to peahens. Singing in peacocks usually occurs just before, just after, or sometimes during copulation. Alerting other males of mating may reduce interference or synchronize breeding times. Peafowl are omnivores and eat most plant parts, seed heads, insects and other arthropods, reptiles, and amphibians. They actively hunt insects like ants, crickets and termites; millipedes; and other arthropods and small mammals. But domesticated peafowl eats anything from the owner.
They retreat to the shade and security of the woods for the hottest portion of the day.

I had a very beautiful green and blue peacock when I was working in Nigeria. I got it as a gift. It was very tame, and used to roam around in my garden, picking insects beside the food we used to give it. Sometimes it would fly up and rested on a huge tree in my garden, then came down as soon as it saw us outdoor. It used to scream calling the others. Everyday, it used to shed a few colored feathers from its train, for new ones to grow. I picked them up and gathered them for a display in my living room. Each feather has its colorful eyespot. When I came back to my country, I brought them along and still have then till now. "A remembrance of my beautiful peacock."

Posted below are some photos of different colorful peacocks, hoping they will please you. Happy viewing and thank you for your reads and views.
Sincerely,
Lisa.

Suryia the orangutan, was so depressed after losing his parents. He wouldn’t eat and didn’t respond to any medical treatments. Veterinarians were even worried that he would die from sadness. But that all changed the day Suryia met a homeless hound named Roscoe.

Roscoe looked really thin, sick and lost, he was also treated, fed and taken care of . The hound was spotted by the orangutan who immediately went over to him to make friends. Though dogs are usually scared of primates, but they took to each other straight away. Few calls were made to see if Roscoe belonged to anyone and when no one came forward, Roscoe ended up staying.

THE DOOR TO HELL, AT DERWEZE IN TURKMENISTAN

Forty years ago, a vast molten cavity known as the Darvaza crater – nicknamed the “Door to hell” – opened up in the desert of north Turkmenistan, and has been burning ever since. Now, Canadian explorer George Kourounis has become the first to make the descent into the fiery pit to look for signs of life.

The origin of Turkmenistan's Darvaza Crater – nicknamed the "door to hell" – is disputed, but the theory most widely accepted involves a Soviet expedition to explore for gas. A Turkmen geologist said the borehole was set alight in 1971 after fears it was emitting poisonous gases. It has now been burning for 44 years now.

The crater, which is 69 metres wide and 30 metres deep, is located in a natural gas field in Ahal Province in Turkmenistan, which has the sixth largest reserves in the world.
George Kourounis, a Canadian explorer, became the first person known to have ventured into the pit a few year ago. The aim was to collect soil samples from the bottom of the pit, to try to establish whether life can exist in such a harsh environment.

"The story behind how the crater came into existence has been sort of shrouded in mystery, and there's no other place like it on Earth," Kourounis said. "It is very unique, in that there's no other place where there is this pit of burning methane that's being ejected from the ground at high pressure". The project took 18 months to plan and to practice lowering Kourounis in and to prepare him for not panicking being up close around the flame.

Kourounis admits he was a little nervous before the expedition.
"When you first set eyes on the crater, it's like something out of a science fiction film," he said. "You've got this vast, sprawling desert with almost nothing there, and then there's this gaping, burning pit... The heat coming off of it is scorching. "You have to shield your face with your hand just standing at the crater's edge. Here I am thinking, ok , maybe I've bitten off a bit more than I can chew.". To withstand the intense heat, Kourounis wore special breathing apparatus, a heat-reflective suit, and a custom-made climbing harness made out of Kevlar so that it would not melt.

The crater has become a minor tourist attraction in Turkmenistan, though Kourounis says he didn't have any trouble with crowds of people turning up to watch him. Kourounis compared his experience of descending into the pit with what it might feel like to land on another planet. He describes it as a "coliseum of fire" made up of thousands of small flames, which together sound as loud as a jet engine.
"You feel very, very small and very vulnerable in a place like that," says Kourounis.

"We did find some bacteria living at the bottom that are very comfortable living in those high temperatures, and the most important thing was that they were not found in any of the surrounding soil outside of the crater, He said. "Outside of our solar system, there are planets that do resemble the conditions inside this pit, and knowing that can help us expand the number of places where we can confidently start looking for life outside of our solar system.".

Turkmenistan is one of the most isolated countries in the world, yet its fledgling tourism industry hopes to capitalise on crater as an attraction for thrill seekers. Because it’s not fenced off, visitors can stand right on the edge of the crater, despite the safety hazards.

Th following photos will give you and idea of how it looks like. Hope you will enjoy it. Thank you for your read and views.
Happy viewing.

Lisa.

THE INCREDIBLE STORY OF A TRANSGENDER .

My blog today, is the true story of a Transgender and the parents who has endured such heartbreaking circumstances.

"Transgender" essentially means having the body of one gender with the brain, the mind or the spirit of the opposite gender. So, being transgender means one has something other than what everyone assumed he/she was at birth.

"A lot of times, don't say anything or they keep it hidden or they modify their behavior based on the wishes of those around them", said the therapist. But when they start feeling about how they should dress, which line they should stand in or what activities they should be involved in, they start speaking up. Those sort of things indicate the parents that there is some distress going on because the brain gender identify is not matching the birth sex". The following story is an example:

A couple got the news in 2007, that they were having a baby girl, but they had no idea that in a few years' time they will be raising a instead. The first surprise came when they discovered that Ryland, their baby, then aged one, was born with a severe hearing impairment. The parents were heartbroken, but thanks to cochlear implants their was able to hear and communicate. They thought they had overcome their toughest challenge. But there were lots of other signs from the which shocked them. After learning to speak, Ryland declared to his parents: 'I am a boy.' In later age, everything had changed the day Ryland announced, "When the family dies, I will cut off my hair so I can be a boy."

Even though the lived in a room painted pink, sported long blonde hair and was dressed by his parents in girly outfits, he naturally gravitated toward everything masculine.

At first, the parents ignored the signs, thinking that Ryland was just a tomboy, or that it was a phase that soon will pass. But by the time Ryland turned five, he started actively rejecting everything feminine and soon was overwhelmed with a sense of shame. Everything had changed the day Ryland announced, 'When the family dies, I will cut my hair so I could be a boy, ' Ryland had told his parents on one occasion. The parents sought professional help and began researching the topic of childhood gender identity on their own. There was only one obvious answer: Their was a transgender. The couple, who also have a younger , were frightened to learn from a recently study that 41 per cent of transgender people have attempted suicide due to lack of societal acceptance.

"Do I want a living or a dead ?" "We were not willing to take that risk", said the parents. Family and social acceptance are key factors in the health and well-being of someone who is transgender,
Determined to prevent their from becoming a statistic, they decided to wholeheartedly embrace Ryland's true identity. The parents cut the 's blonde locks, bought a new masculine wardrobe and started using the male pronounces 'he' and 'him' when referring to Ryland. They also redecorated his room, doing away with pink furniture and bedding to make Ryland feel more comfortable. As they continued acquainting themselves with their new reality, the parents learned from experts that 's gender identity emerges between the ages of 3 and 5.

'Ryland's gender identity was not caused by our parenting style, family structure or environmental factors,' the couple stated.
And at times difficult journey, shows Ryland happily playing baseball and soccer, wearing ties and even dancing with a little flower girl at a wedding reception. 'Relative to the horrific things that people have to endure with their all over the world, this is nothing", his parents said. One of the most inspiring things that was to encourage people to come out; to let their voices be heard; break down the walls, break down the barriers and start allowing people to see them for their authentic selves and be true to themselves. Ryland's story can help educate people and provide hope to other families in similar situation. It isn't some weird thing. Ryland has since become a happy "boy", living with his parents.

I hope the above story has given you an insight of such a particular case. Let's not have any negative attitude or behavior towards such people. We should always remember that we are all human beings despite our feature. All these people need.... Love, Understanding, Acceptance, Courage and Support in such situation.
Thank you so much for your read and thoughts.
Sincerely,
Lisa.

" MY HUSBAND, ME AND OUR ".

Being on this site just over 3 years now, I am pleased to give my friends on here, a brief description of my husband and our matrimony.

Briefly, my hubby and I, are from two different countries. He was born in Egypt, from a Christian family originated from Italy, a settled generation there, since very long ago. He is a degree holder in: 1)- Mechanical Engineering, 2)-Waste water engineering and 3)- a Master degree in Environmental Engineering from Delf Uni, in Holland. He had left Egypt, in his late 20s, due to religious discrimination and had settled in USA, where he had worked for some well known companies. Thereafter, he was appointed by the UN as a Consultant Engineer with the WHO.

We first met in a party, during his official visit in UK. While, I was visiting my uncle there. We got acquainted during a party and it was just a flirt at first sight, I was very young with no marriage intention and I was hesitant too, due to the gap of age between us. We parted at the end of the party. He had left after his mission in UK and I, after sometimes, came back to my country Mauritius, for my work, being a professional French teacher. But fate or destiny wanted us to meet again unexpectedly a year later, when I was appointed by Air France, in Madagascar. Coincidentally, He came there too, on his UN mission. We found each other again suddenly after the church service, but this time, he didn't want to loose me again. After his mission, he came to my country to meet my parents and to fix our marriage which was celebrated 4 months afterwards. This was his first marriage as well as mine.

After our one month honeymoon, we had to travel as my hubby had to resume his missions in several other countries, scheduled by the WHO. We've been in lots of countries in Europe, Africa and the USA and Canada. But for his retirement, he had preferred to settle in my country, where we are residing now. Unfortunately, I have had miscarriages a few times before but God has lastly blessed us with a beautiful baby girl. Our is now 22 yrs of age, studying Psycho-Neurology at the university in France. We have had a beautiful, decent life all through. We were fondly in loved with each other.

Some years back we had encountered some differences due to his advanced age which has provoked an intense spousal jealousy and possessiveness towards me, though I'd tried but I could hardly support. Our divorce was filled but my husband refused to sign it. Afterwards and for a certain period, we had lived separately, he, in an apartment and me in my house. He couldn't bear it, he felt so detached and desperate and lonely.
Parkinson started affecting his hands, eventually, I couldn't let him be on his own totally, so I brought him back home and came to a mutual agreement in sharing our residence, having my own freedom and my own respected life too.

Though, he has a private home Doctor and a nurse for his checkup and medical care, we also have a house maid and a gardener but my presence at home is much more worthy than anything else for him. Now, he feels more secured, happy, peaceful and accompanied too. I do my best to help him in my own way and I've pledged to do so until his last day. He has always been a very careful, respectful and loving spouse, he had always advised me calmly with respect and he had done all his best for me in everything during our matrimonial life together. He dearly loves our and caters for all her needs for a good living and for her higher education abroad. In return for all of his kindness, his goodwill, his care and his being noble-minded towards us. I do not regret caring and helping him in my own way, at his last state of life. I've pledged to do so until his last day in this world. I pray God to bless him always and even beyond his time.

This is a brief account of my small family and my kind of husband. Below are some photos of us, hope they will please you. Thank you so much for your read and views.
Sincerely,
Lisa.

" THE YANGSHUO COUNTY AND THE KARST LANDSCAPE OF CHINA "

My blog today is on River Li and Yulong River of China,
just a moment to perceive other beautiful places elsewhere, in our World.

The stretch along the Li River is probably the most renowned and popular in Yulong village in China. The traditional bamboo rafts and some plastic pipe rafts with two stroke motors. The "raft experience" is now a boom industry and hundreds of these small rafts cruise this route when the big tour boats have passed. The rafts are safe and the better operators provide life jackets.

Yulong village is a pretty valley, said to rival in terms of beauty with rafting on bamboo rafts, another popular way of seeing the valley is by cycling along the riverside tracks. The journey goes through many farming villages and past several stone bridges across the river. Yangshuo, a county and resort town in the southern part, is known for its dramatic karst mountain landscape and for outdoor recreation. The town is set amid pinnacles like Bilian Feng (Green Lotus Peak), which has a hiking trail to the top. Tour boats offer cruises on the Li River past picturesque countryside from the town of Guilin to the North.

For its karst landscape where there are hundreds upon hundreds of limestone hills dotting the countryside. The beautiful scenery here is a common subject of Chinese paintings as well as the inspiration for nature. There are several popular areas for karst landscape sight-seeing which can be covered by river cruises, bamboo-raft cruises, cycling, trekking and combinations of the various modes.
Islands and islets, forming a spectacular seascape of limestone pillars. The place’s exceptional scenic beauty is complemented by its great biological interest.
Below are some pictures of Yulong and Li rivers with the karst landscape which I hope will please you. Thank you for your read and views.
Happy viewing.

I DID IT............MY WAY .... TOO

Dear readers, today I've posted this blog on the song called " MY WAY ". This song is from the unforgettable Legend Frank Sinatra. The song epitomizes some facts of his life, facts which some of us may have experienced too. Some past Circumstances, which may still be remembered. I have experienced such occurrences. I've lived them, survived them and gone by them.

I've faced it all, I have stood tall and done it MY WAY.

Below, are the lyrics of the song and Listening its sweet melodious tune, the heartfelt expressions and the golden voice of Frank Sinatra, make us really ponder on facts of life and I hope someone peculiar would ponder too.

The songs I mostly love from F. Sinatra are: MY WAY; STRANGERS IN THE NIGHT; SOMETHING STUPID; YESTERDAY; KILLING ME SOFTLY; and IF YOU GO AWAY. You may try these on UT**. They are really wonderful. Thanks for your read and views. Wishing you my best of all.
Lisa.

Lyrics of the song: " MY WAY "

AND NOW, THE END IS NEAR AND I FACE THE FINAL CURTAIN,
MY FRIEND, I SAY IT CLEAR, I'LL STATE MY CASE OF WHICH I'M CERTAIN.
I'VE LIVED A LIFE THAT'S FULL, I'VE TRAVELED EACH AND EVERY HIGH WAY.
AND MORE, MUCH MORE THAN THIS, I DID IT MY WAY.

REGRETS, I HAD A FEW BUT THEN AGAIN, TOO FEW TO MENTION,
I DID WHAT I HAD TO DO AND SAW IT THROUGH WITHOUT EXEMPTION.

I'VE PLANNED EACH CHARTED COURSE,
EACH CAREFUL STEP ALONG THE BYWAY.
AND MORE, MUCH MORE THAN THIS, I DID IT MY WAY.

YES, THERE WERE TIMES, I'M SURE YOU KNEW,
WHEN I BIT MORE THAN I COULD CHEW,
BUT THROUGH IT ALL WHEN THERE WAS DOUBT
I ATE IT UP AND SPIT IT OUT,
I FACED IT ALL AND I STOOD TALL, I DID IT MY WAY.

I'VE LOVED, I'VE LAUGHED AND CRIED
I'VE HAD MY FILL, MY SHARE OF LOOSING,
AND NOW AS TEARS SUBSIDE, I FIND IT ALL SO AMUSING
TO THINK, I DID ALL THAT AND MAY I SAY, NOT IN A SHY WAY
OH NO, OH NO NOT ME, I DID IT MY WAY.

FOR WHAT IS A MAN, WHAT HAS HE GOT,
IF NOT HIMSELF, THEN HE HAS NAUGHT
TO SAY THE THINGS HE TRULY FEELS
AND NOT THE WORD OF ONE WHO KNEELS
THE RECORD SHOWS, I TOOK THE BLOWS
AND DID IT MY WAY.
YES IT WAS..... MY WAY.

A RICH ARAB IN A BAR

Just a joke to bring you a little smile for a while.

A RICH ARAB IN A BAR

A rich Arab walks into a bar and is about to order a drink when he sees a guy close by wearing a Jewish cap, a prayer shawl and traditional locks of hair.

He doesn't have to be Einstein to know this guy is Jewish.

So he shouts over to the bartender so loudly that every can hear: 'drinks for every in here, bartender, but not for the Jew over there'.
Soon after the drinks have been handed out, the Jew gives him a big smile, waves at him, then says: 'Thank you', in an equally loud voice.

This infuriates the Arab.
He once again loudly orders drinks for every except the Jew.
As before, this does not seem to bother the Jewish guy. He continues to smile, and again yells: 'Thank you'.

The Arab asks the bartender: "What's the matter with that Jew? I've ordered rounds of drinks for every in the bar except him, and all he does is smile and thank me."

The bartender replies: 'He owns the place'.

Hoping the joke will please you, thank you for your read and views.
Sincerely,
Lisa.

Our beloved and unforgettable hubby and dad, it's year to date,
since you've left us when God had called you home, in his great heaven.
You've left us with regrets, shedding the last tears from your green eyes.
Too weak, you were unable to tell us "Goodbye", but just staring at us until...
You drew your last breath, then finally, your eyelids closed to never open again.

These moments are explicitly engraved in our memory and in our hearts. Just...
as your voice is distinctly recorded in our mind, which we'll never fail to recall.
If I could give you some of my strength and health, to survive some more time,
I would have voluntarily d so.... but Halas!!. God had wanted it otherwise.

Despite your regrettable demise, your words and your advice will never be forgotten,
Your wisdom, your quotes and your paragon, are for us, such great lessons.
All through your life with us, you've been an exemplary spouse and father.
You've d all your utmost best to give us such a decent and comfortable life.

Our fanciful and important needs, you had provided us without any complain.
Your respect, your care, your attention, your tolerance, your devotion and most of all "Your love",
were a bundle of treasures that made our life marvelous as you wanted it to be.
Your aim for our future, as you so desired and expressed it , will be achieved.

Emily and I, we'll follow and accomplish all your former requests to us.
Your best wishes for each of us, we've vowed to fulfill them accordingly.
Those special memories of you, will always bring a tender smile to us.
Your sweet and distinguish fragrances are still being smelt in your room.
Though you have humbly bowed to death to honor God and his supreme will.

If we could have you back just for a little while, we would feel so blissful.
But... where you are now, you feel no pain, no suffering, no anxiety, and no fear.
As you've g to heaven with God, who's keeping you in his mighty devine home.
You are surely watching over us and guiding us from above, with the same devotion.
Wherever we are or will be, we shall always remember you with love and admiration.

"G... ALWAYS LOVED... AND... NEVER FORGOTTEN".
REST IN PEACE OUR BELOVED AND CHERISHED HUBBY AND DAD.
MAY OUR LORD GOD, KEEP YOU WITH HIM FOREVER AND EVER.

" RECYCLING IDEAS THAT BRING BACK TO LIFE, DIY "

Recycling is the practice of reusing items that would otherwise be discarded as waste. Variations of recycling include Up-cycling, which involves adding value to an item for reuse and Down-cycling, which involves breaking down an item or substance into its component elements to reuse anything that can be salvaged. Pre-cycling, an alternative approach, involves avoiding the acquisition of unnecessary items that would have eventually have to be recycled or dealt with as waste.

Recycling is a key component of modern waste reduction and is the third component of the "Reduce, Reuse and Recycle" waste hierarchy.
Recyclable materials include many kinds of glass, paper, metal, plastic, rubber, textiles and electronics. The composting or other reuse of biodegradable waste—such as food or garden waste—is also considered recycling.

We can make something new out of discarded or junk items. Below are some ideas of recycling them into new beautiful reusable ones . Let's convert some trashed items for the sake of our environment.

The following photos give us ideas on how we can use:
1- Old damaged flower post;
2- old suitcases turned into wall shelves.
3- Plastic bottles into jets for the garden.
4- Old bathtub, left over pieces of pipes; wine bottles and old cups;
5- an old piano and damaged trampoline;
6- Old suitcase turned into a wall cupboard with a mirror and a cat
bed, a hanger holder of recipe in the kitchen and old spoons.
7- The use of old tires.
8- A crib turned into a table and tire planter as deco.
9- A bird feeder and a fairy flower pot for the garden.
10- An old piano into a garden fountain, an old boot as a bird nest.

I hope these recycling ideas have been of interest to you, to embellish further more, your homes and gardens.
Thank you for your read and views.
Lisa.
