MY WISH AND MY PLEA

"How sad, a heart that does not know what love is, that does not feel the greatness of love. If it doesn't have true love, how can it enjoy the blinding light of the sun, the beautiful colors of the rainbow and the soft light of the moon?"

" THE NEEDLE AND THE THREAD "

I had drafted this blog sometime ago but being away, it has been kept and today am posting it as a pleasure, as a norm and to be among my series of blogs. It's about Needle and Thread .

*Sewing was and is however by means of a needle and thread. Even in the modern time, needles and threads are in use. A needle must be threaded to enable any kind of sewing or embroidery. Evidently, needle and thread are meant to work together. Needles can be of different lengths and shapes, straight or curve, short and long. Depending basically on the nature of the work.

Sewing is: to join, to fasten, to stitch, to attach, to embroider and to repair, to mend, to patch, to reinforce and to strengthen a torn or weak point, therefore, needle and thread are jointly used. They are obviously similar to a couple. So, one should choose the type of needle and thread needed according to the the type of work. Thus, while sewing, one must make sure that the needle remains threaded.

Certainly, a Needle without Thread is abortive for sewing, ssa. They always proceed and progress together. Be it visible, known, hidden, disguised, fancy, noticeable or otherwise. Awareness of the main factors, is essential.

This cryptogram is a virtuous paradigm to ponder upon. It is my perception for a general understanding of the mean reality.
Thank you for your read and your views,
Sincerely,
Lisa.

" THE WOEFUL TALE OF FIONNA and NINO "

Hi everyone, I have been away for a while for some personal reasons,
now I am back with a new post, a true story, hoping it would be of some interest. Happy reading.

* In a sundry expanse, where numerous wild flowers, creepers, thorny plants, strange trees, all of different species, shapes and sizes, mingled together. Fionna was admiring the vicinity and the beautiful twilight . When unexpectedly, a man emerged in the soft glowing light from the sky. Unknown to each other, obviously distinct and discrete, they glanced at each other, pondering upon each other's presence there. Then gallantly, the man said: "Hello, glad meeting you here". In return, she timidly replied him and soon the talk began." I am Nino and you?", he uttered. " Fionna is my name", she humbly replied and they exchanged information, advice, ideas, details and became aware of each other by that trifling acquaintance.

Regardless the disparity between them, they easily expressed their trend of life and experience. Nino was impressed and amazed at the strength of her open mind but... his occasional quietude was noticeable. What was going on in his mind?. What was his concept? Was it a mirage, a daydream or an illusion?. However, steadily, trust and confidence entailed and led to self revelations. Fionna listened attentively to all his descriptive pathetic endurance and ... Sentimentally she felt deeply touched .The issue had engendered such an emotion and empathy, and proximity gently became a part of them. They sought each other daily and that friendship had gradually enhanced and developed into a strong feeling of affection, attachment, compassion and nurtured intimacy.

Eventually, Nino expressed his love, his fondness and his zeal to Fionna. She was bewildered, sympathetic, so sensitive and reciprocally her feelings became responsive. Love thrived, bloomed and overpowered that friendship. Being overwhelmed, Nino uttered that his love is "unconditional". His fondness and fascination subsequently led to an obsession. An obsession which had created an uncontrollable jealousy, which in turn instigated doubts, generated mistrust, initiated discussion, and created arguments and suspicious allegations. Although she assumed her occasional mistakes. Solemn promises she vowed and she did her best.

But still, her Nino's erroneous thoughts, allegations and recalls continued now and then. Was it because the trustful Fionna had confidently revealed her previous suitors and admirers to him before?. Obviously, he had grasped those as an issue of confrontation, of a challenge, which were always the reasons of their turmoil. The tumultuous relationship brought sorrow, pain, sadness and feelings to stay apart or split. But each time, forgiveness, tolerance and let-off, overcame or subjugated, as emotion and love succeeded in controlling the frustrations.

However, Fionna feared his persistence and anxious about it. She's been relatively melancholy. Though pledges were given many a time but yet overlooked and Nino's frequent temperament overcame everything and seemed to be unchangeable. Fionna had been pondering upon the following:
-- Would Nino ever change at all?, Would the situation ameliorate?.
-- Would he ever believe, trust and understand, Fionna's feelings?.
-- What about his unconditional love, its aspects and purposes?.
-- Can only words fulfill expectations?.

Fionna had been seeking answers and opinions an all these.
I have therefore narrated the tale accordingly.
Thank you for your read and your attention.
Kind regards.
Lisa.

" MY ALLEGORY "

Different kinds of flowers, in my garden, have grown.
Many happened hazardously, some are known,
Though astounding and awesome but some are unknown.
Their shapes, their colors, their scents are different.
They are dissimilar, distinctive, odd and divergent.

Some bend side-wise, some are upward and some in pairs.
Even so impressive, discrete, obvious and remarkably rare,
I was impelled by a single flurry, unalike and odd little flower.
This strange, unfamiliar, specific bloom has struck me ever.
"How did it come to be?" and among the others!!, I wonder.

But its singularity dissimulates its peculiarity and caprice,
Despite its differences, I love my chosen little fetish.
Its oddity, has a virtue which means so much to me.
Sometimes it wilts due to the heat but rises up again to be
My favorite bloom, my special kind of species incredibly.

And here, my feeble little bird comes and sings aloud,
Its seductive beautiful songs when cleared of its doubts.
When moody, it chirps and chirps with a depressive bout.
Its off and on whistles enchant when of me it feels proud.
The Nymphaea Nouchali and the Doel are my boast about.

Both species are just one for me, my ALLEGORY to be.

THE AMORPHOPHALLUS TITANUM or The TITAN ARUM

The biggest, amazing, incredible , astounding, mythical-like and extraordinary lone flower :

THE AMORPHOPHALLUS TITANUM ALSO KNOWN AS THE TITAN ARUM. Which is of the most wonderful and rare unique flower in the world.

The Titan Arum produces one of the largest flowering structures and one of the foulest odors in the plant kingdom. With its huge flowering structure rising up to three metres (10ft) above the ground, and its single immense leaf, it certainly is a giant among plants, as its name suggests. The plant flowers only rarely, and can be up to three metres in circumference as well.

It is originated from Sumatra in Indonesia, in the dense rain forests. It is really a beautiful unique flower but when it is ready for pollination, the spadix heats up and emits a nauseating smell. This stench is so bad that the Indonesians call the plant "the corpse" flower.

It is a flowering plant with the largest unbranched inflorescence in the world. Due to its odor, which is reminiscent of the smell of a decomposing mammal, the Titan Arum is characterized as a carrion flower, and is also known as the corpse flower, or corpse plant (Indonesian: bunga bangkai – bunga means flower, while bangkai can be translated as corpse, cadaver or carrion.
THE TITAN ARUM is endemic to western Sumatra, where it grows in openings in rainforests on limestone hills. Now, the plant is cultivated by botanic gardens and private collectors around the world.

It consists of a fragrant spadix of flowers wrapped by a spathe, which looks like a large petal. The spathe is a deep green on the outside and dark burgundy red on the inside, with a deeply furrowed texture. The "fragrance" of the titan arum resembles rotting meat, attracting carrion-eating beetles and flesh flies that pollinate it. The inflorescence's deep red color and texture contribute to the illusion that the spathe is a piece of meat. During bloom, the tip of the spadix is approximately human body temperature, which helps the perfume volatilize; this heat is also believed to assist in the illusion that attracts carcass-eating insects.

The Titan Arum was discovered in the wild only in the equatorial rain forests of Sumatra,Indonesia. It was first scientifically described in 1878 by Italian botanist Odoardo Beccari.
In cultivation, the Titan Arum generally requires 7–10 years of vegetative growth before blooming for the first time. After its initial blooming, there can be considerable variation in blooming frequency. Some plants may not bloom again for another 7–10 years while others may bloom every two to three years.
Below are some photos of the TITAN ARUM in bloom. Hoping the info will please you. Thank you for your views.
Sincerely,
Lisa.

"AN EYE FOR AN EYE JUSTICE"

A tragic story of a 26 yrs old Iranian woman, called Ameneh Bahrami.

A few years back, on an autumn day, that pretty woman, holder of an Electronic degree, working in a medical engineering company, was leaving her work in Teheran. She was confronted by a young man she had repeatedly refused to marry. The stubborn suitor couldn't accept her rejection. He looked at Ameneh's eyes and threw a jar of acid at her face which has left her disfigured and totally blind. Her attacker, a man five years her junior and a former university classmate, remained in the crowd that circled her as she screamed for help, observing her anguish and agony closely.

“I was beautiful, that was my crime,” Bahrami said. “I had chosen a field which needed so much work involving my eyes, but now I've lost everything.” she said. Bahrami knows too well what those women have gone through in similar cases. Her personal tragedy made headlines around the world.

One day the suitor's mother called her and said "My wants you,” Bahrami recalled. “I didn’t even know his name.” She rejected his offer for marriage, which infuriated him. “He called me and threatened me saying, ‘You’ll either marry me or I’ll wreck your life.” Bahrami reported the harassment to the police but they didn’t take it seriously.

After the attack, the judge presiding over the case intended to hand down a death sentence, but Bahramim during her anger, wanted qisas (retribution), which is allowed under Islam’s sharia law. Bahrami wanted him to lose his sight as well – "An eye for an eye". “Inflict the same life on him that he inflicted on me,” she told the court. Eventually, after much lobbying, Bahrami was granted an exceptional full retribution.

A Tehran court ordered her attacker to be blinded in both eyes. The sentence drew international condemnation, with human rights activists branding it inhumane. Iran’s Islamic penal code allows the victim or their heir – walli-ye-dam – to personally execute the condemned prisoner In Retribution cases. But as she was totally blind, she was unable to execute it herself, her younger Brother agreed to do it on her behalf.

The day of the execution, her assailant was drawn from his prison cell to a hospital, where under anesthesia, he would undergo such execution, he still uttered, "That he had no regret for his act". As officials were counting down for the execution, at the last minute, Ameneh had pardoned him. “I couldn’t do it, I knew I could not live with it until the end of my life,” she said. “I knew I would have suffered and burned twice had I done that.”

Her assailant was completely in shock, "He fell at my feet, I said go away and don’t ever utter my name in your whole life.” Her decision to pardon him, was warmly received in Iran and, within a few months, a sculpture of her was displayed in a Tehran exhibition.
The international community called on her to show mercy. Bahrami is now uncertain whether she made the right decision.

She has undergone more than a dozen operations in Spain to reconstruct her face but the fact left her totally blind. Despite all her torment, however, she is determined to move forward. She has published a book, "Eye for an Eye" , in several languages, including in English as well. "I have experienced things that not everyone can experience. Now, I think that there’s nothing in this world that can Frighten me. There’s a way forward and am thus living my life.”

That was the sad story of Ameneh Bahramy but it has eventually proved how her Forgiveness had overtaken her mean anger, and how she didn't want to live with such drastic retribution on her conscious and in her heart for the rest of her life.

I hope this story has pleased you. Thank you for your views and thoughts on such acts.
Sincerely,
Lisa.

I WAS TOLD THAT..........SHOULD I BELIEVE IT?

Many proclaim that most online relationships are not reliable, just virtual, unrealizable, pretentious. They opine that many are fake, impostors, bogus, and even pretenders.

Conceding that only a few are honest, genuine, trustful, reliable, serious, cool, decent, compatible and successful.
Without forgetting those who are purely for Friendship.

I was also told that:
For many, it is despondency. Such people try to find online friends due to their loneliness, their idleness or their despair. They want a buddy, to chat, to joke and to share their grief and pain. To feel company and amity only.
While others who are for indecency,
Want to spend their time for indecent fun, they aim at sexual talks and behaviors, to satisfy their craves or desires. They try to seduce and incite the partner(s) into an intimate relationship. They claim to be genius, lovable, serious, having a comfortable life, well settled, a legacy and everything, just to brag, to impress, to attract, to convince, to dupe and mislead the other(s). While all their so called personality and possessions are fake, unproven and unprovable. Their persuasions are such but just imitation, erroneous, unreal and illusory. Their unscrupulous manipulation are to be aware of.

But I really salute and congratulate those with their harmonious bond, their affinity, their proof of exactitude, being noble-minded towards their partner and their nice life together. Lucky are those who have successfully found their genuine ones online. Consider yourselves as very fortunate and providential. Keep your bond tight and preserve it always.

I would like to have your views and experience on this subject to enlighten us more. Your participation will be very much appreciated.
Thank you in anticipation.

FROM COCOA TO DELICIOUS CHOCOLATE.

Cocoa and its products (including chocolate) are used worldwide. The cocoa bean was a common currency throughout Mesoamerica before the Spanish conquest. The genus Theobroma (" food of the gods"),originated millions of years ago in South America, to the east of the Andes. It was the Maya who provided tangible evidence of cacao as a domesticated crop and was drunk by Maya traders as early as 400 BC. The first outsider to drink chocolate was Christopher Columbus, But it was Hernan Cortés, leader of an expedition in 1519 to the Aztec empire, who returned to Spain in 1528 bearing the Aztec recipe for xocoatl (chocolate drink) with him. As a generalization, fine or flavor cocoa beans are produced from Criollo or Trinitario. Cocoa-tree varieties, while bulk cocoa beans come from Forastero trees.

Chocolate was introduced to Europe by the Spaniards and became a popular beverage by the mid 17th century. They also introduced the cacao/cocoa tree into the West Indies and the Philippines. It was also introduced into the rest of Asia and into West Africa by Europeans.
The largest producing countries of cocoa are IVORY COAST, GHANA and INDONESIA.
But we must not forget how much labor and exploitation are involved in the growing, harvesting and processing of the cocoa production, specially in West Africa.

Chocolate
In a form of a paste or solid block made from roasted and ground cacao/cocoa seeds, typically sweetened and eaten as confectionery and as a delicious drink also. The cocoa beans are roasted, cracked and shelled in the factories. Resulting pieces of beans are called nibs. They are used in cooking, snacking, and chocolate dishes. Most nibs are ground, using various methods, into a thick creamy paste, known as chocolate liquor or cocoa paste. This "liquor" is then further processed into chocolate by mixing sugar and then refined, conched and tempered.

Alternatively, it can be separated into cocoa powder and cocoa butter. This process produces around 50% cocoa butter and 50% cocoa powder. Cocoa butter is used in chocolate bar manufacture, Enjoy The Delicious Chocolate and all its uses.
Below are some pictures to enchant your uses of the nice chocolate.

WHICH TYPE OF MILK IS YOUR PREFERENCE?

Today, my blog is on MILK. We all know what is milk, but it depends on which farm cattle is one's choice: cow, goats, sheep, buffalo or others. Each one has his own choice on the type of milk he likes to consume.

There are actually several kinds of milk, such as: Raw Milk, Pasteurized Milk; Full Cream Milk, Skimmed Milk, Powdered Milk and other dairy products made out of Milk.
Nowadays, the most common form of Milk, which is almost everywhere is the Pasteurized Milk. There are several ways of pasteurization:

1- Heating up milk to 145 degrees Fahrenheit for about 30 minutes which isn't very common.

2- More common method is to heat up the milk to at least 161 degrees for 15 minutes, this is known as HTST, the High-Temperature Short-Time, pasteurization or flash pasteurization.

3- The newer process is the Ultra- Pasteurization (UP) or Ultra-Heat Treatment (UHT), where milk is heated to 280 degrees Fahrenheit for a shorter amount of time. This process results in a Shelf Life that can extend up to nine months, allowing milk to be stored un-refrigerated because of longer lasting sterilization effect.

RAW MILK or Regular milk, is pure Milk to drink with all its constituents unaltered. Raw Milk contains vitamins, minerals, protein, calcium, amino acids and enzymes which are important to maintain good health.
As long as the milk is clean, of high standard, without additive, the cows or others are fed fresh green grass and the milk is cool and bottled, it is considered safe and effective.

But Pasteurized such as UP and UHT Milk kills the calcium and other important nutritious ingredients in the milk and may cause other inconveniences to some people. Additives are use also.
Pasteurization, HTST, UHT and UP and Additives should be mentioned on the labels with the expiry dates.

I hope we can all participate on this issue, in stating our ideas and experience on MILK issue.
Thank you in anticipation.

" THE MIRACLE BABY RESCUED FROM THE RUBBLE OF NEPAL"

This is the story of Sonies, the baby of 5 months old in Nepal who Was Miraculously Rescued from Rubble and Survived the Earthquake.

While walking back home from a store on Saturday, the earth began to shake, In a few minutes, Rasmila Awal, 35 yrs, saw the building she lived in collapse. Inside, under all the debris, were her -- Soniya, aged 10, and Sonies, only 5 months old baby.

"I started screaming and asking neighbors for help," she recalled. "I went numb, I didn't hear anything, didn't know if they were alive or not." said Awal. Her husband, Sham Krishna Awal, 34, a microbus driver, was working when the quake shook the region. But Soniya and Sonies were at the family home in Muldhoka, Bhaktapur, east of the capital, Kathmandu.

Sham Awal rushed home and scrabbled frantically through the rubble, searching for his . Neighbors came to help. But Rasmila Awal became despondent. "I had very little hope that they had survived," she said. "I didn't hear any sound at all." And then, a blessing: After two hours, Soniya, was found alive, having rushed out just as the quake began. But the baby was still missing. The father also began to lose hope of finding his alive -- until, from under the rubble, he heard faint cries. But night had fallen and there was little that could be done. "It's destiny," a neighbor told Rasmila Awal. "If he's destined to live, he will. Or else God will take him away."

The next morning, the Awals returned to the remnants of their home. And they heard the joyful sound they had prayed they would hear. Their baby was crying. "We came back and we heard the voice again," Rasmila Awal said. The soldiers, having returned as well, resumed digging. And, miracle of miracles, 22 hours after the earthquake, the mother saw a soldier pull her baby boy, Sonies, out of the debris. He was totally coated with dust, he has some bruises and a cut on his thigh but alive and was taken to the hospital for treatment and then returned to his mother's arms. His unlikely rescue has given hope to a nation that has experienced so much loss. "He just started smiling," Rasmila Awal said. It was a happy ending. Happy to be out of hospital and with his mum. This is five month old Sonies, also known as the miracle baby who was trapped in the rubble of his home for 22 hours.

The Awal family has no place to live now. Everything they had was destroyed. And Sham Awal's sister-in-law and her two , who lived nearby, all died in the earthquake. But then again, a little baby boy, Nepal's new face of hope, has his whole life still ahead of him.

Thanks for your views.
Lisa.
