MY WISH AND MY PLEA

"How sad, a heart that does not know what love is, that does not feel the greatness of love. If it doesn't have true love, how can it enjoy the blinding light of the sun, the beautiful colors of the rainbow and the soft light of the moon?"

THE FASCINATING WIELICZKA SALT MINE

The historic Salt Mine in Wieliczka is the only site in the world where mining has continued since the Middle Ages, for about 9 centuries. Done on nine levels, the subterranean reaches the depth of 327 meters and 287 kilometers long below the ground. It hold an astonishing secret, a breath-taking site. The fascinating complex is one of the oldest salt mines in the world , having been running since the 13th century and contains fantastic sculptures, sacred art, mythical figures, carved buildings, dozens of statues, three chapels, an entire cathedral and a museum, all carved out from rock salt by miners. Even the crystals of the chandeliers are made from rock salt that has been dissolved and reconstituted to achieve a clear, glass-like appearance. The site is remarkable but little known outside and referred to as: THE UNDERGROUND SALT CATHEDRAL OF POLAND.

One may feel like being in
The middle of a Jules Verne adventure while descending into the depths of the world.
After a one hundred and fifty meters down the wooden stairs to the Salt mine, the amazing site is seen. The most astounding in terms of its sheer size and Audacity is the Chapel of Saint Kinga.

To cap it all, there is even an underground lake, lit by subdued electricity and candles. This is perhaps where the old Legends of lakes to the underworld and Catholic imagery of the Saints work together to best leave a lasting impression of the Mine. How different a few minutes reflection here must have been to the noise and sweat of everyday working life in the mine.
Wieliczka salt mine has become increasingly a tourist attraction in the first place. Even Some couples choose to have their wedding there. Wieliczka Salt Mine near Krakow in Poland is a World-class attraction listed as the UNESCO World Heritage site.

Below are some some pictures of the underground WIELICZKA Salt Mine. There are lots more as well. Hoping they would please you, Happy viewing.

BODY TATTOOS AND THEIR ASPECTS.

BODY TATTOO is an art practiced in different countries. Tattooing involves the placement of pigment into the skin's dermis, the layer of dermal tissue underlying the epidermis. To be tattooed depends on one's choice, size, colors and patterns.

Some tribal cultures traditionally created tattoos by cutting designs into the skin and rubbing the resulting wound with ink, ashes or other agents; some cultures continue this practice, which may be an adjunct to scarification. But the most modern method of tattooing, is by electric tattoo machine, which inserts ink into the skin via a single needle or a group of needles that are soldered onto a bar, which is attached to an oscillating unit. The unit rapidly and repeatedly drives the needles in and out of the skin,This modern procedure is ordinarily sanitary.

HEALTH RISKS
Because it requires breaking the skin barrier, tattooing carries health risks including infection and allergic reactions. Modern tattooists reduce risks by following universal precautions working with single-use items and sterilizing their equipment after each use. As tattoo pigment lies encapsulated deep in the skin, tattoos are not easily destroyed even when the skin is burned.
While tattoos are considered permanent, it is sometimes possible to remove them, fully or partially, with laser treatments. The expense and pain associated with removing tattoos are typically greater than the expense and pain associated with applying them

The symbolism and impact of tattoos varies in different places and cultures. Today, people choose to be tattooed for artistic, cosmetic, sentimental/memorial, religious, and magical reasons, and to symbolize their belonging to or identification with particular groups either ethnic or law-abiding subculture.

Some Maori still choose to wear intricate moko on their faces. In Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand, the yantra tattoo is used for protection against evil and to increase luck. Moreover The Nazis, Chinese, Roman Empire also used tattoos for obvious reasons before. Tattooing was popular among certain ethnic groups in southern China, Polynesia, Africa, Borneo, Cambodia, Europe, Japan, the Mentawai Islands, MesoAmerica, New Zealand, North America and South America, the Philippines and other parts of world.

For many youngsters, the tattoo has taken on a decidedly different meaning than for previous generations. The tattoo has "undergone dramatic redefinition" and has shifted from a form of deviance to an acceptable form of expression.

Below are some pictures of the body tattoos done by Japanese artists on males' and females' bodies, which may terrify or even scare you at the first glance but some may see it enjoyable, depending on one's likeness.

Expecting your comments and opinions on them.
Thank you and happy viewing.

My first blog of 2015, is on a very amazing and peculiar Baobab tree.
Looking at its shape and size on the first pic, it appears eventually a very old huge baobab tree, the biggest size among others.

But ....... I would like you to have a close look at it as it has really some stunning abnormal things. Check out also the consecutive pictures on here, to see the details which I let you discover by yourselves for your own astonishment and to ponder how these have been done. I have received it in a mail from my relatives abroad and I wanted to share it with you. I would be glad to have your comments on it.
Thank you in anticipation.

MY REVERIE

IF I WAS .......

If I was The Sun, I would lighten up your darkness,
The Moon, I would shine alight your life best.
The Stars, I would glitter only for your eyes.
The Earth, I would bestow everywhere you pass by.

If I was The Universe, I would make you the master of all.
The Ocean, I would let you be my waves.
The Wind, I would blow softly wherever you are.
The Rain, I would fill your wells with love.

If I was The Snow, I would cool your soul and mind.
The Water, I would always quench your thirst
A Tree, I would give you my shadow, make you my fruit
A Flower, I would always perfume and beautify you.

If I was A Bird, I would chirp for you nice melodies.
A Honey Bee, I would sweeten you as goodies
An Angel, I would guide you through, spiritually
God, I would bless you and all of yours eternally.

BUT
I'm none of those above, I am just a universal emotion, a heartfelt feeling, which is called "LOVE". A Universal Love for all humanity, A Universal Love indiscriminately.

**************************
Thus:
If hatred is replaced by Love, War by Peace, Insults by Compliments, Quarrel by Mediation ,Dispute by Agreement, Aggression by Tolerance , Indifference by Care and Attention, Hypocrisy by Frankness, Lies by Truth, Tears by Smile or Laugh. Life would be so different, it would be so wonderful. If we put in some love, it would ease our daily trend, making our day joyful, smooth our hardship.

If we give a little smile, say Hi or hello, thank you, a cheer, a little of our best, just some courtesy, it will make others happy.
If we let pass the past and look forward in a good direction with positiveness, it would make the future brighter for everyone, to enjoy our transit on this world of ours.

Living in peace, in love and Harmony is essential in our daily life.
Love and Peace are Universal and free to share with our alike. Let's make them our determination for this coming year.
God bless all of you.

Lisa.

you, and love the people with whom fate brings
you together, but do so with all your heart".

MY WISHES FOR THE NEW YEAR 2015

A New year is systematically days, months and time which continue on proceeding the others. 1st January is the time at which a new calendar year begins and the calendar's year count is incremented according to Gregorian calendar, which today is a worldwide use. The 1st January is the universal or standard start of the civil year. And in most countries, it is a public holiday. Except for some religions, their new year starts at different dates.
I guess each of us may have a certain resolution for the New Year which is drawing near. Hereby are my personal wishes for each of us and for the world at large:

~~ I wish all of you, "A Very Happy and Prosperous New Year".
May this coming year be blessed with good/better health for each
of us. Those suffering from any illness, I wish them well,
courage, patience, faith and hope.

~~ For those who are alone, feeling abandoned or rejected, I say
"Lift up your spirit , keep your strength and your hope, someone
will surely be on your way", I wish you good company good
of friends and of kind persons

~~ Those searching for a soul mate, a partner, a lifetime
companion, a lover or so, I wish them Good luck, may you find
the ideal and genuine person.

~~ For those who have problems. Certainly you are not the only
ones. "Get going, move forward and have faith", The Lord God
will help you and ease your worries.

~~ Those who are hungry, who are poor, may we share with them
even a little from what we fortunately have, God's blessings will
be upon for even how the little we can share.

~~ For those who have lost their dear ones, let us comfort them,
sympathize with them and give them some hope and
encouragement, as each of us had experienced it or will face
this sort of sorrow one day or the other.

~~ And for those who are hating others, bloodily fighting, killing
mercilessly, senselessly, I wish them to stop these
these atrocities, as God will not spare them eventually.

*****************************
Encourage ourselves, believe in ourselves and persuade ourselves to do our best. Never doubt who we are or who they are but give out our best for the happiness of the others, relatively ours will be greater. For whatever we do, God will never overlook it.

LET'S START THIS NEW YEAR IN PEACE, WITH LOVE AND FORGIVENESS, WITH FAITH AND HOPE, WITH PERSEVERANCE AND DETERMINATION. LET'S MAKE IT A GREAT YEAR.
THANK YOU.
LISA.

KING TUTANKHAMUN, THE BOY-PHAROAH OF EGYPT.

KING TUTANKHAMUN has fascinated the world ever since his ancient tomb in the Valley of the Kings was unearthed by British archaeologist Dr Howard Carter in 1922.

Stunning funerary treasure was found in his valuable tomb, including a stunned 24.2 lb solid gold death mask encrusted with semi-precious stones, a golden coffin in his sarcophagus and other priceless golden personal belongings, other artifacts including bracelets, rings and collars, his golden throne, several golden diadems, daggers and shields, his golden sandals and so many other personal items. TUTANKHAMUN: The Gold King and the Great Pharaoh.

A DNA study revealed that the 19-year-old died from complications from a broken leg that was exacerbated by malaria.
It also found the famous king suffered from a cleft palate and club foot and was a 'frail king who needed canes to walk.
Tut, who became pharaoh at the age of 10 in 1333 B.C, ruled for just nine years until his death. He was the last of the royal line from the eighteenth dynasty of the New Kingdom, one of the most powerful royal houses of ancient Egypt.

After his father died, King Tut became the youngest successor to reign at the age of what is believed to be 8 or 9 years old. During his somewhat unremarkable time as pharaoh, King Tut restored religious beliefs back to worshiping the god, Amun. He also worked to strengthen relationships with other kingdoms, and he relocated the capital to back to its original location at Thebes.

King Tut, lived in Amarna, Egypt, Where he rules as the youngest Pharaoh in the 18th Dynaty, known as the Boy-Pharaoh, His enduring notoriety came from his reign and the discovery of his valuable tomb was stunningly a surprise as for his stunned Golden mask and golden coffin in his sarcophagus.

The most fascinating item found was the stone sarcophagus containing three coffins, one inside the other, with a final coffin made of gold. When the lid of the third coffin was raised, King Tut's royal mummy was revealed, preserved for more than 3,000 years. As archaeologists examined the mummy, they found other artifacts, including bracelets, rings and collars and lots of golden items.. Over the next 17 years, Carter and his associates carefully excavated the four-room tomb, uncovering an incredible collection of thousands of priceless objects. His body was preserved in the traditional means of mummification. His tomb went unnoticed by grave robbers and political enemies who destroyed the resting places of more notable pharaohs. He is the most famous king of Egypt.

I have uploaded some photos relating to King Tut, I have lots more of his golden artifacts which are so fascinating to look at.
Thanks for your time, happy reading and hope this blog of mine and the photos have pleased you also.
Thank you.
Lisa.
