MY WISH AND MY PLEA

"How sad, a heart that does not know what love is, that does not feel the greatness of love. If it doesn't have true love, how can it enjoy the blinding light of the sun, the beautiful colors of the rainbow and the soft light of the moon?"

"UNDER THE SAME SKY"

Reflection of a mindfulness of circumstances.

The wide blue yonder.
The above outer space, a vast expanse seen above the earth, is called and known as the Sky. It's an azure of an infinite dome where planets and stars twinkle for the pleasure of our eyes. A firmament in the midst of the waters, which also divides waters from waters, a celestial realm. The apparent dome-shaped expanse extending upwards from the horizon, that is characteristically blue or grey and can turn a multitude of colors, especially at sunset or sunrise, when the light passes through a much longer path in the atmosphere.

Is there another Sky? certainly NOT, it's the same Sky, the celestial sphere above the world over, but... our locations differ. WE ARE ALL BORN, LIVE AND DIE UNDER THE SAME SKY wherever we may be. We sometimes leave our geographic location to another, due to circumstances, choice, concepts, beliefs, deception and/or by trials and errors. There are reasons for everything and every event happens for a reason. Be it good or bad, thoughtful or crazy, right or wrong, successful or deceptive, prudent or adventurous. It all depends on one's state of mind, as a consequence of occurrences, of circumstantial feelings and views or of perception.. At times, one has no choice other than acting accordingly.

" Under the same Sky, we open and close our eyes, many a thing we survive,
Lots of thoughts cross the mind, doing them right or wrong, so is life.
Under the same Sky, blue or grey or dark at times, reflecting one's mood and feelings,
Happy or sad, cheerful or gloomy, frivolous or serious, is the state of our being.

Leaving somewhere to elsewhere, has always a reason or another,
Be it good or bad, fair or dareful, easy, reticent, enthusiastic or whatever,
Uncertainty and a pinch at heart are always felt, undeniably in our inner.
Thoughts vary, decisions be hard to utter, be it for the better or just a failure.
One knows not if it'll be a disaster, a misadventure or a success in the future..

Souvenirs kept or left behind, are reminders, remembrance as life goes-by.
But Here or There or... Anywhere, we shall always and certainly be,
" Under The Same Sky".

A Context entirely from my own rumination. Just to remind ourselves of a phase in life. Thanks for your read and views.

"LET'S BE PROUD OF OUR SCARS"

When something is broken, it's put back together with the cracks being filled with gold, creating a beautiful lining.
This is to emphasize the beauty in what was once broken.
It's believed when it has suffered damage and had a story,
it makes it more beautiful and same goes for everything and for human beings.

Everything that each of us had gone through, doesn't make our life uglier,
although it may seem that way when we're going through it.
We mustn't give way to negativity, but embrace the positivity.
It's up to us to choose, to paint with gold or struggle and make it beautiful.
We are not broken beyond repair, we can pick ourselves up and learn from what's happened and make it better and a better person from it, because of the struggle we have been through. Let all troubles and things we've been through, be behind, be examples and be lessons for us.

Let us wear our scars proudly as a badge of struggle, as if to say...
"Look what we've been through, it's made us better and who we are today, now we can get through anything life puts in front of us henceforth".

Nobody has had a perfect life and Nobody will ever do. It's only up to us if we choose to paint the broken pieces with gold and make it beautiful. Don't be ashamed of what happened to all of us, everything that happened to us, has happened for a reason. We should admit it.
A reason beyond our understanding, a reason for what and how it's been. An unexplainable reason which is "A reason for... another reason".
So, the more we deny, the more we complain and don't accept what has happened, then it doesn't become useful or worthy. But...the moment that we accept and find what's useful in the struggle, that's like the broken cracks being painted with gold. Turning something that could be ugly into something beautiful and inspiring, it's all worth it. Then, don't get stuck on how things went on or had been. Don't always swirl around them. Let them be gone.

I've learned a quote that said:
"Every next level of our life, will demand a new us. And sometimes it takes being broken in order to become that new version of ourselves".
So, going through hard times in life, in whatever it is, let this quote be helpful, worth of attention, significant and understandable to each of us and to someone that we love.

I wish my above explanatory text would be an inspirational motivation for you and for those who need it. Thanks for your read and views.
Kind regards.
Lisa.

LUCUMA, SO MUCH FROM THE INCAS........

Beloved by the Incas, lucuma is a super nutritious Peruvian fruit that contains beta carotene, iron, zinc, vitamin B3, calcium, and protein. Its maple-like taste makes it a sweet addition to smoothies, baked goods, and even ice cream. Viewed as a symbol of fertility and creation, lucuma was called the “Gold of the Incas” and was used for a variety of applications. Recent research shows that lucuma is helpful for supporting skin health, blood sugar, cardiovascular health and diabetes. Native to Peru, Chile, Ecuador, Bolivia and Costa Rica.

Lucuma in its whole form looks similar to an avocado, with a green exterior covering the sweet, soft fruit. The flesh is yellow and has a texture that is slightly reminiscent to that of a boiled egg yolk. Many people say the taste of lucuma reminds them of a cross between caramel and a sweet potato. While it does contain a mellow sweetness, it’s low on the glycemic scale and typically suitable for diabetics.

Often, lucuma is sold in a powdered form, perfect for adding to smoothies or baking recipes. Its soft taste and gentle aroma enhances most foods without directly influencing or impairing the overall taste of the recipe. Lucuma is grown sustainably in this region without the use of pesticides and is intercropped with other plants to provide a wider benefit for farmers.

Health Benefits
In ancient records, lucuma fruit was said to be used to support skin health and digestion. Recent studies have shown that lucuma oil may be helpful for supporting wound healing by encouraging the activation of healing factors within the skin.

Lucuma was also used throughout the centuries to support cardiovascular health, and research seems to agree. Studies show that lucuma has potent ACE inhibitory activities in vitro, possibly decreasing the effects associated with hypertension. Lucuma may also support normal blood sugar, giving researchers hope for finding additional nutritional support for those with type II diabetes. These results point to the excellent potential of Peruvian fruits as food-based strategies for blood sugar and blood pressure issues.

One Final Thought
Lucuma powder can be added to your morning smoothies or juices and can also be added to your dessert recipes as a natural sweetener. Many natural herbal supplements contain lucuma combined with other important herbs. Lucuma has been introduced to many other countries of the world, providing there is enough sun, rain or humidity. Mostly in tropical countries and we do have it in my country.
Thank you so much for your read, I hope these info would help you know more about Lucuma fruits.
Wishing you all my best,
Lisa,

"BOUGAINVILLEA OF DIF COLORED FLOWERS"
Posted:Jul 13, 2017 12:06 pm

8696 Views
BOUGAINVILLEA plants are originally native of South America from Brazil west to Ecuador and south to southern Argentina, but in later years, spread to many other parts of the world. These genus plants are evergreen where rainfall occurs all year and deciduous if there is a dry season.

In brief, during his voyage of circumnavigation of the Earth, Admiral Louis de Bougainville, a French navigator and explorer, discovered this lovely plant in 1768, in South America, the bougainvillea's native region. Ornamental and woody vines of Bougainvillea are hardy in the warmer climates, They naturally climbs, making it well suited for growing near walls or on a trellis. They can also be trained to grow as a hedge or shrubby potted plant.

Bougainvillea Facts
The colorful blooms of bougainvillea aren't flowers at all. Rather, they are the plant's bracts, a type of modified leaf that's typically small and located just below a plant's flower. Bougainvillea flowers are the tiny, creamy-white structures located in the middle of the bract. Each cluster of three flowers is surrounded by three or six bracts with the bright colours associated with the plant, including pink, magenta, purple, red, orange, white, or yellow.
Bougainvillea glabra is sometimes referred to as "paper flower" because the bracts are thin and papery. These tropical and subtropical evergreens grow sturdy, woody, thorny vines that typically require support from a nearby wall or trellis.

Bougainvillea bloom in a rainbow of colors,
Ranging from brilliant white to deep magenta. Bougainvillea "Barbara Karst adds vibrant fuchsia to the garden, while Cherry Blossom Bougainvillea blooms with delicate light pink and rose-colored bracts. Both are hardy too. Attractive foliage adorns some cultivars, including Delta Dawn (Bougainvillea "Delta Dawn"), hardy everywhere as well. In addition to its variegated green and white foliage, this drought-tolerant cultivar also has sunny gold-colored blooms. Similarly, the bright purple bracts that bloom on Golden Jackpot (Bougainvillea "MonSam"), hardy, contrast vividly with its bright green-yellow and green leaves.

Growing Tips
Gardeners can easily propagate bougainvillea from 4- to 6-inch cuttings potted in soilless potting mix. Although the plants can grow and become full and leafy in shady spots, planting bougainvillea in a spot that receives more than five hours of full sunlight per day yields the nicest blooms. Maintain even moisture, allowing the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Bougainvillea generally grows in nearly any type of soil, as long as it's well-drained. With a balanced slow-release fertilizer, in spring and fall for the plant's first three growing seasons, followed by one annual application thereafter to avoid over fertilizing the plants which results in many leaves and few blooms.

Pruning and Pest Management
Bougainvillea resists most pests and diseases, although gardeners should keep an eye out for any spots on the leaves, which may indicate a fungal or bacterial disease. Aphids, tiny pests with long antennae and pear-shaped torsos, occasionally attack bougainvillea's foliage. A strong spray of water or application of pesticide can treat the problem. Prune the plant after it finishes blooming to avoid inadvertently diminishing its blooms, which occur on the plant's new growth. Remove any dead or damaged limbs in spring or anytime during the growing season.

Training:
Bougainvilleas don’t cling or attach themselves so you need to train them. As I noted above in “planting”, angle them towards whatever they’ll be growing on. They’re not hard to train but it does take a little effort. Without support, they just flop down & can become a sprawling low blob. On a wall – If you have a chain link fence, after a little initial guidance, it will attach itself. Otherwise, you’ll need to provide some guidance in the form of eye hooks & wire or something like that. On a trellis or arbor – Attach it with tie & train & prune it as it grows. The new growth is easy to bend. Hedge – just keep on pinching & pruning out all that soft growth. Not as much flowering though. As a tree gradually started taking out the other stems to get it to 1 main truck. I did this with my Bougainvillea Barbara Karst.

Uses In The Landscape:
Bougainvilleas are very tough & very versatile. Use them as a vine, ground cover, hedge or tree. On arbors, trellis’, fences, buildings & walls or in containers & hanging baskets. You can add topiary or bonsai, if pruned into the shapes of a large basket & swan, using good garden scissors clipped at it’s finest into ornamental shapes. they scream “look at me!” when in full bloom. . Bougainvilleas are not difficult to grow but lovely to admire when well trained.

I hope these info will help you grow Bougainvilleas of any color and in any shape you like. I have posted below some photos of several plain and mixed colors of Bougainvilleas. I have a few of them in my garden: the White, red, yellow, the fuchsia, and also mixed colors which I had grafted myself. Thank you for your read and views.
Sincerely,
Lisa,

" A FEELING, HARD TO DEAL WITH....."

Today, I feel an eagerness to express a sentiment, an emotion, call it a nostalgia, a stress, an apprehension or something blurred that causes a melancholia in my mind and it reminds me of an unfeigned song and its lyrics passing each time through my mind. A song which I've always listened with deep emotional feelings. You may know and have heard this song before. It is sung by Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli , it is called: " TIME TO SAY GOODBYE ". I'll post firstly the english version of Sarah Brightman and consecutively, the one by both Bocelli and S. Brightman, in Italian, called: " CON TE PARTIRO ", with its english translation. It's a very heartfelt song, lyrics and soft, cool melody, which I am unable to post here, as it is not accepted by the site. It would be wonderful to watch it. But, you'll find them on U...Tub......Just copy and paste the tilles.

The lyrics By Sarah Brightman in english:
TIME TO SAY GOODBYE,
When alone, I sit and I dream and whenever I dream, the words are missing.
Yes, I know that in a room so full of light, that all the light is missing.
But I don't see you with me, with me closing up the windows,
Bring the sun to my room, through the doors you've opened.
Close inside of me the light you see, that you met in the darkness.

~~Time to say goodbye, Horizons are never far.
Would I have to find them alone without true light of my own with you.
I will go on ships over seas that I now know.
No, they don't exist any more, it's time to say Goodbye.

When you were so far away, I sit alone and ream of the horizon,
then I know that you are here with me, with me.
Building bridges over land and sea,
Shine a blinding light for you and me, to see for us to be.

~ Time to say Goodbye, horizons are never far ,
would I have to find them alone, Without true light of my own with you.
I will go on ships over seas that I now know.
No, they don't exist any more, it's time to say Goodbye.
So, I will go on ships over seas that I now know.
No, they don't exist any more, it's time to say Goodbye.
So with you I will go... I will goooooooooooo.
**********************************
Italian version By Sarah and Andrea,
TIME TO SAY GOODBYE.
[Sarah:]
Quando sono sola
sogno all'orizzonte
e mancan le parole,
si lo so che non c'è luce
in una stanza quando manca il sole,
se non ci sei tu con me, con me.
Su le finestre
mostra a tutti il mio cuore
che hai accesso,
chiudi dentro me
la luce che
hai incontrato per strada.

Time to say goodbye.
Paesi che non ho mai
veduto e vissuto con te,
adesso si li vivrò.
Con te partirò
su navi per mari
che, io lo so,
no, no, non esistono più,
it's time to say goodbye.

[Andrea:]
Quando sei lontana
sogno all'orizzonte
e mancan le parole,
e io si lo so
che sei con me con me,
tu mia luna tu sei qui con me,
mio sole tu sei qui, con me,
con me, con me, con me.

Time to say goodbye.
Paesi che non ho mai
veduto e vissuto con te,
adesso sì li vivrò.
Con te partirò
su navi per mari
che, io lo so,
no, no, non esistono più,

[Both:]
con te io li rivivrò.
Con te partirò
su navi per mari
che, io lo so,
no, no, non esistono più,
con te io li rivivrò.
Con te partirò.
Io con te.

In brief, ANDREA's mother refused to abort him on Drs advice, as he was detected to be a handicap foetus. Soon after his birth in 1958, Andrea Bocelli, of Italian origin, was diagnosed with congenital glaucoma, which made him partially blind. He then lost his vision completely at the age 12. It's his fate we may say but God or Nature, have compensated him with a golden voice as his asset, which made him so famous singer/ Tenor all over the world.

I do like very much his above song as it means and expresses so much for me. I hope you may like it too, if watch the whole show as I've mentioned above. Thanks for your read and views. Kind regards.
Lisa.

"FIRST BLOG PAGE VISIBLE BUT.... FOLLOWED BY BLANK PAGES."

Have you noticed all the BLANK PAGES after your first blog page? This is how all of mine are and I've noticed it since I've resumed blogging. I had more than 23 pages before, full of my blogs but now it's only on my first page that some of my blogs are shown. I thought I did a mistake somewhere but when I've checked a few of other bloggers pages, they seem to be the same.
Does anyone have a clue on why those pages have turned blank? Am worried about all my previous blogs which have disappeared.

I haven't saved any of them neither deleted any. I've tried to check on my "TITLE VIEW", On that page, all the titles of my previous blogs are shown BUT only on page 1, THE FIRST PAGE ONLY. The other pages, 2 and 3 etc ARE ALSO BLANK. You may try to check yours to confirm it, as well.
Could it be a problem with the site? Or is it the site's decision to make it so?
I wonder.

Please if you know any reason concerning this issue, kindly to let me know.
Thank you in anticipation.
Lisa.

A WOEFUL, NOSTALGIC AND EVOCATIVE DATE FOR US.....

The 10th of June, We woke up with sorrowful feelings, which we've hardly tried to keep within us. But eventually we couldn't. Our thoughts were beyond our strength , as this date is so woeful for both of us. An air of melancholy surrounded us. Though each of us tried to conceal it. No word was spoken for a while as our mind was loaded with retrospection. But..... the quietude was forcefully broken by our teary eyes. Looking at each other, we just burst into tears. To comfort each other, we tried to find reasons and conclude. We then cling to our faith though our emotional feelings were deeply hurting us.

Oh yes, yes so quick, a period of time between the same dates successively passed, exactly a month to that date. For us.... as if it was just yesterday. The wound is still opened and every thought stirs in it and makes it bleed again!!.
Time will heal but the memory lingers on and so life goes on. To appease our grief, we bought beautiful bouquets of flowers and went to visit the last and final resting place of our beloved hubby and dad. We felt a bit relief while laying his favorite flowers on it and Talking to him in an absolute silence, with our devoted love and respect, we felt somewhat contended and our aim was fulfilled.

We deeply miss you Our Beloved Hubby and Dad and we shall forever do.
May our almighty God keep you with him in his heavenly home.
"Gone but will never be forgotten".

Thank you for reading me once more here, I wanted to share with you our eventual day of 10th June.
Lisa and Emily.

A 'S STARTLING DREAM and ... HENCEFORTH

A preordained path, an ultimate power that predetermines the course of irresistible events that inevitably happened and irresistible to that particular person.

Long ago, there was a simple, naive , a really innocent girl who had a dream, a dream denoting to a certain extent, her future life. Was it just a chimera, an illusion or a figment of her imagination?. Well, as most of , she took it just as a fantasy, as she had already a suitor. That night, she dreamed of an incognito and unseen person to her before. Someone appearing as her charming man, romancing her, as in a fairy tale. Surprisingly, she got thrilled and felt so happy, as if she was in another world, a world where she was experiencing another aspect of life. That dream was different from her usual ones but that ONE had happened only that NIGHT. Awaken the next morning, she remembered her dream but thought it was just a delusion. She didn't believe it and went about her daily life. As the years unfolded, she became a young stunning attractive lady, with a promising career. Then one day while being abroad, unexpectedly in a party and merely by coincidence, a smart, perceptive and personable man spotted her, and became keenly interested in her, she became his unique perception.

He invited her for a dance and courteously addressed her. But being very shy and reticent, she hesitantly accepted his courtship and reluctantly replied him positively and they parted anxiously without any hope of meeting each other again. However, as destiny had it and planed its course, a year later in another country, they both met surprisingly again. That given time, her smart admirer avoided losing her once more, he expressed his keen desire to marrying her the soonest possible. She pondered over his demand and THEN she remembered her ONCE dream and conceded the ongoing event. A dream which she thought to be a chimera, had eventually come true and real. He was deeply in love with her and she fell for him. His determination and keenness had demonstrated the true evidence of her startling dream. He willingly abode by the customary lawful marriage, all was set up and in a lapse of time they happily got married, in the presence of the parents, relatives and friends. They have lived an outstanding life constantly, and from that blessed union, was born a loving . They've been good caring parents and raised their offspring with principles, loving touch and good guidance.

Significantly, that 's dream , turned up to be a prediction of her future. It was a vision which had really happened to her subsequently. She's a kind who seemingly dreams of some events beforehand. But she usually kept them covert until they become factual. IF IT WASN'T THE DESTINY, WHAT WAS IT THEN !!??
I've pondered upon that fact and wanted to share with you this amazing story and incredibly true. Hoping it would please you.
Happy reading and thank you.
Sincerely,
Lisa.

" AN EULOGISTIC POEM FOR MY LATE HUSBAND".

My beloved husband has peacefully passed away on the 10th of May.
I have decided to post hereby my poetic eulogy in memory of the wonderful
life we have had since we got and remained married 45 yrs ago, until his demise.
*****************************************

MY BELOVED HUBBY,
Sitting alone in the gloominess of despair. I cry my silent tears,
My mind floats in nothingness. The silence is deafening to my ears.
The darkness frightens me,The loneliness surrounds me,
It takes my breath away,This is the pattern of my life,
Since God has called you home to be with him.
He took you away from me and......

Nevermore
will I see your smiling face
and feel your warm embrace.
will I wish upon the starry skies,
will I gaze in your loving eyes.

Not evermore
will I feel your lips on mine,
will my eyes sparkle and shine.
will I hear your tender voice,
your sweet words to rejoice ,
Since God's decided to take you Home.

WE HAVE ENJOYED:
Forty Five years together, Forty Five years of happiness,
Living in harmony, in love and always in tenderness
In spite of your notable status, you chose the humbleness
Your will in attentiveness demonstrated your greatness,
You've inculcated in us your devotion and faithfulness
No word can define you tendency to so much gentleness
And no expression can describe our profound sadness
As well as our greatest lost and our mournful loneliness,

My darling hubby,
The day you left, no words could you speak.
Hoping you heard me though you were too weak
I held you in my arms and the words were mine.
The sight of your last breath is tuck in my mind

My Sweetheart,
You've left behind a widow, your widow that am proud of being,
Of a wonderful, faithful and loving husband that you have been
Our life together was exemplary, a model to the youngsters,
Our beautiful was always the apple of our eyes
Whom we've grown, cared for, by our keen parental ties

BELOVED HUBBY and DAD,
Thank you for your endless love that helps us through each day
Thank you for the sweet memories that will never fade away
The hubby and dad, we cherish, being your and wife
Everyday in every way, we remember your words and your decent life
It's sad to think how things have been before
When you were here with us but you are no more.

GOD'S CALL
.When God called, and you went away
.
Out of this world to a brighter day.
You moved away to His splendid home,
Since the day, you have peacefully gone

Though Heaven and Earth divide us,
One day God will surely reunite us

GOODBYE HUBBY and DAD,
Rest assured, darling, our hearts are yours.
None can replace you, beloved ours.
Deeply safe in our hearts you will always stay
Until we meet forevermore, on the last day
Goodbye and Adieu, Our beloved hubby and dad,
May you rest in eternal peace.

With our love forever,
from your widow and your .
Elizabeth and Emily.
