MY WISH AND MY PLEA

"How sad, a heart that does not know what love is, that does not feel the greatness of love. If it doesn't have true love, how can it enjoy the blinding light of the sun, the beautiful colors of the rainbow and the soft light of the moon?"

WALKING DOWN THE MEMORY LANE.

Memories in principle are some of the most important moments in our lives bottled up and served to our minds on occasion. Relatively, we should take time each day to make ourselves better in one way or another. Drawing from your past experiences and memories, in an effort to make the future better as much as possible. It's hard to forget who gave you so much to remember. "Memories are small diaries that we will keep in our mind always".
Below is just a self written poem I have posted for you on my "Memories". Hoping it may please you.
Thanks for reading it.

My mystic memories

In the midst of my allusion
My mind plunged in consternation
Wandering into the past,
Pondering on what would last.

My thoughts keep going astray
Recalling, dwelling in every way
In my memories, everything passes-by
With a bit of cry, a bit of joy, a bit of why.

Missing not any moment neither any event
Whether joyful, sad or irrelevant.
Each has its own cause or its own reason
At times even beyond any imagination.

Ignoring the providence of the future
Trusting it to be as a green pasture
When suddenly, the sky turned dark
Slashing away every slightest spark.

Bewildering into the unknown
Most hopes were nearly gone
Only a gleam remained to cling to
Uniquely, what was left to do.

Then a sudden ray made its way through,
Lightening up again the rough path too
The evident wonder of the unseen
Has always his righteous mean.

Memories will ever engrave all
Of one's life for later recall.
Memories are and will ever be
The store of facts eventually.

Memories are just a reflector,
An echo of one's fateful fore-go
Memories will never ever erase
Any part of one's life phase.

Memories will remain memories
A remembrance of one self stories

MY FAITHFUL DOGS

It's my great pleasure today, to share with you my recent sad experience with one of my faithful sincere companions, "My 2 Lovely Dogs". Their names are: Prince and Duke, 2 GSD males of 9 yrs old now. They are both such cuties, very faithful, devoted, sensible, obedient and moreover my really excellent guard dogs.

I bought them in their puppy-hood. Prince was a gift to my , when she had passed her last Primary school exams, a National one, with an outstanding result of 5 A+, over 95%, which is required/obligatory to be admitted in the top 5 Star girls Secondary School here, called "The Queen Elizabeth Secondary School". While Duke was also bought for me, so that Prince wouldn't feel lonely.

They have a big room, built specially for them, with a wide free front fenced space for a panoramic view, in the garden of my house. Unfortunately due to bad weather 2 weeks ago, with heavy rain and strong cold wind, instead of keeping indoor, Prince always likes to play in such weather and it seems that night he had done so, while we were asleep. Therefore he has been seriously sick a couple of days ago. I brought him to the back porch of my house, to keep him warm and easy to watch and to nurse him as well, giving him some medicines as first aid but yet his state of health didn't improve.
Prince was on the verge of dying, he couldn't breathe, neither eat and drink nor sleep too and it was impossible to get a vet by that late evening.

I was in such a deep sadness, so worried about him, to the extend of spending most of that night awake with him, watching him, I couldn't prevent my tears, I talked to him, caressed him and begged him to keep alive till dawn. He noticed my tears dropping on my hands,he then bent and lapped them off, in a way to tell me, don't cry. He looked at me sadly and I could see two drops running down his face too. It was very touchy as well. I wasn't really sure he would pass that night alive and I started to pray for him, to be able to stay alive till the next morning, so that I take him to the Vet.

I felt so tired by my 5 am and was obliged to take some rest in my bedroom and I fell asleep. Awaken 2 hours later, I was really afraid to go down to him, I doubted if he would still be alive. Sitting on my bed, I wondered what I would see in the porch, a dead body or Prince still alive!!, I was reluctant to go really but then I took my courage and went down, I was so happy to see Prince lifting his head looking at me, though still very weak and in pain.

I immediately called a Specialized private Vet who is quite far from my residing town and explained the case of Prince to him, begging him to save his life at any cost. The Vet had noticed my great sadness and asked me to bring Prince along immediately. Instantly, I've covered the back seat of my car, placed the on it and drove to the town which is four towns away from mine. Prince seemed to be half dead!!. In the heavy traffic, I did my best to reach as quick as I could and the Vet allowed my to be in quickly and examined thoroughly. He made some tests and diagnosed the sickness of Prince. He then told me that Prince has got an acute Bronchitis and an inflammation in his lungs and fever as well. And that Prince was really in a very serious condition.

The Vet, then gave him 6 injections: one in his neck, one intravenous and two intramuscular at each back leg. He had to dilate the bronchus so that Prince can be able to breathe better, to also bring down the fever, antibiotic injection for the infection and also to give him some strength. Other tabs to stimulate his appetite to eat and drink as he was very weak. He then asked me to wait for a while as he wanted to see the reaction of the injections on Prince. Then after a while, he gave me a prescription other tablets to be given Prince daily for a week time. He asked me to phone him back the next day to inform him about the situation.

I am so happy now that my Prince has been saved, he is far better now, is breathing well and has started to eat, drink, sit upright and sleep too, he looks more joyful today. I thank God for this and I am so grateful to this careful and devoted Vet.
I have hereby uploaded a few pics of Prince and Duke, my lovely companions, my faithful best friends and my sincere guards too.
That's what I wanted to share with you today, for those who have similar feelings for their pets. You would understand then what I've gone through these last few days. I thank you for reading me here and wish you all my best.
Thank you so much.
Lisa.

" A RARE PHENOMENA IN THE SKY"

Today 27th of August 2014, at about 21.30 GMT/ 00.30 my local time, there would be a rare phenomena. The Moon and Mars, will appear at the same time in the sky. Something which happens as mentioned, every 200 yrs +. I don't know if they will be seen everywhere but it's just an info for my readers. Some brief notes on these three planets and a few pictures of them, Hoping they will please you. Thank you for reading.
Lisa.

MOON
Our moon makes Earth a more livable planet by moderating our home planet's wobble on its axis, leading to a relatively stable climate, and creating a tidal rhythm that has guided humans for thousands of years. The moon was likely formed after a Mars-sized body collided with Earth and the debris formed into the most prominent feature in our night sky.
The moon's weak atmosphere and its lack of liquid water cannot support life as we know it.
Surface features that create the face known as the "Man in the moon" are impact basins on the moon that are filled with dark basalt rocks.

How these Moons Got their Names
Earth's only natural satellite is simply called the moon because people didn't know other moons existed until Galileo Galilei discovered four moons orbiting Jupiter in 1610. Other moons in our solar system are given names so they won't be confused with each other. We call them moons because, like our own, they are natural satellites orbiting a solar system body (which in turn is orbiting a star).
1959-1976: The U.S.S.R.'s Luna program of 17 robotic missions achieves many "firsts" and three sample returns.
1961-1968: The U.S. Ranger, Lunar Orbiter, and Surveyor robotic missions pave the way for Apollo human lunar landings.
1969: Astronaut Neil Armstrong is the first human to walk on the moon's surface.

MARS
Mars is a cold desert world. It is half the diameter of Earth and has the same amount of dry land. Like Earth, Mars has seasons, polar ice caps, volcanoes, canyons and weather, but its atmosphere is too thin for liquid water to exist for long on the surface. There are signs of ancient floods on Mars, but evidence for water now exists mainly in icy soil and thin clouds. Mars is a rocky planet, also known as a terrestrial planet. Mars' solid surface has been altered by volcanoes, impacts, crustal movement, and atmospheric effects such as dust storms. Mars has a thin atmosphere made up mostly of carbon dioxide (CO2), nitrogen (N2) and argon (Ar). Mars is known as the Red Planet because iron minerals in the Martian soil oxidize, or rust, causing the soil -- And the dusty atmosphere -- to look red. Mars was named by the Romans for their god of war because of its red, bloodlike color. Other civilizations also named this planet from this attribute; for example, the Egyptians named it "Her Desher," meaning "the red one.

EARTH
Earth, our home planet, is the only planet in our solar system known to harbor life - life that is incredibly diverse. All the things we need to survive exist under a thin layer of atmosphere that separates us from the cold, airless void of space. Earth is a rocky planet, also known as a terrestrial planet, with a solid and dynamic surface of mountains, valleys, canyons, plains and so much more. What makes Earth different from the other terrestrial planets is that it is also an ocean planet: 70 percent of the Earth's surface is covered in oceans Earth is the perfect place for life. Earth's atmosphere protects us from incoming meteoroids, most of which break up in our atmosphere before they can strike the surface as meteorites.

*These are the main facts of these three planets I can post for you on here, as all the relative details are too long to edit. The photo of the 3 Astronauts are: Micheal Collins, Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong.
Thank you for your viewing

MAURITIUS, A FLOWER WITH VARIOUS PETALS.

My Dear Readers, you are warmly welcome to my new blog as usual. This time and briefly, I'll describe my little country to you. With an aim behind it, which you'll detect while reading it through. Wishing you a happy moment.
Lisa.
************************************
Mauritius is my country of origin, it's an island situated in the south of the Indian ocean, it is the strategic point for trade links between Asia and Africa. Mauritius has beautiful white sand beaches and blue lagoons protected by coral reefs all around, inland tropical forests with endemic species, cultural diversities, international kinds of food and all facilities to enjoy a good life. Mauritius has been colonized by several nations before, leaving thus their foot prints and souvenirs.

The Dutch period (1598-1710)
Mauritius was first visited by the Portuguese Don Pedro Mascarenas in 1511 but he didn't live on the island constantly. Thereafter a Dutch squadron commanded by Admiral W. Van Warwyck landed and settled on the island in 1598. They had named the island "Mauritius", after the Dutch Prince Moritz Van Nassau, "Stathouder" of Holland. Meanwhile they had brought slaves from Madagascar, crops, sugar cane and domestic animals from Java. But, there were on the island, a great number of the rarest birds of the world, called The DODO. They were a kind of flightless birds, very big and due to their size, they were unable to fly. And the Dutch used them as food for their survival, and water from the springs here as well. Many other Dutch families came here to settle also. They were trading in exporting the Ebony wood found from here in great quantity. They were also the cause of the extinction of the Dodo of Mauritius. Then in year 1710, some of the Dutch left but many remained here.

The French period ( 1715-1810).
3~ About 5 years later, in 1715, the French colonized the island and occupied it and renamed it "Isle de France", ( Island of France). The island was under the French Governor Mahe de Labourdonnais and has been more developed. Slaves were brought from Africa and Madagascar. The capital Port-Louis, was named after King Louis XV, a lot of trades had then started. In 1810, a strong British expedition was sent to capture the island, they failed while trying through the south, then a much larger number came in from the north of the island, and rapidly took the capital Port-Louis and overpowered the French. By the treaty of Paris in 1814, the "Isle of France" ( Island of France), regained its former name "Mauritius" and was ceded definitely to Great Britain.

The British period ( 1810-1968 )
The British administration, which began, was followed by rapid social and economic changes. One of the most important events was the abolition of slavery in 1835. Slaves which had been imported from Africa and Madagascar during the French occupation.
The abolition of slavery had important repercussions on the socio-economic and demographic fields. The planters turned to India, from where they brought a large number of indentured labourers to work in the sugar cane fields.
The Indian immigrants, who were of both Hindu and Muslim faith, were to change rapidly the fabric of the society. They were later joined by a small number of Chinese traders.

Cultivation of sugar cane was given a boost and the island flourished, especially with the export of sugar to England. Economic progress necessitated the extension and improvement of means of communication and gradually an adequate infrastructure was created. The Council of British Government which was first established in 1825, was enlarged in 1886 to make room for elected representatives.

The Council of Government was replaced by a Legislative Council by the Governor. General elections were held in August 1948 and the first Legislative Council met on 1st September 1948. Following constitutional conferences held in London in1955 and 1957, the ministerial system was introduced and general elections were held on 9th March 1959. Queen Elizabeth 11 as the Head of the state, was represented by a Governor General.

In 1965 the last constitutional conference paved the way for Mauritius to achieve independence. After general elections in 1967, Mauritius adopted a new constitution and independence was proclaimed on 12 March 1968. In 1968 Mauritius became an independent country within the Commonwealth of Nations, Mauritius achieved the status of Republic 24 years later on 12 March 1992. The official languages are English and French. We are a democratic country having freedom of speech as well. Mauritius is the most developed island in the area. Mauritius has been called: THE STAR AND KEY OF THE INDIAN OCEAN and THE PARADISE ISLAND FOR HONEYMOON.

Our identity is well respected worldwide, we are known to be a very welcoming nation, living in peace, in harmony and in respect to the others. English, French are compulsory at schools, Creole our national language. Hindi, Chinese, Italian, German, Spanish and all are taught at school, in option as one likes. We are a rainbow nation, have several ethnics, several foreign nationalities living here too, each embracing its own faith , such as Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist, Jewish and others. Each worship place is seen anywhere on the island with no conflict of race or religion. Each respects the other with tolerance.

OUR MOTTO IS: PEACE, RESPECT, HARMONY and TOLERANCE, that's how we live peacefully on such a beautiful island with other ethnic, races and religions. Though a small nation of only 1.5 million inhabitants but with pride of our achievements. Though we don't consider ourselves the best but we are trying our best. This should be an example for many other nations in conflict.

Than you for your time reading my blog, hoping it has pleased you.

With my best regards to each and everyone.

Lisa.

" MEMORY LANE CAN NEVER FADE AWAY......"

MEMORY LANE IS A POINT OF REFERENCE, A SORT OF CRITERION, A GUIDELINE OR..... CALL IT AN EYE-OPENER. A PERSONAL REVIEW OF ONE'S PAST, A MIRROR IMAGE VISION, REVISITING ASPECTS ONE HAD GONE THROUGH AND A COMMON SHARED PAST.

I took a stroll down memory lane today, not to be saddened by the lost of my people or friends that I have known, but to be grateful for the memories that I had shared with them. I took a stroll down memory lane to recall the great moments; the laughters, the joy, the emotion, the love and also the sad and tough moments of those past periods. Yes, I've taken a stroll down memory lane once more to hear their explicit voices and to vision again their facial expressions: in happiness, in sadness, in anger, in doubts and in mistrust ect ect. I took a stroll down memory lane, I have done it before and will do it again. Sometimes a short walk down memory lane is all it takes to review and analyze our deeds, our behaviours, our endeavours and to compare relatively where we are today.

Memory is the coherence of life, that possesses all our emotions, and ambitions. Without it, our joyous as well as our agonizing experiences of life won’t have any significance to us, whatsoever. If we feel we are missing out sometimes, it may be because we simply forget to consult the past or neglect to think up its ties with the presence. When the shimmer of the past is melting into the presence, spreading a scent of attentiveness and inquiringness, our mind may ask for a new reading of the story of our life. An innocuous flicker from a hazy sequence in our memory lane can affect our current awareness, making us raise questions, throwing new light on our expectations; crafting an airy vision of the future.

People walk down the memory lane to enable them to ponder upon many things: some trivials and/or some consequential actions that resulted either a delightful bliss or a distressful surprise. If we lose our memory, we lose our identity and our identity is the accumulation of our experiences. When we walk down the memory lane, it can be unconsciously, willingly, selectively, impetuously or sometimes grudgingly. By following our stream of consciousness we look for lost time and things of the past. Some reminiscences become anchor points that can take another scope with the wisdom of hindsight. A retrospection of past events and situations, is needed in one's own life. It's an assessment of occurrences, showing why and where one stands presently. Has it generated a delightful bliss or a distressful surprise?.
MEMORY LANE REMINDS US OF THE GOOD AND THE BAD PAST MOMENTS, IT ALSO ALLOWS US TO HAVE A VISION AND A THOUGHT FOR THE FUTURE.
To each his own, however.
Thanks for your read and views.

"A Dreadful Sickening True Story Of An Abused "

Welcome to my new blog. This time, I'll share with you a Very Heartbreaking True Story. A repugnant period survived by now, a young woman, who happened to be my house maid. In confidentiality, she had painfully related to me the saddest time of her childhood.

Living modestly with her parents in a remote village, her mother a plantation worker and her father, a periodical hawker.By then, the little girl was 7 yrs old, practically illiterate, absent from school regularly, thus staying home solely under her father's supervision while her mother was at work.

She was an innocent, unaware, ignorant and vulnerable little ,who
enjoyed her magical world of playing, feeding, sleeping and above all expecting little but love and care. Then came the fatidic day when her fairy-like life started to crumble into an unexpected nightmare, by the vicious devil eyes and lustful desires spelled on her small feeble little body.

Below are only some obvious and dared verbal exchange and dreadful deeds which eventually took place.

xxx-"Flora, have you watered the melon plant today?"
***-"Yes, I do it daily.... and saw a melon growing there too".
xxx-Oooh yes!, I see it everyday, a pleasure to my eyes!,
What I have planted, none will consume it ahead of me!!.It's so hot
now, let's go indoors."
A moment later:
***-" ....,What are you doing?, why undressing me?."
xxx-"We shall play a game and I'll show you how. It's a secret game
between you and me only. It is called "Tuni Tuni"(naked naked)!!".
***-"But ....,i like to play games with my clothes on!".
xxx-""YOU SHUT UP AND DO WHAT I SAY",
She was gazed lustfully and touched everywhere, that was her first time.

Another day:
xxx-" Tomorrow we'll go fishing at the rivers, you like fishing,Flore?"
***-"Oh! yes ....,I'll catch small fish to keep in the jar."
xxx-"Ok, we'll then go".
At the riverside.
xxx-"Oh, am tired fishing, we shall rest now".
***-"Why are you setting such a a place in this bush....?
xxx-" Are you not tired?, we shall rest here for a while."
***-" I am hungry and thirsty."
xxx-"I've brought some food and drink then you can ease yourself."
We shall also play our little game."
***-"No, no ...., I don't want to play that game, it pains me and you
will hurt me again>"
xxx-" No, I won't, afterwards I'll get you some nice little fish for
your jar."
***-" ok, then I'll try to catch them."

Few mins later:
***-"...., you're hurting me, please stop the game. It's painful."
xxx-"Don't cry Flora,it will soon be over and we'll go home."
***-" I don't want the fish, neither the game, dress me up please and
and, want to go back home."
xxx-"ok, I'll clean you first."
***-"I don't like this game, won't play it even with Mama!!."
xxx-"Hey, you must not tell our to anyone, neither to your mama, ok?".
If you do, you'll not see her any more, you love her, don't you?."
***-"Yes, I do, she gives me many things and loves me so much."
xxx-"So don't talk about our game and I'll buy you all you want."
***-"ok ....".
xxx-"So, keep your word, this is our own little secret for us only".

Fearfully, Flora had to accept. That ordeal was repeated systematically during a few years, till she became a . Frightened by the anger, the fury and the threats of her abuser, she was obliged to keep silent, until she learned from her friends, the real meaning of that dirty game. To escape any more threats and abuse from him, she had run away f from the house to live with a young man who married her later on.But with shame and fear, she couldn't tell anyone about the dreadful ordeal she had gone through during her childhood, therefore had has kept that gnawing secret in herself during many years.Relating sadly with tears her story to me personally, she recalled every act, every word and every place where it happened.
These have anchored and engraved in herself forever.
I had listened to her pitifully,I was so revoltant and stunningly I realized disgustfully the pain she had endured repugnantly.
That Monster, that brute, the heartless man, the pervert, the r***st, the dreadful sexual abuser, the perpetrator was none else than her own biological father. I have intentionally left the dots in the Flora's replies as a suspense for you to guess.

Thank you for your patience reading this long blog of mine.
I wish us to share our pity for that abused ,though a woman now but unable to forget that appalling and horrible episode of her life.

Kind regards.

"The Splendor of The Ocean."

In a moment of solitude, I felt going to the beach and find a place of loneliness. A place where I could be peaceful in transit with the nature. Part of the nature which no man has done or can redo. I sat down under a shady tree, my knees folded, held by my weakened arms, with distress in my heart and mind.
My soul in a placid and absolute communion with the speechless nature.
I gazed at the vast ocean and its horizon. Drowned in my feelings, in my thoughts, in my static state and reverie.
I wrote these few notes on:

"The Splendor of The Ocean."

Watching, observing, contemplating and wondering, the vast expanse of the ocean with the panoramic view of its infinite horizon, I admired splendidly the beauty of this nature, I watched and heard the sound of its wonderful waves, swelling and roaring consequently, Oh! What a marvelous nature!! .
The splendor of its water flirting with the blue sky, its waves struggling forward, billowing and crushing against the coral reefs to finally reach and embrace the sandy beach.
Its colors, at times Jade, at times blue and with the reflection of the setting sun, appearing golden as night draws near. Its transparency, its immensity, its infinity and its magnificent horizon are the astounding eternal wonders. My quests for its diversity, how its power and its mystical splendor would never ever be deniable. Being there in total harmony, has cleared off my state of mind and has given me a blissful spirit.

Am greatly thankful.

A Poem on " MOTHER NATURE"

Hello, Hi, Bonjour, Hallo, Buongiorno, Ni Hao, Namaste, Hyalo, Salaam.

It's been a while since my last blog and am back now with something a bit different but still on my main theme, with the same aim.
Always the quiet one in any crowd, yet always thinking. I found that writing down my thoughts helped me deal with my life. It sometimes comes out in poetic form. My little poems have been my therapist, my friend and my inspiration. Perhaps someone will derive pleasure or help from them as well. Mankind can be so arrogant and careless. This poem reminds us to care for our Earth or we and ours will pay the price.

Mother Nature

Our world is always changing.
Constantly re-arranging.

From ocean depths to mountain peaks,
Mother Nature moves and speaks.

While telling stories of our past
She tries to teach us how to last.

Mankind, so smart, sometimes blind
Leaves common sense far behind.

We're moving fast and living large,
Forgetting she's the one in charge.

Amazed when she rings our bell,
Sending us through living hell.

She can twist our steel, shake any city,
If her wrath you feel, we shall pity.

Yet some who speak on her behalf,
I fear just seek the golden calf.

It's true, we must treat her right.
Or we will incur a deadly plight.

We should treat her with distinction
Or surely we'll face our extinction!

Kind regards
Lisa.
