As 2018 comes to a close, I can't help to be reveling in its many blessings. As well as some good deep sighs and head shakes at its short comings. Lost a few close friends last year and that is always a great sadness. We also welcomed little Toma, the grandson my friend thought she would never have. A miracle indeed.
I found great passion, in the form of artistic endeavors. I love working with glass. I hope to do more with my paintings this year. Furniture upcycling still comes into play during my weeks. I feel very well received by my coworkers at Boss/Torro, I was overwhelmed by the generosity throughout the year. I am a contractor and thus by nature not usually included in corporate silliness, however, choosing to participate in fundraising and work crews for volunteer projects gave me an edge up. It made me family. When disaster relief was slow, Torro and Boss donated equipment to help the general public out after flooding. People got to go home, and there can be no better feeling than being a part of that. As it is tradition, another community playground was renovated and improved. It is an amazing feeling to be part of so much happiness. I truly enjoy this extended family of coworkers.
My daughter turned eleven this December. what a joy she is in life! She is that dream child. She loves school, studies like crazy. Plays quietly, is never in trouble. She has developed a preteen sassiness that is new, but we are all sassy so it just makes her family. My oldest son progresses in the technology field. My oldest daughter is an RN, head of a unit at the local Veterans hospital. Proud of my monsters!
I am still looking at places on the lake. My daughter wants her school district or I might have sold this house by now and moved. I can't blame her, her teachers have been amazing one and all. There is still one (not so lovely) fixer upper, if it is available by summer I may just spring for it. Now by fixer, we are talking a quarter mile of Lake Michigan Beach front, with fifty four acres to back it. I am guessing, this may as well be the one. Over priced and a lot of work to find its sexy.....sounds typical for me an real estate. I can build a pool and I just bought the hot tub....so what else hey?
I hope you all have enjoyed many blessing and will continue to enjoy many more. On the up side, We are all toating in the new year and that at our time in life is always a good start. Hugs and much love to you all!

I know I have friends from everywhere and every walk of life.....so here is my very incorrect Christmas greeting. Merry Christmas! Happy New Year! to each and to all.....from yours truly,
Rudolpha the Red lipped Reindeer
PS I do not know which bathroom to use, so I shall just go up on the rooftop.

Not really a blog of interest to anyone, I just need a rant. This weekend has shown me why I stay single, why I just no longer bother much. My is involved with a girl who has put him in debt, turned his world inside out to accommodate her, and now (after a text the her toy boy buddy broke up with his girl friend) she needs to "think" and has moved back to her mom's house. Oh but she isn't breaking up, its just all the stress on her right now. Honestly, I have to smile pretty and let is suffice that this is not my business. Inside, I want to tell him to put the idiot girls stuff on the curb and be done with her.
Just a hint, it is not a committed relationship if one text came and it makes you throw everything away to go chase the bigger better guy or girl. Also if a person wants to play the run around game, they need to stop saying I love you. they need to stop lying about how much they care or want to be with the other person. Look them in the eye and say I am only sleeping with you until I can get, the thinner, , richer.....XYZ person, then I am out of here. I am using you so I can have a house, a bank account, get my bills , fridge filled, have a place to flop.
I just want to tell her she is an idiot and a slut, and btw your shit just hit the curb, and people are carrying it away......life lesson, quit screwing in people's lives. Of coarse, the toy boy will screw her over in the exact way she is doing to my son right now, and she will come running back....Oh Baby, it was you I loved.
sigh.......there I ranted...
How do I treat my relationships, I don't use people. I don't go around pretending to be in love to get what I want. I work hard and I earn the things I want in life on my own, and if it takes time I am simply patient. I am extremely clear, that "this" is not their "forever" home.
