I just want to thank all of the bloggers here for the pleasure it brings reading your posts each day.
Sometimes, they are informative. Sometimes ridiculous. Often memories of some event from my own life are sparked. then it is a trip through memory lane. I like the sharing of stories with life experience. It is also good to know most everyone has a day , now and then, that sends them in a tizzy.
It has been a lovely little community here and I feel blessed to know your blogs.

After being out of work for multiple surgeries and recovery, I am back to the workforce. Gosh this seemed like forever and a day.
I'll be starting back in Home Health for Bay. This was an easy hire, because I worked with another facility for many years that partners with them. It will be different having only a handful of people a day vs. roughly 60 to somewhere over 200. The pay may not be as high, but it is not much lower and fro substantially lower responsibilities. Good trade.
Now before you go on with, "I thought you were and artist" Art is a fickle mistress. I need healthcare benefits, a job I can list on bank documents. Working for someone else gives me some security. Should the year come when sales stick (and that happens), I have a regular income to fall back on.
It will be good to be back.

I left the drive fully intending to just run a quick trip to the grocer's. I was watching the rollers out on the lake as they crested, had to be at least ten footers, surging waves. It was windy, chilly, rainy, no one would be in danger of drowning, no one would be at the beach. No one would be at the beach......the blinker switches as if under its own power, it is my turn. I turn right instead of left, no one will be at the beach, I smile. I will soon be at the beach. So I was.
The waves were still tall as they beat against the shore with the rhythm of a universal heart. The power could be felt from head to toe. the winds came with the waves almost as if it were the driving force behind them. There is a familiar chill to the air. Winter tides are coming.
Every crash of the white tip monsters pounded away the last warm vestiges or Indian Summer. Soon the snows and the ice will come. Tucking away all things living, beneath blankets of snow and sheets of ice.
today though, today an escape, while the last warmth of summer battles the cold coming of winter and tosses long locks about.

I was out with a friend earlier this evening. We dined at a very nice restaraunt, listened to good music, had an evening stroll, and pleasant conversation. We are friends and business associates, we do this a couple times a month. Then there are lunch meetings, breakfasts, coffees......lol
We sound like a dating couple, but we are simply friends. We enjoy time spent together.
I have friends that tell me, men and women cannot "just be friends", but I have a lot of just friends. I have friends that tell me, men always want something, they don't invest their time unless they do.
This is a confusing thought. I have lots of male friends. Let's face it, I do a lot of guy stuff. You make guy friends that way.
So if guys only hang out because they want something, What is the "something"? And why am I missing the signals

Just to clear confusion.....this was not a romantic break up that left me crushed. This person uses multiple handles and so, one or more will read the message even though many are blocked .

When I said I wanted to be pain ting in the studio by October, this is not exactly they way I was picturing. Taking out construction from many years before, replacing windows, rebuilding walls........oh my

What a crazy set of circles today has become. My friend shared a memory from his timeline at the same time as one of mine popped up on my timeline.
I do not know how many couples are as blessed as Jeff and Diane to have shared an incredible life of love and support, but they did. As a born Romantic, I am a fan of love, no matter who it comes to and in all forms.
Diane was taken from this world six years ago, by cancer. As an artist, I knew Diane, I did not know she was sick. I was just an admirer of her work and we had contact over art. When Diane passed Jeff was kind enough to contact me and let me know. I had been there for many through similar times, so there were a lot of late night talks.
Then he posted the picture and story behind an album he was releasing. A college project, back in the days of being two young students, up late and falling in love.
As a glass artist, I saw a perfect piece. I talked to Jeff and away we went. I began working on it and we exchanged info and ideas and apparently a year to the day.....I posted the finished piece.
So today Facebook reminded us...yesterday was Diane's Birthday. Such a big circle of events.
I had never before done anyone elses work in glass, and I most likely never will again. It was a great honor though to bring to life such a precious moment in time, when perhaps it was greatly needed. What an absolute honor.
Jeff is away in France with his partners and associates, They are making beautiful music and memories. What a fitting way to celebrate such a talented artist.

I live a very simple and upfront life. Am I poor, no. Am I rich, also no. Can I do the things I like....most of them.
My accident set me back a year. The studio I had hoped to have opened by last November, will not even be started by this November. It ok, I made this all work for several years without a studio, I can do it for a couple more. I'll deep breath, regroup and head on full steam. That is me.
It is ok, I am used to working hard. I was raised as a farm . I have always had the habit of working one FT and one PT job. So for a couple more years, I'll do just that.
Not a huge thing.
I am feeling great and its time to kick it, but things are lagging. Sometimes life gets in the way of life. It will all work out. I'll be going like crazy to catch up....lol
I got myself a present for my birthday....an annoying hot guy...ok a fitness trainer, but he is an annoying hot guy  . I need to get back some strength and I think this will help fast track it.
Much has gotten back to normal, much will take a bit longer. Perhaps the past year was a gift to teach me patience. It taught me to have boundries, a lesson I am thankful for.

I often send prayers for strength and healing. Lately , I think it has doubled or tripled.
It seems so many people are facing struggles.
Anyway, Photos are a trip back in time, not a current piece. I think though with so many facing so much, these come with Prayers and Strength to those who need.
