So the photo is from September 12, 2021. They advised me to apply to Nursing Homes, I did 15 months later and I love my job. One week after this photo, I was at my 's pirate wedding, freshly Kiel hauled!
Not an adventure I'd want to see anyone face. but a great lesson in attitude being everything.

Starting October 1st, We are supposed to have our glorious 3 day work weeks back.
I am so excited!
Adventuring with family and friends, concerts, gardening, and critters have made the summer fly by.
Pictured are some pretty posies from the garden.
One of the kitties is off to her forever home and having the time of her life! Another goes next week. They were very good kitties, mama did well raising them.
What has everyone been up to? Hope you have all had a wonderful summer.

The were visiting and I was offering to buy take away. We have several nice places here in town. My got Sassy and said Chineses Pizza. She should know by her age, that mom will take sass as a challenge. And so she did!
Chinese Pizza is a new "thing" on our list of fusion favorites.

New Old Stuff

After having a long horrible day, I took a drive. Deep into the wilderness. There I met a little gnome like man. I must have found the rainbows end because there was gold (okay, rusty gold) everywhere. Okay, there was old farm equipment.
We walked about the property and haggle prices. We did not haggle much, he was real reasonable.
While his and nephew loaded and delivered my new treasures. We sat and talked. He took me into the cabin and in true camp generosity, we shared pop tarts, coffee, and stories.
We parted as good friends, My and I stopped at the burger shop on the way home. A message from his wife came up. I told her April and I were just getting to Manistique, so her hubby and the (boys) should be there soon. I asked her not to tell on me, then I told her how much her husband talked about what an amazing woman she was. He absolutely glowed when he spoke about her. She just beamed. It made her day to share our secret. Everyone should have a love like that at least once in a lifetime.

Sometimes it is what you cannot see that truly opens the eyes. At least there was pizza! Lol. Flags on the harbor boats were upside down to honor Canada's distress. The smoke was so thick, the normally gorgeous lakeshore was gone. Canada has some tough times ahead and a long recovery. Strength and prayers to the people of Canada!
