Tina Tchen, the former chief of staff to first lady Michelle Obama, declined Wednesday to be served with a subpoena by a retired Illinois judge seeking the appointment of a special prosecutor in the Jussie Smollett case, according to the process server.

In an email to former Illinois appellate judge Sheila O'Brien obtained by Fox News, the process server wrote that a security guard at the Chicago law firm where Tchen is a partner "called up to her and spoke with her and she said that she in [sic] never going to accept service and to not allow me up to their Law firm.

I don’t know why she’d turn it [the subpoena] down, she’ll be served eventually," Ryan told the paper

Tchen reached out to Foxx on behalf of Smollett's family during the investigation into whether the "Empire" actor faked a hate crime attack on the streets of Chicago earlier this year. Smollett was eventually charged with 16 felony counts of lying to authorities in February, but the charges were, to the astonishment of many, dropped on March 26.

the title sums up very well how society has changed.

every one is so sencative or offended about some thing.

no humor or laughter.

THE "WOKE folks have f**ked up society.

sometimes it is hard to fathom that millions of Americans have attached themselves to the far left “progressive” movement.

Not only would an economic shift into quasi-socialism hurt every progressive in the country as jobs would be far more scarce, but individual freedom would drastically decline.

Today we are providing a vivid example of this by analyzing three iconic movies: the James Bond classic Goldfinger, and two legendary comedies: Animal House and Blazing Saddles.

Because Hollywood has basically bought into political correctness and the “woke” concept. Those three films would not be made today.

When I was a young man I attended my local community college for two years and got an Associates Degree at no cost for tuition. I bought the books. Community college in California was tuition free as long you were a state resident. Back then people who weren't interested in or couldn't afford higher education could be out of college and working in trades in two years. Some local manufacturing facilities offered certificates through community colleges as needed. There was also a tuition free Registered Nursing Program designed to get you working in the field in two years.

Also at time in California there were clinics offered treatment free of charge to people with no income or very low income.

Tennessee executes man convicted of killing wife in 1984

A Tennessee inmate who made headlines by requesting his last meal be donated to the homeless was executed Thursday for the 1984 murder of his wife.
Don Johnson, 68, was pronounced dead at 7:37 p.m. following a lethal injection at a maximum-security prison in Nashville. In his last moments, Johnson uttered a long prayer, asking for forgiveness. He asked the warden if he could sing, and he sang two hymns. The last words observers could hear were "no more dying here."

Johnson was convicted of suffocating his wife, Connie Johnson, at a camping center he managed in Memphis. He initially blamed the murder on a work-release inmate who confessed to helping dispose of the body and who was granted immunity for testifying against Johnson.

On Tuesday, Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee turned down last-ditch clemency requests from religious leaders, including the president of the worldwide Seventh-day Adventist Church, of which Johnson was a member. Johnson’s supporters said he had experienced a religious conversion and ministered to other prisoners.
DEATH-ROW INMATE SKIPS LAST MEAL, ASKS FOR FOOD TO BE GIVEN TO HOMELESS INSTEAD

The state's Department of Correction said Johnson turned down the last meal selection, asking his special last meal before his execution be donated to the homeless. He instead chose from the same menu given to other prisoners of the Riverbend Maximum Security Institution.

The Nashville church where Johnson was an ordained elder was collecting grocery gift cards for a meal next week for the homeless.
Johnson’s wish was inspired by another death row inmate whose request to have a pizza delivered to a homeless person prompted people all over the country to deliver pizzas to homeless shelters.Johnson is the fourth person executed in Tennessee since August. The two Tennessee inmates executed before Johnson chose the electric chair option, saying they believed it would be a quicker and less painful death than lethal injection. The state's present default method is a three-drug combination includes the sedative midazolam, which inmates have claimed causes a prolonged and excruciating death. Three more executions are scheduled for later this in Tennessee.

THIS POS KILLED 4 . TWO OF WHICH WAS INNNOCENT CHILDREN. ALL DUE TO HIM NOT BEING ABLE TO USE HIS DADS PICK UO.

THE YOUNG FOLKS WOULD HAVE BEEN 28 29.

ONE OF OUR TRUMP HATERS CONNECTED THIS TO THE ABORTION BILL SIGNED YESTERDAY BY GOV IVY.

THIS IS F*CKED UP LOGIC

“For more than 20 years, the loved ones of Randy, Dedra and the two young daughters Chelisa and Chelsea have mourned an unbearable and unimaginable loss. Four lives were brutally taken far too soon because of the malicious, intentional and planned-out murders by Michael Brandon Samra.

Alabama will not stand for the loss of life in our state, and with this heinous crime, we must respond with punishment. These four victims deserved a future, and Mr. Samra took that opportunity away from them and did so with no sense of remorse. This evening justice has been delivered to the loved ones of these victims, and it signals that

Alabama does not tolerate murderous acts of any nature.
After careful consideration of the horrendous nature of the crime, the jury’s decision and all factors surrounding the case, the state of Alabama carried out Mr. Samra’s sentence this evening. Although this can never recover the lives lost, I pray that their loved ones can finally find a sense of peace.”

this begins a legal process up to the high court.

THERE THE UNBORN WILL BE WINNERS.

the high crt is now conservative and the future looks even better to swing it futher to the right.

see aging crt justices.

since I have banned the supporters of murdering the un born. I trust comments will be kind and gentle.

if , not obvious. that means comment as you wish as long as it remains on the subjest of the blog

Pro-life lawmakers in Alabama lit a national firestorm this week by approving a near-total ban on abortion and imposing harsh penalties on doctors who perform the procedure. But supporters of the legislation do not expect it to take effect without a fight -- and that's by design.
The bill, known as HB3, criminalizes abortion in nearly every scenario, without any exceptions for cases of r*e or , regardless of how far along a woman's pregnancy is. By far the most restrictive abortion bill to emerge at the state level in recent months, it was specifically meant to initiate a legal battle that could end up before the Supreme Court -- where a solid conservative majority has emerged during the Trump administration.

The American people want a fresh debate and a new direction, achieved by consensus and built on love for both mothers and babies. The time is coming for the Supreme Court to let that debate go forward," Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of pro-life organization the Susan B. Anthony List, said in a statement on Wednesday.
The bill's sponsor acknowledges the legislation is aimed at sparking a new Supreme Court review of the landmark Roe v. Wade.

"This bill is about challenging Roe v. Wade and protecting the lives of the unborn because an unborn is a person who deserves love and protection,” GOP state

Rep. Terri Collins, told The Washington Post.

n the meantime, Marshall pointed out, "This bill will not take effect anytime in the near future, and abortion will remain a safe, legal medical procedure at all clinics in Alabama." The bill itself states that it would not go into effect until six months after it is signed into law. The bill also allows for abortion where the mother faces a serious health risk or when the unborn child has a "lethal anomaly" that would cause it to be stillborn, or die soon after birth.

The legislation quickly became a 2020 campaign issue, as Democratic presidential candidates vowed to fight for abortion rights.

Other states have also taken strong stances against abortion. A week before Alabama's bill was passed, Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp signed a bill that outlaws abortion once a fetal heartbeat is detected in the womb. This can happen as early as six weeks into a woman's pregnancy. That law will take effect in 2020. Currently, Georgia allows abortion until 20 weeks.

This was just one example of more than a dozen such heartbeat bills that have been in the works across the country, with four of them already passing in 2019.
