First time ever in a primary election.
Since I am not party affiliated i could only vote on the Constitional amendment in Kansas.
I believe the abortion issue has two sides.. but in this election I really didn't have a choice.
First I believe i had the right to vote.. Yet because this is a primary election and I am unaffiliated i did not receive a ballot nor a voting poling place.
The referendum that is written is purposely confusing
The legislature of Kansas lies
the supporter of banning abortions in Kansas flat out lie
The churches in Kansas also lie.
People have been sent emails that are Absolute purposeful lies to get them vote Yes.
So I voted No.. not because this election was about abortion.. but because this election identified what wrong with this entire country... this election was about HOW we should be governed not about abortion

On August 2nd an election will be held in Kansas.. The results of which will be the most telling and talked about.
I doubt people will understand it.. What it means.. and how it effects the entire country.
The referendum is to overturn the courts and Kansas constitution right to an abortion. The right is ONLY to have an abortion.. there are still over 20 restrictions on abortion in Kansas.
the writing of the bill, and title of the bill, the endorsements, and advertisements are a Lie and a manipualtion.. Its title is... "Value both the rights of a women and a ."
When it is entirely a pro-life, theocratic, and republican referendum. design to BAN abortions. But they all know a referendum to Ban abortions would not pass.
This country is in a world of hurt...beside the inability of the public to oversee the government. It all begins with the government inability to oversee itself. Lies and manipulations have no place in a democracy and representative government.

What need to learn from the collapse of the Soviet Union is the process not the event. There was no single event that dismantled the Soviet Union, but an invasion of western ideas, western culture, and economic instability created by a lack of regional controls. Eroding governments are subjected to this. It's a worldwide phenomenon and the primary cause of almost all conflicts. Russia and Putin understand this as not a conspiracy or intent but a more simple fact of life.. It took from 1950 to 1990 for the invasion to be completed. Putin understands the need to insulate Russia from further deterioration by controlling it's own people through Nationalism. But more important Putin sees how with an intent and use of conspiracy it can be weaponized. A long term process to deteriorate ideas, cultures and economic stability to those who would do the same to him unintentionally. In regards to this .. if one HAD to choose the single greatest factor in the fall of the Soviet Union. It was an inside job primarily caused by the Ukraine. As we see the war in the Ukraine as a Russia expansion it really geo-political. Putin see this as a defense against an unintentional Russia collapse. It's a punishment to the Ukraine and a statement that the success of the Ukraine will not be able to do any further damage to Russia. The Ukraine is the ONLY former Soviet State that has that ability The success of the Ukraine as seen by Putin, means the demise of how he sees Russia.

We went through a time were a majority of citizens believed it didn't matter the party...for varying reason Party politics was all talk and in reality candidates were the same in the actions they took. Although history will tell us different, at the time, people didn't really see that big a difference between JFK and Nixon in how the country was actually run. Every Candidate seemed to "cave in". My generation messed this up, never realizing in a Democracy that's the way it suppose to be. We grasp at straws looking for a candidate who will "make a difference". When it can only be "US" that makes the difference.

Before Trump division for the Republican was a METHOD of negative campaigning and character assassination in each individual election. It worked for them, as selling themselves was a lot harder than destroying their opponent. It was used against Obama, but didn't quite work the way it should have. With Trump it changed from a method for individual elections to an overall STRATEGY. RADIO Free Fascist America became a complete media Strategy. Right Wing pundits and Christian Right pundits were not an outgrowth from events. but a planned Strategy for the Republican party. It's too late for the Republican Party too bring America together without committing suicide. In many ways it has had the same effect on liberals and independents... as an Independent.. I cannot EVER bring myself to vote for an election denier, a Theocrat, a White nationalist, an insurrectionist, An AR-15 toting Republican Candidate, a women's rights denier, a race baiter, and an evidence and truth denier. It's easier for THEM..they just can NEVER vote for a Liberal.. whatever that is? When you don't get to decide.. THEY get to decide for YOU.

The whole story is not out yet .. but as a nation we can praise the gun toting citizen who took out the shooter.
Yet it amazes me.. the distraction of the event. in which three people died. and others wounded. the numerous patrons running and hiding in the mall..
The event is a man carrying a semi automatic rifle into a mall..who shot off more than twenty round before being taken out.. i can praise the man who took him out.. but I would prefer that someone carrying an automatic weapon into a public area could be shot on the spot. That's what would have prevented this..I can never balance out the lives saved.. to the lives lost.

The ruling on Roe V Wade, is not as bad as it would appear...States rights versus Federal authority...can be balanced when putting the abortion issue in the hands the States. On August 2nd the State of Kansas will vote on a referendum that will allow the State legislature to ban abortion. However the referendum doesn't say that. The majority of Kansans will vote not understanding what they are voting for. This issue is State Rights as they relate to voting rights and what the voting public has a right to know. A representative government should represent..but that is not case in the States. Even this would be acceptable in a Republic...if the voting Public can correct any mistakes.. The minority opinion once protected by SCOTUS is no longer sufficient for them..And the True battleground for SCOTUS to handle involves voting rights and election integrity as States control elections.. Our Democracy is not being destroyed from the top down but from the bottom up.
