Light flooding my eyes, light seizing my heart
Dances light, it dances, my friend, in my life breath
Plays light, it plays, my friend, playing on my heartstrings
Awakens sky, gallops the wind, laughs all of earth.

In streams of light, have raised their sail
Thousands of butterflies
In waves of light, have danced in thrill
Mallika Malati

Clouds golden, gold in clouds, countless are jewels
Leaves laughing, laugh in leaves, endless are delights

It was inevitable. Human kind were thrown out from the Garden of Eden by the creator for violating HIS Rules. Here is what the Bible says:

Quote..........And to Adam He said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you, ‘You shall not eat of it,’ cursed is the ground because of you; in pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life; thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you; and you shall eat the plants of the field. By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.” ......Unquote
Genesis 3:17-19

Since then, people are toiling hard for making a respectable living. Readers may kindly view some images of our rural people toiling hard in the field, in their work places, on road and elsewhere!!

4.Rickshaw puller pulls his carriage through the Village road.
5.A driven cart, on the dried up reader bed.
6.A village Tailor at work
7.A village potter absorbed in his Creation
8.Women are busy in planting rice plants in the field
9.Short break for lunch, So the fishing nets are drying up

A Magnificent Black Rhinoceros----Killed But Not Defeated!

Just look at this magnificent animal! Does it not look strong and fabulously handsome?

I feel like calling it one of the legendary animal that was certainly sent to earth for some purpose!

However, they said that, it had no right to live any further as it has lost its capacity to breed. They also say that they select rhinos for the hunts are old ones and that pose a threat to younger rhinos,

May be it was true in this case too. May be, it was not! However, the fact remains that this magnificent and legendary one is no more alive! A rich hunter, traveling from across the vast Atlantic Ocean, armed with a high powered Rifle and a licence to kill the animal has since accomplished it after a three-day hunt through the bush with government officials on hand.

It has been reported that this particular African country has sold, since 2012, five licenses to kill individual rhinos, saying the money is used to fund conservation projects and anti-poaching protection. The only rhinos selected for the hunts are old ones and that pose a threat to younger rhinos.

The black rhinoceros is since dead. The final moments came on Monday, in an undisclosed location in northern part of the concerned African Country, the fearsome rhino bull came rushing toward the hunter like a brave one and died after being shot thrice from a very close range.

The old rhino bull is dead but not defeated.

I have no comments to offer here on the justifications shown for getting the rhino killed by a hunter excepting that, we humans can justify many unjustified things if they suit us.

It is summer time here in my country to be followed by Monsoon. The wait for the soft and juicy fleshed super summer fruit is over. Our mangoes have reached its full shape and the saffron colored ripe ones have since started to appear in the fruit markets along with the green-skinned varieties that are used for making chutneys! This year, the mango orchards are full and the owners are expecting a healthy return on their investments.

Mangoes may very well be the king of all fruits.

It is the national fruit of India, Pakistan, and the Philippines, and the national tree of Bangladesh.

Why mangoes are called super fruits? What makes a mango super? Why it is also considered as the king of all fruits?

The answer is simple. We all know that this particular fruit is packed with antioxidant, fiber, vitamins and other nutrients that prevents diseases, make us look young and also help us to live long!. Its detailed benefits, explained by the uploaded pictures of this super fruit, could be found here under. Some fun facts about mango can be seen on this page also.

However, I may repeat for those readers who have no time to view the Pictures, the benefits rendered by mangoes to one who eats a mango everyday! They fight cancer, alkalize the body, aid in weight loss, regulate diabetes, help digestion, clean your skin, and make the perfect snack.

Like other Bangladeshis, I have a mango tree planted in my garden of my city home.. It is a big one! I was delighted to see huge flowering this season. Unfortunately, an untimely hailstorm has dashed my hope about even small yields!
However, I am happy for the orchard owners who are expecting bumper crops!

Some Thoughts On Mother's Day.

I wish my mother were alive today! She died when I was 60 years old. She was then passing her 90th Springs in this world. She looked after me these 60 years in addition to having me in her womb for nine months. I can still remember her spending tiring days and sleepless nights catering to our needs. Even after I grew up, she never stopped taking care of me. She was a special woman to my life. I believe my readers are not different from me.

Origin of this particular day could be traced back to the era of ancient Greek and Romans. Some, however, refer to the Mothering Sunday celebrated in United Kingdom much before the festival saw the light of the day in US. However, the way the day is celebrated now, is not even hundred years old!

Here are some easy suggestions that I could collect from a well-circulated local newspaper for those who are lucky to have their mothers still alive and who would like to do something special for them on this day!

You may plan a Mom’s day out! Just a day trip with your mother out of the city or village where you live. A relaxing day out in the nature with your loving mother could be one of the best gifts to her.

You can surprise your mother by serving her breakfast in bed on this day. This is the easiest way to make your mother feel happy and joyous too. Do you not think so?

Please do not forget to get her fresh flowers. Fresh flowers could be wonderful gifts for Mother’s Day.

You can also shop for her until you drop dead! It can be anything that your mother likes! Take your mother out for a day of shopping!

You could do many things for your mother to celebrate the day. Think about the best one and do that to make her smile!

Spend the entire day with your mother if you could. Love her and pamper her, Remind her some of the stories she told you to put you to sleep when you were a ! Could you imagine a quality time with your beloved mother than this day?

One thing I feel like telling you here that my mother is still watching me somewhere from Heaven. I can see her smiling and loving face.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Bangladesh was shaken twice by strong earthquake and its shock wave in a span of half an hour this afternoon.
The jolt was felt shortly after a 7.9 magnitude earthquake struck an area between the capital Kathmandu and the city of Pokhara.
No major damage was reported from anywhere in Bangladesh as yet. Some buildings in the capital, Dhaka, tilted in impact.
Over 100 people were injured across the country when they were coming out of buildings hurriedly
A panicked woman died of stroke in Pabna during the earthquake.

However, the story is different in Nepal. Viewers may see the pictures uploaded below. Huge damages and many deaths have occurred there.
A Nepali minister said there had been "massive damage" at the epicenter.. It is feared that the death toll may go up to an unthinkable level.
Please join me in prayers for the departed souls.

Perhaps It Was Not A Dream !!

I found myself going somewhere-----maybe to a nearby place, and suddenly I heard your voice calling, ‘Fimuuuuuuuuur’!
I looked around and I saw you at a little far, --- probably in a parking place. You were sitting inside a car on the driving seat; the car seemed to be like a green and grey colored.
Then I hide because I was in my short, but I still looked at you from far and still you were calling me aloud.
I was reluctant to go towards you right at that moment. Therefore, I stayed where I was------ hiding and still gazing at you!
I heard you calling me again very loud, ‘Fimuuuuuuuuur’!
I responded back, telling you that I will be there after changing into the trouser you like me to wear!

I turned back to return home. Suddenly, I felt like turning back to see you in that green and grey car. I could see you still looking towards me. However, this time I saw someone in white sitting beside you in the car! The person looked like a woman in a white Shawl to me or was it something else? Was it a Saree? I could not be sure though! May be, I was wrong! May be, there was none beside you!

Then I started walking back towards my home thinking aloud, ‘have I seen a woman dressed in white with you in that car? If that were so then I must not come back to you after changing into the trouser!
I walked slowly on the newly asphalted road which passed by my home. Frequently, I looked back as you did neither stopped calling me nor removed your eyes from me!
At last, I could reach the top of the road that went up to a high ground. I started to go down the road when the onrushing floodwater came to my view and heard your voice fainting until I heard it no more!. I turned back to see you when a voice told me, “do not worry. I shall take you home!”

Was it you who took me home last night?
If not, then why did I feel your warmth continuing next morning when I woke up?

The Boy Who 'Knocked Out' Ali.

This is a story being unfolded hereunder supported by some related pictures that I always wanted to share with my friends and sport lovers!

The story is about the boxing match that took place 37 years ago between Muhammad Ali and a young boy, aged 12 years, at the Dhaka stadium
Perhaps, it was the most unforgettable as well as the most exciting part of Ali’s sojourn in Bangladesh. It is believed that Muhammad Ali surely had taken the fight to entertain the crowd and those who were watching TV, but it meant a whole lot to the boy! I still feel lucky that I could watch the event live with many thousands like me at the stadium !

Muhammad Ali, the “greatest heavyweight boxer ever,” came to Bangladesh along with his wife 37 years before on February 18, for a five day visit. Ali, his wife Veronica and his entire entourage were state guests and treated like royalty. He was awarded the citizenship of Bangladesh. The entire touring party got the opportunity of visiting all the important touring spots of Bangladesh including the tea gardens of Sylhet, the tiger-infested Sundarbans, the Chittagong Hill Tracts and the fabulous sun-soaked beaches of Cox's Bazar.

Ali visited Bangladesh after Leon Spinks beaten him on points. A devastated Ali thought that he could not face his fans in this country. However, history tells us otherwise now. He went back home very happy and rejuvenated!

Now back to the story!

Mohammad Giasuddin was only twelve years old and was also the junior boxing champion at that time. After being selected to fight the “greatest ever boxer” , the skinny and fleet-footed boy was bubbling with enthusiasm as Ali arrived at the ringside, wearing a red gown and eyes hidden under dark glasses.

“Fighting against Muhammad Ali was the greatest achievement for me because such an incident doesn't happen in everyone's life. Whenever I remember that day, I feel a different type of pleasure,” recalled Giasuddin . now a bulky and bearded businessman approaching 50,to a local newspaper interviewer. The event, though, was nothing but a mock fight arranged to entertain the people but for Giasuddin, it was completely a
different thing! It was a matter of rubbing shoulders with the world’s greatest ever heavyweight boxing champion!!
In a recent interview with a local English language newspaper, Giasuddin recalled the great event, “in the first bout, Ali tried to scare me but I didn't pay attention. I rather went forward like a boxer. At one point, Ali started to scream to frighten me. However, I kept my nerve and tried to hit him on his face. But to be honest, I could not reach his face as he was too tall; so I kept punching on his belly.”
There was a lot of drama in the third and last bout as Ali pretended he was dizzy from the hits and fell on the floor as the referee counted from one to three. Ali was declared to have been knocked out by young Giasuddin, much to the cheer and laughter of the spectators.

The young boy’s boxing career was unfortunately cut short by a motorbike accident.
However, he could still remember that after that match many people came to see him. Giasuddin still evokes people’s respect when they find out that he was the boy who had knocked out the greatest ever heavyweight boxer of the world!
