Am I asking too much or just Deluded?

I originally came SFF have with the Real world, Real people. And some degree I have done that. I have made several Friends, though I have as yet meet any of them,, but,,, none the less... And therein lies the problem,,,
I want to SEE someone,, , eye to eye. Have actual physical contact , meaning shaking hands, giving and receiving a Friendly hug.
one of those people that DOES read profiles ,and I have found that,,, well I guess just S.O.L., mainly because a cigarette smoker, and No,, I have no plans of quitting anytime soon.
I have witnessed first hand the issues associated with smoking. I've seen family member who smoked for years then quit and in some cases, in less than 5 years have either died or ended up on oxygen 24/7 but by the same token, I have seen folks who continued to smoke and lived to be in their 80's and 90's with little or no complications, so from my perspective, seems it has more to do with your body chemistry and the way certain things effect each individual.
I am a polite smoker, meaning that if in YOUR home or YOUR vehicle, I won't smoke. I'll either wait until we've stopped somewhere or I'll go outside. I have been able to go 2 or 3 hours without a smoke. I also sometimes use one of the disposable e-cigs that' s pre-loaded and can not have anything added it like vape's. I do have a vape e-cig, but I seldom use it.
Granted,, distance is a factor with me at the moment. Due to my living situation, not able long distances but I would like to meet someone local say within a 75 mile radius, simply for coffee or if she's agreeable, perhaps dinner or a movie. Not a lot of places go dancing but with enough planning, sure I could find a place.
I reiterate the fact that, I AM a Gentleman. When I ask a Lady for an evening , I do so with no ulterior motives, no expectations or obligations, just two people enjoying an evening on the town with pleasant conversation and maybe a laugh or two.
not a "pushy" person. I try be respectful of "boundaries" and not ask questions that might make someone uncomfortable. If you want me to know something,, You'll tell me and that's all I ask in return,, mutual RESPECT.
I don't know... Perhaps I an asking too much....
Anyway,, that's my thoughts on the matter.

Newly Completed Wind Chime,, For a Friend.

This one took longer than I had planned but I finally finished it last night,6-30-19.
Just hope it posts.
And for the record, there are NO nails. I used bamboo pins and wood glue to hold the base and stand together.

As some of you have noticed, not here as much as I used be. I had go back work just make ends meet and even that seems be a struggle.
I haven't posted any new windchime designs as I haven't had the time to work on them, that coupled with the fact that things didn't go as expected.
I have missed being here and I have truly missed being in . By the time I get off work, it's generally around 6:30 pm CST. By the time I get home, eat dinner, and take a shower, it's after 9 pm and by then most if not all have left the chatroom for the night.
I'll keep checking back when I can.

I have not been around the last few days and I have missed a lot. Sadly,, I may miss more.
I won't go into details but suffice it to say that I have some issues that require my attention. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY ONE ON THIS SITE,,, I just want to make that clear.
Although I have not met any one in person from SFF,, I have made Friends and it pains me not to be able to chat with them at this time. I do HOPE to return to SFF Chat soon but for now,, Please bare with me,, This site and the People I've had the pleasure to chat with over the past few months, mean more to me than even I have words to say, and some,,, more than they'll ever know.
Friendship,,,, I don't use the term haphazardly,, I cherish those whom I consider as Friends and to them I say,, Thank You.....
