They are such handsome fellows yet different from each other. Josh is the Golden Haired Yuppie while Billy is the Dark Eyed Maverick.

I actually shared
the Holidays with both of them this year.

I was very busy Cashiering at WallyWorld on December 24th. A young man came through the line. I couldn't find the scan bar on one of the Hats and he kept insisting they are all the same price. Nope this one is
cheaper, I commented. I finally found the scan bar and comments. See, I was correct and continued to ring him up. "Merry Christmas, Mom!" He replied.

Dang, How can I do a whole transaction and not even recognize my .
I had to work Christmas Eve but we went to a Friend's in Virginia afterwards which is where I took this photo.

On X-Mas Morning - Josh and I went to a Holiday Breakfast with some of my 12 Step Friends. He and Billy played Football at the Park afterwards. Josh has to leave for Georgia afterwards.

Billy and I celebrated a X-Mas Dinner at the local Chinese Resturant. Chinese Resturants are ALWAYS Open on X-Mas. YEAH!

What is life? A madness. What is life? An illusion, a shadow, a story. And the greatest good is little enough; for all life is a dream, and dreams themselves are only dreams. Pedro Calderon de la Barca

Adventures at the Moose Lodge and The Enchanted Island Opera

My Friday Nite Date at the Moose Lodge was a No Show but I sang a very off-key "That's Amore" and danced the Electric Slide anyway.
I didn't clear the room with my singing. In fact I was invited to join "The Women of the Moose!"

So Today I went the the Opera. It was interesting to actually see an Opera performed in English especially by Italian Singers.

The Opera "The Enchanted Island" Music by Handel, Vavaldi and Rameau was Awesome.

The Plot included
Love Magick gone awray, Mismatched Lovers and the Deities intervene getting set. Great Play for a Love Skeptic like me. LOL! "The Heart that Loves can be broken.

The Play was a combination of Shakespeare's Tempest and Midsummer Night's Dream

"The Heart that Loves can always be broken"
The Heart that
Loves will be be broken
That is the Truth that
Remains Unspoken
That is the Truth that will never be Spoken"

Yea Haw!

Three Day Walmart Break on the Horizon.
What to Do! What to do!

Friday, I have a Blind Date. We are going Karaoking at the Moose Lodge. If my singing don't scare him off...... I'll invite him to the Opera The Metropolitan Opera via Greenbrier Valley Theatre on Saturday.

If that don't scare him off, I'll invite him to go Geocaching on the Greenbrier River Trail in the SNOW!!!!

If he...'s really brave, I'll take him to the Greenbrier Valley Fitness and make him do five miles on the underwater treadmill.

If that don't scare him off, I'll take him to that cougar's den aka the Old Fart Dance on Tuesday Night.

My FiretrUCKING luck with men!!!!!
He will conclude that my azzzzz is big as the moosehead at the lodge and run away before I even sing the first note.

Bah Humbug! I don't need him. Life is fun anyway

Foto Friday the 13th - Deism versus Superstitions.

Superstition is the poetry of life. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Spiritually, I am a Deist which is the belief that there is a God but there is also logic and reason.

Yet there are some Superstitions that DO bring poetry to my life. I make Dreamcatchers to chase away the bad dreams and embrace the Fantastic Dreams.

St. Christopher is Welcome in my car and the fact that he was booted out of Sainthood makes me like him even more especially since there is a forecast of snow on FRIDAY THE THIRTEEN.

I like that Charlie Brown Tree so much that I didn't want to take it down so I am not going to. I've made it a Holiday Tree in the true sense of the word. First there is New Year's next Martin Luther King Day. There is Candlemas, Valentine's Day, Spring Equinox, Ad Infintum.

I don't EVER have to take that tree down

I actually have more fun giving presents verus receiving them. I figure - Why be good all year just to get a few trinkets from Santa Yeah Right! Life on Life's Terms.

Finding the Right X-Mas Card was the Real Challenge. I found one with Santa Mooning but won't send that to everyone. I usually try to find a card with "Holiday Greetings" verus "X-Mas Greetings) to respect everyone's Spiritual Beliefs. Nevertheless, according to Irish or perhaps Russian Folklore, it's good luck to receive a card with the Three Wise Men.

The card she told me you put there is the Three Wisemen or the Three Kings Card
what it means - is you will have Good Luck and Good Wealth that year.
So now that you know my story decide for yourself which card goes were.
May all your Luck and Wealth come true.
God's Blessings Vicki

"The tradition in most of Central Europe involves writing the initials of the three kings' names above the main door of the home to confer blessings on the occupants for the New Year.
For example, (You put the year it is at the beginning and end) The western church had the names (Caspar, Melchior and Balthasar "

First I found a box of cards conveying Holiday Blessings, Next, I found the Three Wise Men Cards at the Dollar Store.

I've decided to send Everyone BOTH Cards. My Sister gets three including the Mooning Santa.

The last time I had an X-Mas Tree was in 2005. It was a half price dollar store fiber optic tree that I bought a few years before.

I Loved that Tree but alas I moved to Texas and gave the tree away.

I decided that I wanted a tree again this year. I was looking for my beloved half price dollar store Fiber Optic Tree except it would be full price minus my WallyWorld Discount.

WallyWorld had them for Sixteen Dollars which would be Fifteen Forty with my WallyWorld Discount. Dang! Do I really need a tree that bad.

A few Days ago, I was Kroger and found the Charlie Brown Tree for $12.00. So the company store is not getting my money this year.

I LOVE this Tree.

I am not a Cat Person but I managed to acquire a Feline Creature. I did a job transfer to Charlottesville for a Love Connection that went South. The major challenge was to contintue working Charlottesville on Sam's Club Wages in C-Ville's High Rent District. I placed an ad in Craig's List. I was contacted by a Family who needed someone to be a care provider for a woman who was in Hospice.

Mrs. L
was Arapaho Indian and Loved Astrology. We were Kindred Souls. She also loved Cats. Abner, Dizzy, Smudge, Spooky, Cricket, Peanut and Boogie. Moochy was the Sole Survivor.

I took care of Mrs. L but I also took care of Moochy. Every night I would come
home from Work and Moochy would follow me to the door greeting me with "Yeow Yeow Yeow!"

He is at least 17 Years old. He decided that he was going to live with Mrs. L. She made him stay outside because he would beat up the other cats.

Mrs. L is now in the SpiritWorld. She died at home in her bed, the way she wanted to. Her , her 's partner and I cared for her in those final hours. Moochy came in and layed on the foot of her bed.

Now Moochy lives in West Virginia and he has adjusted quite nicely to being an indoors cat. He still greets me every night when I get home from work with "Yeow Yeow Yeow
!"

I am not a Cat Person but I have a Cat. Life on Life's Terms.
