Trying to get my neighbor

Now that title can be a question also. How do you go about it in a straight world without giving yourself away. In a gay bar or bath they are there for the same reason .. But,,, you have a real cute married neighbor in his 80s you are totally in love with and it is like torture every time you see him as you can't just reach out and touch him . Of course you help him out when he or his wife needs and and you are in their good graces, but that doesn't get you to first base. And since no one but a few close friends even know about me I'm not about to put my reputation on the line and tell him I have the hots for him.
What does a person in the closet do in a case like this ?
Positive reinforcement . I do say call me for anything at anytime since they are in their 80s . I take him for a coffee if he is available . We have cocktails or night caps back and forth every so often . I guess the ball is in his court . By now he must have caught on or not or maybe he is in the same situation and afraid to make the first move tooooo.
The man who brought me out always told me never to make the first move in a straight situation and never to crap in my back yard.
UPDATE - The poor guy's wife passed away so he is all alone in the unit next to me. He is hurting and I have re enforced that I'm there for him if he needs to talk even if it is at 3AM.. Just call me . I know he doesn't get it or maybe he does …. I'd rather j/o than jeopardize the friendship.
So help me out ,,, what does a man do ? For now I'm going to look at a pic of him and j/o....................................................

I'm to be in Florida for the winter . Something I have done now since I retired 15 years ago. The best thing about it is that there are tons of nice cute grandpas down there . There are many gay ones but they seem less desirable for some reason . Maybe it is because they are available .
Shopping at Costco, Publix and Winn Dixie are about the best entertainment when I'm out and about. These old timers have been married and hen pecked for so long they have no idea that they are sexually desirable. You cant' imagine how some of their wives treat them. I want to grab them and hold them and take them home and show them how they should be treated. Many are very st8 and would never flip but with the net many are curious .. But I never play my cards as I'd hate to make a wrong move .
Such a dilemma .. IT is almost as bad as finding a cute man you like on the other side of the planet.

I loved grandmas and grandpas all my days from as far back as I can remember . AS I grew my love of grandpa turned sexual but being from a small town and very naive I had no idea or understanding of what was happening in my head. I struggled with this and lived a straight life till 30 and finally met a man 35 yrs older than myself and after 6 months of beer/scotch chats he took me home . My first time and I never looked back. He is still the youngest man I was ever with . Mostly now I gravitate to men in their 80s although there are a very few who achieve the look I like in their late 60s and early 70s.
Although I looked ok ( masculine appearing and acting ) was in a successful career and financially good, coming on to a nice 75 to 90 year old in a gay bar tended to raise a lot of red flags . IT was very hard to get to first base for many till they got to know me thought I could have been a hustler or worse .
But perseverance does pay off and I managed to meet some very nice mature gents and eventually settle down.
As times goes by I'll tell of some experiences and would like to hear of some too.

Grandpas and why I love them

To me a grandpa is someone not only who has grand but someone who is a warm and compassionate man. The ones I usually like are more likely to be great grandpas as I like men 75 and up to 90s. But my favorites possess special qualities . You can look at their face and see a measure of kindness and warmth emanating from them . They have warm yet happy eyes that put people around them at ease . They are usually gray and or gray balding or bald with a white fringe. yet looking into their eyes you can see the warmth and kindness.
I can tell in a second a man who is content and at one with himself . That is the kind of man I seek and can fall in love with .
