HELLO THE PORCH !!! 11/23/2018
It's been a while since anyone has sat in this rocking
chair... I had to brush away the cobwebs... hmmm! I bet there
hasn't been any music either... I can remedy that...
I'll put on some 'middle of the road' stuff
that should appeal to most - ya know... not too loud ... not

What will happen in 2016? 1/14/2016
As we enter the New Year I can't help wondering what
will be in store for us this year. Elections in USA will bring
a new President and world leader... Surely not Donald Trump?
However the result is in the hands of the voters who are much
better informed than me.
General elections are also due in Australia this year with
current Prime Minister Turnbull and his Liberal/National
coalition ...

It seems that every western country is suffering problems
due to the influx of refugees and illegal immigration.
In USA presidential candidates are promising to build
giant fences along the border with Mexico to keep people
out and one candidate has also promised to treat the border
with Canada similarly.
Europe is being overcome with thousands of refugees entering
Greece, Italy, France ...

WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER GOOD BREEDING???? 7/18/2011
I saw this word in a blog a couple of days ago, this has nothing
to do with that blog of the writer as such, but the meaning
of the word in it self. My mother used that word freely, if you did not come from
a family that could show a pedigree going centuries back,
you were of no good breeding. This used to make my toes curl,

GOING BACK 26 11/20/2010
It was about a couple of days before I had to return to Lima
and back to school, I woke up with high temperature and chills,
the local doctor/vet was called in and his diagnosis was
Malaria, a little pesky mosquito had left its mark. I was
severely ill for a couple of weeks, was made to drink quinine,
over and over again, it is the bitterest taste imaginable.

Music of the new generation! 11/15/2010
My grandson was listening to a video on You Tube where they
were just screaming. So I was able to trace it and the words
on it were all f's and b's and c's (obscene
words) so I read the lyrics and was surprised at what passes
for music now with the younger generation! It shows a lack
of vocabulary but the worst part was the screaming!

Exercise for Seniors 11/3/2010
I'm convinced that the older we get, the more exercise
we need to be healthy. A recent study concluded post menopausal
women decrease odds of cancer by walking. Another said
exercise will prevent ahlzeimers disease better than
Soduko. Exercise and diet will help us lose weight. Exercise
