A Gift,,, From My Boss/Friend I've been in the construction field for 36 . Had many Employers, some I liked,, some,, well, I won't go there. In all those I can honestly say that I've NEVER had the relationship with ANY employer like I have with my present one. He's more than just my Employer,, He's my Friend and I'm Grateful for it. I have earned his Resect and he mine. Last week, he gave my Christmas Bonus,, Today he presented with the following photo. It's a Plasma Cutter. It's like an oxyacetylene torch but way more efficient and economical as it requires no acetylene, only an air compressor and an electrical currant. You may have seen or may even have one in your home,, those metal silhouettes,, those were cut out using a plasma cutter. Can't wait to start using it..... |

Just a P.S. The steel frame the cutter is setting on is the next project,, a deer stand,, for the Boss. He assigned me the task of building it. This one is going to take a while to complete. I'll post photos of my progress.

You can take brass sheet stock -----trace different sizes monarch butterflies on it -----cut the perimeter & vein in wings with torch-----heat makes magnificent color arrays as it dissipates away from torch path------bend wings & mount on rounded tumbled riverbed rocks and people will stand in line to buy ones you have made up as they see you making one at trade fairs.

When you said Plasma, I was thinking Medical Equipment. Perhaps not.

construct lighted box with bosses name stenciled & torched out on 2 opposing sides-----divider in middle------mount on gate post.------light with one of those simple sunlight memory yard lights. It would make the boss farm easy to find at night. LOL They may go over better in the city if they mounted on large brick mailbox constructions. one in front running down. Always a way to make a dollar. LOL Party On!

I can imagine your excitement because we have a nephew who works with wood, and he gets so excited when he gets some new equipment to enhance his abilities in his craft. And how great it is, to have such a boss, who is also a friend. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Thanks everyone,, and yes,, I am excited to start using the cutter. Uncleremussr,, I have a small mig myself, it's what I used to build the hay rings posted in my previous blogs and I'm using it to build the deer stand also,, Best $300.00 I ever spent. I bought the mig welder from tractor supply, it has preformed beautifully. Once again, Thank you all for the wonderful comments, after I've had time to practice with the cutter, I will post photos.... Take Care and Stay Safe.
