Again, keep in mind, I'm NOT a Certified welder, just an old carpenter,, with a little experiance in other fields of construction.

I do Sparkle but this is for my Boss, He wanted it built for next deer season. When it's finished, it'll be 10 feet off the ground, insolated and paneled on the inside with windows. It'll have skids on the bottom so it can be moved if need be.
He's already ordered the sheet metal the outside so that'll be just part of the next phase.

That's a very sturdy frame you've made. With a few modifications, I imagine it would make for an ideal shark/crocodile diving cage - quality workmanship. Proof that effort is its own reward.

The deer might just join the boss in the cabin instead of waiting for him to get on the stands.

So,, to address "expe_teacher".... My Boss is a "conservitive" Hunter. He will NOT take an animal less than 5 years of age and he is an excellent shot both with bow,(compound and cross), black powder or standard rifle. He is a "points" hunter as well,, something I don't fully understand but, if the points are less than 150,, he won't shoot.
The dimensions of the cabin are: 8ft x8ft base. Inside is 6ft x 8ft. Front is 7ft tall with a 4inch drop to the back. Spacing on the frame is set on 16 inch centers except for the roof rafters which are on 2 ft. centers. The cabin will be insolated using 2 inch foam insolation, 3/4 inch plywood flooring and 1/2 inch wall paneling which will reduce the noise.
The location of the stand will be on very private land with very limited access by anyone other than family, as for it being stolen,,, not a chance. As is, it'll take a tractor to move it once fully assembled, not to mention, that who ever tried would also need an oxyacetylene torch,,, Highly doubtful anyone would go that much trouble.
By the time the next hunting season arrives, the animals will be used to the stand being in their territory.
Thank you for your feedback.

The deer stand is almost complete,, well sort of. The Boss and have covered 3 sides with tan sheet metal which we will then do a camo paint scheme using various colors of green and brown.
I tried to get photos but my cell phone camera was full. I'll try to get photos soon, had to stop and cut up lumber for several new portable buildings.

Thnk You Lotso. There's still quite a bit of work to do to it. I finally got all the metal on except for the roof and a few pieces of trim,,, ran out of material.
