A Poem,,, For Those Who Know,,,

It has been 3 yrs. -3 months since my wife passed away. During our time together she had asked me to writer a poem to her, about her,, Regrettably, I was never able to,,, until now. We had 15 wonderful together.
Many of you, like myself have known the loss of a Loved one so I know you'll understand the words,,, grab your tissues for this one.

Silent Tears

Shed in darkness
No one hears
The deafening sound
Of silent tears

In darkness, long and deep
A broken heart at my feet
Shattered dreams upon the floor
Of a Love that is no more

Memories of long ago
Like the tides
They ebb and flow

A love so pure and deep
Now it's gone
And I weep

Shed in darkness
No one hears
The deafening sound
Of silent tears

Definitely understand silent tears. My husband of almost 30 years passed away in 1995, and the pain from it was still strong enough that when Joe and I met, I almost walked away from "us" because I didn't want to go through that pain again.
That was almost17 years ago, and I'm glad that I chose not to run away. I still have times of tears, and Joe is so understanding! The murder of my son is our fresh source of silent tears in both our lives.

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.
