Project Update,,,

This is the finished work table. I had cut 4 inches off the support bars allow the 2x4 "scabs" pass. "Scabs are boards we use connect long runners.
Exampole: A building ft. wide x 32 ft. long requires 8- 4" x 6" x ' and 4- 4" x 6" x 8' as a wide requires 4 skids/runners. These have be tied together with scabs which 2 x 4 's- 4 foot long nailed on each side of the runner.
The second photo is a typical floor being built. It's only a wide but you'll see the skids.

The skids will set in the tracks,(the red metal), and once the floor is built we'll slide it off and be ready for the next one.

It's a talent to see things in your mind's eye and build them, even design things that will aid in that. It's even better when you really enjoy what you are doing.

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

I forgot to ask - the big roller door at the rear, is there another roller door at the front also so when the completed floors come off the skids, they are then stacked, ready to be loaded & transported without having to move the work-table which would prove cumbersome if having to do too often (?). [Sorry if asking the obvious]

Yes Lilium, there is a front roll-up door. We don't stack the floors though. Once they leave to table,, they are dragged to the shop behind this one where the crew there builds the walls, adds the windows and doors then puts on the sheet metal siding, roof metal and trim. All our buildings are built right in our shops.
Once finished, they set out for customers to look at. We also have 2 more sales lots they we supply buildings for.
