For the Time Being..... I am no longer a subscribing member therefore I am unable to send or read messages nor am I able to read profiles. I originally came to this site to chat and find friends and perhaps find someone to date on occasion. I did make some good Friends and even met a few in person, as for the dating part,,, nothing As of late, chat has all but died out. Seems there is never anyone in the chat room so, I let my membership expire. f you wish to contact me, you can send a letter to my email address : rebelviking at the "y" dot communications. I agree with you there doesn't seem to be that many in the chat room any more not like it used to be which is too bad I used to really enjoy the entertaning conversation when there was a full lobby hopefully like you mentioned things will change hope all is well over your way take care and stay safe and have a very Merry Christmas

I hear you about the chat rooms and I can speak to the chat experience here as a relative newbie. I joined this site around October of 2020 specifically for chatting. Less than a month later I was so disillusioned that I stopped chatting. I don't want to “hijack” your post by describing or analyzing my experience, but I will say that I agree with you in hoping that things will change. Maybe when things settle down after the holidays, like-minded former chatters can exchange ideas on how to breathe some life back into the chats. Take care and stay safe!  A day without dance is .... just kidding. I have no idea!

I haven't been a subscriber in quite a few years. I acquired two relationships from Hades through SFF. One was a dufus truckdriver who left me stranded in Texas and the other one ditched me for a blonde alcoholic. Thus finding a relationship is not my agenda. I just blog. Abracadabra

Hi Rebel, I was a gold paying member for many years back in the early 2000's. When they removed some features like flash chat, I dropped that. *This site is great in that it allows non-paying members to chat & blog. With the chat room, timing is everything. Sometimes when I come into chat, there's a long string of names of folks checking in. Unfortunately, they don't say anything and don't wait around for a couple of minutes to see if anyone else arrives. Then there are the ones who peek in, see maybe only two chatters, don't bother even saying, "Hi,".... and leave.  Because of distances most of these types of social sites don't seem to be a good place to actual meet someone if you're looking. Of course the chat room is like a slice of people you would meet in real life.....the good, the bad, the happy, the unhappy. **WISHING YOU ALL THE BEST, REBEL!! LOTS OF BIG WARM HUGSSS~~

I DROPPED MY SILVER MEMBERSHIP YEARS AGO. IT IS POSSIBLE TO READ MAILS IF A MEMBER SENDS YOU ONE AND YOU CAN ANSWER. CHAT HAS BEEN VERY POOR FOR WEEKS BUT ONCE IN AWHILE WHEN IT IS AROUND NOON HERE, I FIND PEOPLE IN THE ROOM TO CHAT WITH. IT IS A QUESTION OF LUCK.

Unfortunately, there are several multible ID,s on this site. I think we just need to understand that some are chronicaly depressed but, don't enable them. This site has been overtaken by fake ID's from years ago.

SFF definitely has its upside and downside..... as well as ups and downs in participation. It's just up to each of us whether we stick around or not. When I first joined, I bought a membership for several months because I liked to read profiles. I really liked that everyone could participate in the chat rooms, and they almost always had people in them, even in the wee hours or the night. I guess just like society changes, so does SFF. I enjoy it when new and somewhat younger folks come into the blogs. We older ones, who have been here for a decade or more, have enjoyed each others company, in person or online, and it's nice to 'meet' new folks. The days of the face to face getting together seems to be fading, unless these youngers start them up again. I doubt that Joe and I will ever get to enjoy the physical company of our online friends again, but it's nice to be able to stay in contact with them here and on face book. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.
