Several years ago I was going to go with my ex boyfriend to his 25th class reunion. I only knew a couple of people in the class. Wondering what to do there and figured something would happen and I would know. WELL it sure did! Dear Abby had a letter about that time written by a woman going to her husband's class reunion. She knew no one in the class other than her husband and wanted to know if Abby had any suggestions. Abby told her to see if anyone seemed to not have anyone talking to them and introduce herself, ask something about the person and strike up a conversation.

I decided I could do that...not realizing how great this would turn out!!! I saw a couple standing there smiling as if to say, "Aren't we having a great time". No one seemed to be talking to them. I walked up and introduced myself and asked which one was in the class. She said, and I repeat...never will forget!! "I was and we flew in last night in our plane from our ranch in Texas, we raise Longhorn Cattle". I stood there for a few seconds, and just know my mouth was hanging open. I am NEVER at a loss for words but my brain stopped functioning and the only thing I could say was, "Oh". I turned around and walked away. Several days later I told one of the gals I did know what had happened. She laughed and said, "That is Susie Jones and they really do have a Longhorn Cattle ranch in Texas and are very wealthy".

GreatSmile4you had a blog the other day saying she was going to her class reunion...it reminded me again of this and I knew I had to share it!

Did you know that Tuesday, September 19th is "International Talk Like a Pirate Day"? It was started by 2 guys with I'm sure too much time on their hands or too much booze in the bottle. Dave Barry wrote a blog about it. Monday night the 2 Pirate guys are appearing on what they call "Wench Swap" or we call "Wife Swap". Of all places, I learned of this Talk Like a Pirate Day at church this morning!! haha You can look in search for more information. There is way too much to repeat here. Ahoy Mates and Blimey....arrggghhh

I just read The Critters Writer's Group. Now...I have always wondered, pronounce Kansas, now pronounce Arkansas. Why?? I think I have been told Arkansas is an Indian word for something, but what is Kansas? If you know the answers let me know, I wonder about lots of things!!! Maybe I have way too much time on my hands.

I have been going to write this for quite awhile and wondered if it would go through...today I will try!

My brother has a show on PBS called America's Heartland. You can view his site and there is quite a bit of information about his almost 40 years of TV broadcasting on americasheartlanddotorg. There is also stations his show can be seen. Perhaps you have seen him over the years on Discovery and Travel channels. If you view this (and I hope you do), wave at him and say his sister says Howdy! lol

Having read the information of the different states and countries...WOW our world has so many wonderful places!

From Indianapolis (famous for the Indianapolis 500 race), going south we have Nashville, Indiana with a lot of artsy shops and leave main street and there are a lot of hold over hippies. Next to Nashville is Beanblossom (love the name of that town). Bloomington, home of Indiana University and Bobby Knight coached the IU basketball team, and threw a chair in one of his temper tantrums! haha Near here is Vincennes where Red Skelton was raised. They just opened a museum in his honor. It is the site of the Battle of the taking of Fort Sackville, the French against the British. Rogers and Clark were there. The mighty Wabash River is there. In early Indiana history the people thought the country ended at the Wabash until Rogers and Clark left going west. Vincennes was the first state capitol. To the east of my town (Washington) is a large Amish community. We have south of us, Santa Claus, Indiana and a fun place with 3 wooden roller coasters, 2 are the largest in the world. It was voted the cleanest theme park in the country (world?)and free soft drinks! Then we have French Lick, Indiana!! Home of the famous French Lick Hotel where movie stars, royalty and even us common folk have stayed. Near these last 2 is Lincoln, Abraham Lincoln lived there and his mother is buried there. There is so much to see and do in southern Indiana!! Much more than I just mentioned. Come visit us Hoosiers!!

I went to my home page and wondered just where I was...is this SENIOR Friend Finder or ads for girls gone wild? In the Find Your Special Someone, was a 28 year old male with what looks like lacy panties and otherwise nothing and a female sounding handle, 2 - 26 year old males, and a 31 year old male.

Under Recent Member Photo Gallery is 4 more males 30, 28, 26, and 35.

The other day were all females! Is SFF asleep or just jerking us around? What do others think??
