So this year, I acquired a NEW Car! Despite the fact that it's an OLDsmobile! I've acquired a NEW mutt and I ran a 5K on NEW Year's Twenty-Eleven
So it's time to make a NEW Years Resolutions
My Resolution is to run a 5K in less than 45 Minutes. That is about 15 Minutes a Mile which is totally doable.
Also I want to clean the Stove and oven and NOT use it for the rest of the year.
Microwaves, Crockpots, Juicer and George Foreman will do all the Cooking for Twenty-Eleven

New Year's 2011 5K Run - The Old Girl Ran!!!!!

Slowly - My Finishing time was 51 minutes and 34 Seconds. On a Positive note, with timing like that all I can do is improve.
I haven't run since College, I wasn't expecting to win and didn't care long as I didn't finish dead last. I didn't finish last but I was definitely at the back of the pack.
As Freyja the Mutt and I were running, I kept thinking - There is nothing wrong with being a late bloomer. A late bloomer doesn't fade as quickly. I don't want to be last in running but I am really tired of being last in love. Why not exchange Last in Love for Lasting Love. I kept telling Freyja the Mutt. Hey Girl! YOU can do it. We can finish this run.
All of the Winners including the Seniors finished Twenty-Something Minutes. They all had wiry builds too. One of my running buddies told me that I am not built for speed. Life on life's Terms. I don't mind my curves but I do want to finish the Next 5K Faster than 51 minutes and 34 Seconds on my next run.
It was important for me to make this run. It's symbolic of old belief that I am trying to smash! The Belief that I am not worth loving. I've been divorced since 2002. I've had two relationships and a boyfriend since that time. The Boyfriend and Relationship#2 both ditched me for another woman. Ironically - Blonde Alcoholic Bimbos both named Sandy. Relationship#1 ended the relationship because he said I was too fat, too tall and couldn't complete with the Lot Lizards that he utilized for oral pleasure. Dang! I don't want to be a professional at that activity anyway. This is a man who calls his a sweat hog because she's built like Him.
Regardless, I know that Fool Hearted Man, His Bimbo and the Idiot Trucker with all his Lizards will NEVER get their lard azzzzzes out to walk much less run 5 K.
I figure if I can run and do what they can't, I can smash that belief. Also my New Year's Resolution is avoid any kind of man that reinforces that belief.
It means that I am throwing alot of guys to the curb and to
KEEP RUNNING!!!!!!
I will do better at the next running event

I will do whatever it takes to to bring LOVE, LUCK & PROSPERITY for TWENTY-ELEVEN !!!!so yesterday my boss mention that he had the Black-Eye Pea, Collard Greens and (hog jowls!) ready.
"Yuck! I'd feed them Hog Jowls to the Dog," I told him.
"You can buy Hog Jowls that look like Bacon," he advised me.
Don't Care! I can deal with Black Eye Peas and Collard Greens but the is still eating the Hog Jowls.
It's amazing how many Southern men will NOT eat Sushi but they eat HOG JOWLS!
So after work, I bee-bopped over the the Wal-Mart Super Center next door for my humble New Year's Day Fare. I opted for Ham Hocks instead of Hog Jowls. The will get to eat those too.
On New Year's Eve - It's Sushi Time!!!!!!
The tradition is that you celebrate decadently on New Year's Eve with caviar and champagne (or the best food you can afford) to ring out the old year in style. And then, on New Year's Day, you eat more soberly in order to bring luck and prosperity for the upcoming year.
Therefore, "poorer foods" - such as Hoppin' John (black-eyed pea dish), cabbage (sauerkraut) and pork (whether hog jowls, pig's feet or just pork roast) - are served on New Year's Day.

My and I talked about running the The Yuengling Shamrock Half Marathon in Virginia Beach but alas Registration was closed with a handful of them available in January for $200. It all goes to Charity. Yikes! I like give Charity to a point.
Thus My agreed to Register us for the The Yuengling Shamrock 8K will be held on Saturday, March 19th 2011.
You must be able to pick up your race packed on Friday, March 18th from 1pm - 9pm at the Virginia Beach Convention Center.

My younger procrastinated in getting his driver's License but finally got one a few months ago. He bought himself a car but never go it out of the yard. It was a piece of JUNK!!!!!
I sold my WallyWorld Stock - Brought myself an Oldsmobile and gave him MONTICELLO BLUE.
YIKES! My Baby Boy is DRIVING!!!!!
I purchased a St. Christoper for Him on the Bay.
I SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN A ST. CHRISTOPHER FOR MYSELF.
Thank God - I am older with more insurance.
That's the OTHER CAR that I backed into at the Harris Teeter Parking Lot. The Oldsmobile is unscathed.
I just ordered a St. Christoper for myself.

I was planning on running in Virginia Beach for the "Hair of the Dog" 5K. The idea is to run in formal attire. I have no formal attire. In fact I have no dresses and very few skirts.
S0............. I purchased a lace body stocking along with a black and silver skirt on the bay. My plan is to wear it over my leopard print swimsuit. All I have to do is don my running shoes and
The Old Girl is Ready to Run!!!!
I decided to do a local run versus driving to Virginia Beach because of financial and work schedule realities. If it's too cold, I will opt for Long Underwear instead. I will have to find OTHER Uses for that Body Stocking.

A OLDsMOBILE for An OLD Gal!

My needs a car so I decided to buy a newer car and give him the Malibu. I cashed in my Stock and started looking at cars.
Since I am still recovering from my ex-marriage and West Virginia - my credit is not the greatest - So Two weeks ago, I went into a car dealer. I told the salesman - I have $1800. I'd like to pay off my Malibu and use the rest as a down payment for a new car. Lets do a Credit Check first so that we don't waste both our times.
Oh Your Credit is fine he says. So here's the offer. Yada Yada Yada! The Following Week, the lenders said, Nope! Your Credit is NFG! Life on Life's Terms
Oh Well! The Dealer from whom that I purchased Monticello Blue was very happy to have a repeat customer.
"And Since your credit score has improved so much, we were able to find you a lender with a lower interest rate" she told me. They also lowered the price of the Oldsmobile that I purchased.
I remember my Scorpio Granddaddy drove an Oldsmobile. It seems like a fancy luxury car. Ideal for an Old Person. Dang! I am my Scorpio Granddaddy's Age. In fact I am older than my Scorpio Granddaddy since he entered the SpiritWorld when he was 53.
I was talking to my 70 year old ex-husband who is looking for a new car. "You really ought to consider replacing that FireChicken with an Oldsmobile." It has all kinds of bells and whistles and is ideal for an OLD person." Grumpy the ex-hubby who had three heart attacks, a stroke and has COPD - mumbles "I think I'll stick to my Firebird. That car doesn't handle West Virginia Winters well at all.
My younger will be picking up the Malibu on Sunday.

Ironically - One of my favorite Holiday is Halloween aka Samhain. It's the season versus the day. I love the autumn and the energy of the falling leaves. Freyja the Mutt - loves walking in the leaves and doing her business.
Samhain is believe to be the time of the year when the Veil between the two worlds is thinnest. It's a time to honor the ancestors and our loved ones in the Spirit World. It's also the period of SCORPIO.
I also love Thanksgiving because it's my 12 Step Teetotaler Anniversary and it's my youngest 's birthday. Ironically it is when I had one of my first Spiritual experiences.
Christmas is kind of Ho Hum because it's Winter. I don't need a special day to honor the Creator and I can give presents anytime I want to. IN FACT - I often take advantage of AFTER X-Mas Sales and spend the presents by January 7th which is technically OLD CHRISTMAS. X-Mas is technically a season versus just one day.

More JOY for Your JINGLE
This is the Motto at Sam's Club during the Holidays.
My attitude about Holidays is usually BAH HUMBUG!
But this year More JOY for Your JINGLE
may be the closer reality.
My needs a car. My plan was to get Monticello Blue the East Coast Malibu paid off which would be in July. give the car to him and buy a newer model.
The Dilemma is that my needs a car NOW!
He takes the bus to work and get a ride part of the way back home but has to walk up Ronceverte Hill at Night. Winter is approaching and this is not safe. He brought a car that is older than he is. No matter how much money he puts into that car, he can't get it out of the yard.
So this week, I cashed in my Wally World Stock - with plans to pay down Monticello Blue and use the Rest as a down payment for a new car.
I went to a car dealer today, and told him, I owe $1300 on my current car. I want to give it to my who needs a car and buy a newer car. I sold my stock and have $1,800 coming in the mail. Can we put a deal together.
So here was the Deal, The 2011 Nissan has a $2000 rebate. It will be used to pay off the Malibu AND the Down Payment for the Nissan.
and I still have the $1,800 check from selling my stock. Car Insurance, A New GPS, UNGRADED Triple AAA memberships for both me and my .
Happiness is not the Loot I get for the Holidays. It's being able to give to my sons and knowing they are safe.
